Laila nodded slowly, watching him relax again, and feeling satisfied that he was no longer looking so forlorn. "I love you too." she whispered, relaxing against him again as she watched their daughter twirl around the yard, singing at the top of her lungs. "Sure is." She agreed, smiling brightly. "I think she'll fit in just fine here…" She shook her head. Pablo had gotten up early and was already in his hiking gear. He was excited to meet a new lovely girl, and gain a date, or at least a friend. he showed up at her place, checking the address, and then running a hand through his black hair, before striding up and ringing the doorbell, waiting in nervous anticipation.
Ashley rolled her eyes, tipping her head back. "Well I didn't choose this body, mister. But I did choose to be a nerd. It's who I am at the heart." She said dramatically, smiling up at him. "And I've found my soul mate." She reached up and played with his hair, loving the feel of it on her fingers as always.
Krissy could feel her heart pounding as he played his hand. He was just raising it higher and higher. She didn't want to bring it too high, as she really didn't have good cards. But she wanted him to think that she did, so she kept her face neutral and nodded, "Alright, if that's how you want to play. I'll raise you twenty five, and you lose your pants." She played the chips and checked her cards again. She was screwed if he didn't buy her act, and she was getting nervous.
Chris smiled watching the puppy bounce around behind her and yipping concerned as she just kept spinning and spinning getting dizzier. He sighed sipping the wine as well and texted Krissy making sure she was ok "Hey Squish! I miss you, you'd love it here the air is fresh and warm and everything is so fairytale like. We have seen where Juliet's house is and I thought of you. Parker misses you, asks about you all the time. Give my best to Danny!"Mai opened the door and internally flushed, good gracious he was a handsome man! Like better then the photos, she could see his ripping muscles through the t-shirt. Wait, say something idiot "Hey, you must be Pablo I'm Mai."
Malibu smiled and nuzzled her chest and kissed her again "And I found mine...when we tell your mom about the wedding plans she is going to flip..." he mused and flipped them so she was on top caressing her waist softly.
Danny chuckled lightly "You don't have anything Kriss, should I take mercy on you or just keep raising it higher?" he mused to himself and grinned at her.
Parker plopped into a pile in the grass, giggling, and Laila smiled, shaking her head at their girl. She was so much like her father in many ways. She glanced over at Chris and noticed that he was texting Krissy. She smiled softly, resting her hand on his shoulder, and then tucking her head on top. "How is she doing in the new place?" she asked, missing seeing that little ball of fire around the house. Pablo smiled brightly when the door opened, revealing the girl that he had seen in the photos. She was sweet looking, and even sweeter in person. He dipped his head in response, smiling gently. "Yes, I'm Pablo. It's a pleasure to meet you." he said, sticking his hands in his pocket's casually. "Are you ready to head out?"
Ashley laughed softly, resting her forehead on his collarbone. "I think she'll be thrilled." she said seriously. "She'll want to make all the plans herself." She shook her head and kissed his chest, her smile soft. "I can't wait to be your wife." she said honestly. She could see it now, the white dress, the guests, the vows… the night after.
Krissy groaned inwardly. So he knew. She was screwed. But she couldn't fold until her turn. So she scowled and clutched her cards to herself. "Oh don't rub it in. Hurry up and play the bet so I can fold." she said, finding no reason to hide what her hand was anymore. He obviously knew. And she also knew that she was losing some clothing this round.
Chris smiled over at her "She complains about the colors of the walls and the kitchen cupboards but honestly I think she loves it and just doesn't want to make a big deal about it...she went registry shopping with Danny today so that's big."Mai smiled and nodded grabbing her bag and calling into the house "I'm leaving!" so he wouldn't worry and followed him out to his car, which happened to be a jeep her dream car "I am so jealous! I've always wanted my own jeep!"
Malibu smiled and nuzzled her gently "I can't wait either...we've been through a lot together and I can't wait to see what else is in store for us..." he nuzzled her gently and smiled "She can plan some of it...since we both are horrible at prioritizing."
Mira was done with the antibiotics and things were feeling better, she had opened up her own tattoo shop instead of her apartment and was setting up glancing at Antony "So...I have another tattoo in mind for myself want to see it?" it was a stork with a little baby bundle, after the meds she went to the doctor and low and behold the 'rewards' after the shots paid off.
Danny chuckled "Fine i'll raise it a penny and you get to keep your bra and pants but lose your...hair elastic."
Laila laughed softly. "She probably just misses you." She said gently. She knew she missed Krissy, she couldn't imagine how Krissy must miss her brother. "It'll be nice to see them again at the wedding. How are you feeling about that?" She asked, raising an eyebrow. "Seeing that they're getting married before us…" She laughed softly, shaking her head. "Crazy, really. But I guess your job keeps us busy."Pablo showed her out to his jeep and he beamed, glad that someone liked it. He patted the hood. "She's been faithful so far, never had any issues." He said honestly, shrugging. "I always liked this make." He hopped in the driver's side and turned the engine over. "So we're heading to the mountains?" he said, looking over at her.
Ashley nodded in agreement, curling up on her side beside him. "We've been through a ton." She agreed, marvelling at everything that had happened, and that they were still together and going strong. "She'll love to plan the whole thing, so don't let her hear you say that. But yeah, I think we need the help." She agreed.
Antony was helping load inks into the shop shelves and he smiled at her when she spoke of another tattoo. "Oh?" he inquired, unloading his arms and then coming over to look at the design. He smiled softly at the tattoo and nodded in approval. "I think that is so completely adorable." he kissed her. "And you're opening in ten. Are you ready?"
Krissy sighed, putting down her cards, somewhat relieved. He could have been a lot harder on her. "Alright. You win this round." she said, flipping over her cards. She pulled out her hair elastic first, letting her long dark hair hang around her shoulders. She dropped the elastic in front of him, and then slowly unbuttoned her shirt, shrugging it off her shoulders, and dumping it on top of the elastic. "Alright. No peaking now." She said as she jumped up and moved behind a tree to change out of her panties and pull her pants back on again. She wasn't going to let him see anything yet. Returning, she dropped the lacy thing on top of her shirt and sat back down. "Your deal this time."
Chris blew through his lips "I don't like that she's getting married before us but I am glad she found someone who takes care of her and loves her almost as much as I do. She could have picked worse." he mused and kissed her head "Id get married now if youd allow it...but you want the big white wedding honey."Mai nodded "Yeah there's a nice trail up there that I love to hike and it stops at a lake where we can have food and just talk if youd like." she hopped in the seat next to him and gave him the directions. She decided she'd let him ask the first question.
Malibu nuzzled her "I'm going to be leaving soon to get your dad out of jail...Then he'll be at the wedding and you can have your daddy daughter dance you wanted..."
Mira laughed lightly, he didn't know about the baby yet and this was her way of telling him. But he was so focused on their opening day he was completely oblivious. "Love!" she pulled him back to show him the tattoo "What is it of?" she mused trying to get him to figure it out on his own.
Danny chuckled and nodded pulling the money and the clothes to him "Just watch youll stick it to me on this round and i'll be the one fairy cold and exposed." he dealt the cards and internally groaned at his hand, well he called it.
Laila nodded slowly in agreement. "I approve of Daniel too. He seems like a nice guy." She said seriously. She tucked her legs up under herself and watched as the stars started to twinkle in the sky. Parker was already lying flat, just watching them and petting the dog. Laila smiled lightly. "You know what… as long as we're married, I don't care how it happens. I just want to wear something white, and walk down towards you and tell you how much I love you." she said seriously. Pablo nodded, thinking that over. A hike through the mountains, a lunch at a hidden lake? Sounded like an adventure, and he was totally up for adventure. "Sounds good to me, love." he said seriously, backing out of the driveway and following her directions towards the mountain. "I don't think I've ever hiked here before…" He admitted. "Do you hike often?"
Ashley nodded, suddenly growing nervous. She was nervous about seeing her father again after so many years. And just the thought of the father daughter dance made her eyes tear up. "thank you Mali, you know how much this means to me." She kissed him. "Be safe, ok? Jail isn't a friendly place."
Antony raised an eyebrow and looked back at the drawing again, surveying it a little more carefully. He could see a stork now, artfully drawn in swooping lines. And it was carrying something… something whitish… Antony ground, and then his eyes widened. "Does this tattoo have any particular significance?" he asked softly.
Krissy rolled her eyes, knowing he was just trying to make her feel better, and didn't actually believe that at all, but she nodded, looking over her cards. It was a decent hand this time, and she kept her face straight. "Alright, we'll start the same as last round. I raise you fifteen, You'll take off your shirt, and I'll take off my socks." She winked at him.
Chris smiled "You know what? We'll get married tomorrow the aisle can be between the vineyards and the gazebo it'll be beautiful!" he said kissing her cheek and watching Parker "Ready for bed little bug?"Mai smiled, yes first question! "I love hiking but I don't hike as much as i'd like to. I was really focused on the Airforce and spent more time focused on the air then the ground. It's my first time since the accident so I'm really excited."
Malibu nodded "I know I've been once..." he let the pause permeate "In Monopoly." he grinned and kissed her cheek "I'll be fine, I'll get him out without problems and bring him back to the hotel so he doesn't have to see your mom just yet."
Mira nodded and smiled "It does in fact...signifies a little avocado sized human in my uterus." she grinned and kissed him lovingly. She wasn't actually going to get the tattoo not yet at least but she was excited to see the look on his face.
Danny nodded and blinked watching her, did she have a good hand this time? He certainly didn't...but he could get a nice show if he kept going "Raise you 5 and you take off your necklace."
Laila beamed, liking that idea. "Alright. I'll go find a dress in town today, and get some flowers from our backyard." She decided, thrilled that they actually were to be married. She stood then, scooping up a bleary eyed little Parker. "I'm just fine… I'mna sleepy…." she mumbled. Laila smiled, brushing her hair back. "Let's get you tucked in."Pablo nodded in understanding. He knew her back story, as Jace had told him about her, and made sure to say not to talk too much about the accident. "You sound like a passionate woman." he commented, smiling as he pulled into the parking area for the hiking trail. "I'm glad I get to be the one to go with you on your first hike! Though I'll probably have a hard time keeping up with you. Jace said you're quite the speed demon in your jogs." He smiled kindly at her.
Ashley's face immediately wrinkled in worry, and then indignation. "That wasn't funny!" She swatted at him. "I thought you meant a real jail!" she shook her head. "I'll have to break the news slowly to mother, so let me know when you have him back again." She said seriously.
Antony's eyes widened even further and a grin split his features. "Oh my gosh! Mira!" he picked her up and spun her around. "That's wonderful!" He said, absolutely thrilled. "I feel so stupid." He admitted, laughing aloud. He knew he had totally missed that one at first.
Krissy looked up at him, "Only five?" she said, watching him carefully. He never bid that low. Could it be that he didn't have a good hand this round? "Alright." She said smoothly, looking at her hand. "I raise you ten." she said, deciding to go easy on him, as she played her chips. "And you take of your shoes and socks." She wondered just how long she could drag this out before he folded.
Chris pulled out the sheets and got her tucked in and kissed her head "goodnight Parker...I love you angel..." He smiled at Laila and hugged her close so excited they were getting married tomorrow.Mai smiled and shokk her head "I'm probably out of shape and you'll have to carry me." She teased and grinned over at him "I'm not too heavy ask Jace he picks me up whenever he feels like it as annoying as that is." She got out of the jeep when they arrived "so what do you do for a living?"
Mira hugged him tightly and laughed jumping with her legs around his hips "seriously though darling...it was pretty obvious but it's ok at least you know now!"
Malibu nodded and gave a smile "I'm leaving in the morning so...don't miss me too much alright? And no falling for some British chap either though the accents are very sexy."
Danny lookec at his cards as if willing them to change suits and bit his lip, she was a horrid poker played what could she have? "Fine I'll raise you 10 more and I get your...shoes and socks."
Parker mumbled something an promptly drifted off. Laila smiled, flicking out the light. "She's a sweetheart…" She whispered, turning on the night light and closing the door. "so… this is our last night of being engaged." she said softly, fingering her ring. "tomorrow we'll be legally married."Pablo laughed in earnest then. "I'll carry you if you faint." He promised, winking at her. "To be honest, I'm glad that you and Jace are friends. He really needs to get it out of his mind that all women are scary." he said seriously, hopping out of the jeep. He shut the door and looked up at the mountain. "I'm working in the navy currently, designing subs for the marines." He said honestly. "You might like the air, but I'm something of a fish. Developing a sub to withstand pressures in the marinas trench currently."
Antony kissed her deeply, shaking his head as he leaned his forehead against hers. "I'm sorry. And thank you for the hints." he grinned at her. the bell rang then as the first customer came in and he put her down gently. "Looks like it's time to get to work."
Ashley nodded slowly, tucking herself against him. "I'll miss you, but I'll try my best not to miss you too terribly." She promised. She pulled her blanket up over both of them, smiling. "Yes, their accents are absolutely sexy, but I promise I only have my heart for you." she vowed.
Krissy was confident that her cards could win her this round, but since males wore less complicated clothing, she was feeling badly for him losing everything so fast, so she went easy. "Alright. Heres another ten and I want your belt and watch." She said, playing again. "Are you sure you want to keep going?" she asked her eyes running meaningfully to his pants. "You really only have two more things to barter with…" She smiled playfully.
Chris nodded thinking about the wonder that it is and smiled down at her "We will...and I can finally add the wedding band to it..." he mused kissing her cheek and laying down on their bed and holding her close inhaling her scent "Mmm you know, asking you out that night I never thought it would lead to this...and Kenna and Luke still exploring Europe..." he blinked and then grinned "They might be close to Italy! They could come to the wedding!"Mai nodded her agreement "He doesn't think their scary per se...just doesn't think of himself one to date. Afraid to get hurt or hurt them." she hoisted her backpack and started up the trail smiling back at him "That sounds amazing Pablo, really I've always loved the ocean cant swim too well to be honest but most of my favorite animals belong in the ocean."
Mira nodded and smiled going to the customer "Hey welcome to Black Lotus Tattoos, I'm Mira the store owner and head artist over there is Antony the store manager and artist...and a few more artists. But what were you thinking about getting today?"
Malibu smiled and nuzzled her sighing "My sister is in Italy now Ash...They had to move because of kidnapping...isn't that crazy? I mean I've never had to move...and they've moved twice now..."
Danny groaned and sighed "I fold, it's too nippy of a night to go commando." he admitted and gave her his watched and belt. He leaned over and kissed her "Next round is obviously the winner love...or do you want to forfitt and stay dressed?"
Laila changed into her night gown and tucked herself under the covers beside him, smiling lightly. "I can't wait to complete the set." She said, running her thumb over the ring. It meant so much to her. Then she laughed. "We sure have gotten into a lot of adventures since then." She agreed. Then her eyes lit up. "Oh wouldn't that be wonderful! I'll text Kenna and ask where she is." She promised. She pulled out her phone and texted Kenna about the wedding and where they would be having it. Pablo laughed then. "Yes, I know. All because of that incident. Sad really. He needs some love in his life." He said, locking his car and slipping the keys in his pocket. "I'm glad you like the ocean. I really do like the waves. The world is so calm and so still under the water." He said seriously. He started up the trail and smiled at her. "You're keeping up just fine so far. Tell me what your favourite animals are?"
The customer was a young man, who looked a little nervous, but mostly eager. "Yeah, hi. I'm David, and i'd like to get band around my forearm?" he asked hopefully, looking around the shop. "Nice place by the way. New?"
Ashley swallowed, shaking her head. "Those poor people! That's twice now!" She rested her head on his chest. "I do hope that Italy is a better match for them…" she smiled over at him. "So is this going to be a good reason for us to take some time off in Italy and visit them?"
Krissy beamed, setting down her cards. She had won and she grinned from ear to ear. "Ok. Shirt, shoes and socks too mister." She curled her fingers towards him, smiling brightly. The sun had set and it was starting to get a little cold. He had taken her shirt after all. "Let's continue this inside, because I want to see who wins this." she said, getting up and packing up their picnic supplies to carry into the house.
Kenna blinked as her phone went off, they were camped out on the mountain in a tent backpacking for about a week now. She pulled the sleeping bag closer and grabbed her phone she grinned getting the text "We are close! We can be there for sure in the morning! Oh congratulations I miss you guys, how old is Parker now?" She didn't tell them she was 6 months pregnant.Mai laughed "We haven't even got through the first mile, I would certainly hope that I'm not tired yet...um I love manatees I think they are big sweethearts and my favorite movie is finding nemo so I love all the fish in that movie...I don't know it's a hard one. Otters are adorable, I love how they hold hands." she admitted and smiled pulling him up a steep incline "What about you?"
Mira nodded and smiled "Just opened in fact, come on back to the tracing table and ill get you set up. Antony will be doing your tattoo today he's better at that kind of work."
Malibu chuckled "After Russia of course...we will just explore the world together and still complete missions and visit our family and maybe inbetween all that we can have little monkeys."
Danny chuckled and grabbed both of their clothes and headed inside to the living room. He was having difficulty keeping his pants on without the belt however.
Laila beamed when she got the text. She was so looking forward to seeing her friend again. It had been far too long! "Oh wonderful! I can't wait to see you tomorrow!" She said, seriously thrilled. "Parker is three now, and quite the little ball of fire." She said honestly. "I'm starting to feel that it would be good to have another kid as a friend for her, but… life has been busy, and we're getting married tomorrow."Pablo grinned, hiking up the trail. The world dropped away, and it was just beautiful scenery. He was truly enjoying it. "Oh, finding Nemo is a brutal movie. So sad. Get's me every time." He said honestly, smiling over at her. "My favourite animal, personally, are dolphins. And I know that sounds girly, but the marines actually use dolphins to track subs, and their quite the little vicious killers when they wish to be."
David smiled then, relaxing a little. "Congrats on the opening. Does that make me like… the first person here or something?" He asked, following her back.
Antony nodded. "You bet. Cool huh? So you wanted a band?" he asked, pulling out the sheets of paper to lay on the table.
Ashley nodded in agreement. "Oh I can't wait to travel. That will be so wonderful, just exploring the world with you. There aren't many places we haven't been… but it will be nice to explore them with you." She said honestly. Then she laughed. "Real monkeys? Or kid-monkeys?" She asked, raising an eyebrow.
Krissy helped carry the stuff inside, and then flicked on the lights. It was warmer in the house, but she rubbed her arms to get warmer faster, before sitting down on the living room carpet. She looked to Daniel and smiled softly. "Having troubles there?" She asked, dealing out the cards.
Kenna giggled as she got the text and smiled over at Luke "We are going to a wedding tomorrow and you need a shower badly."She teased and wrote back her friend "Holy cow she's big! Just like her daddy right? lol it'll be great to see you. I've got a couple of surprises myself. Hey there isn't anything wrong with practicing right?"
Mai smiled and nodded following him up the hill and giggling as she thought about dolphins "I love them too, they are very smart and they are the only animals besides humans that have sex for fun..." oh why did she say that?!...way to be awkward Mai...
Mira smiled and nodded helping Antony with the stencil since that was the part he struggled with and nodded "Looks really good, call me if you need any help. You are in great hands though."
Malibu chuckled "kids...of course, we already have our little sugar glider. Though I don't think he wants to go traveling...he doesn't like to leave his cage or the house."
Danny shook his head "You wish little girl...soon you'll be having problems because I won't be keeping my hands off of you..."
Luke looked over and raised an eyebrow. A wedding? In Italy? He was envisioning bursting into a stranger's wedding and he shook his head. "Ooookaaaayyyy…….." He said, confused. Laila smiled softly, nodding. "Yes, she's gotten big. And yes again, exactly like her father. :) I love watching her explore the new place, she's been thrilled with Italy so far." then she smiled a little more shyly. "Yeah, nothing wrong with that."
Pablo just chuckled, nodding. "Yup, that about sums them up. Creative animals if you ask me. They've got it right. Sex should be enjoyed." he looked up then as he saw a dip in their hike, and they rounded a bend. "Is this the lake?" he asked in wonder, surveying the body of water nestled in a valley.
Antony bit his tongue as he worked, and then nodded. "I think we're good." he assured, leading David back to one of the chairs, once he was happy with the stencil. Then he got him set up to start inking, and talked with him the whole time to keep him comfortable.
Ashley laughed softly, nodding as she let her eyes close. "Kid-monkey's it is." then she bit her lip. "If we're gone for a very long time… maybe we should give Willy to someone who can watch him and give him the time and care he needs?" She suggested, hated the thought of saying goodbye to their 'son'.
Krissy raised an eyebrow at him. "Lofty ideas from the man who has only his pants to bet on." She teased, looking through her hand. It was a mediocre set of cards, and she knew she could win or lose depending on how she played it. "You're on." She said, grinning at him.
Kenns laughed at his facial expressions and shook her head "did I mention it's Laila's and Chris' wedding?" She giggled and hugged him "oh little girl is kicking up a storm!" She said pressing his hand to her stomach.Chris dmiked watching her "what's that cute blush about?"
Mai laughed and nodded "those 10 miles just flew by right?" She teased pulling him to the shady spot under the trees and brought out the food and water "I had Nutella and banana, turkey or tunafish sandwiches?" She asked grabbing a Nutella one for herself and sipping her water.
Mira smiled and called Ashlry to let her know the news about the tattoo parlor opening and the baby. She grinned watching Antony work, he had become so talanted and she was so proud.
Danny glanced at his cards and geoaned at how horrible they were, he wasn't going to win this round "I fold." He chuckled and stripped down "Krissy is the winner!"
Luke's eyes widened and he grinned. "At last!" He exclaimed, happy for his friends. "that was long overdue…" he lay his hands on her stomach, rubbing gently. "Hi little baby… be nice to your mother…" He crooned, smiling up at Kenna. "How are you feeling?"Laila blushed brighter when Chris noticed. "Um… well… Kenna and I were… discussing…." She swallowed, tucking her phone away.
Pablo smiled, nodding in agreement. "It was refreshing." He said, plopping down on the grass under the trees. His eyes lit up at the food options. "Oh man… oh man oh man. Did you make all of these? These are like all my favourites, right in a perfect little basket of goodness!"
Ashley smiled when she got the text from her friend, and she immediately responded. "Congrats!" She sent back, happy that Mira had managed to open up a place for herself.
Antony finished up the band quickly, and David paid and left, thanking them. Flexing his hands, Antony came over to hug Mira. "Hows work going?'
Krissy just stared for a moment. She had won? She had actually won? Her face split into a grin and she beamed. "I won!" she exclaimed, jumping up and hugging him. She giggled and pulled him into the bedroom. "Now, I think it was a pretty close game and we both deserve a reward."
Kenna smiled lightly "im ok, we aren't stopping any of our adventures till im in labor. I'm fine ok? We still have so many things planned like the Mandrake caves. I can't wait to go in a couple of months!" She kissed his cheek "I'll be fine ok? Some woman have birth while working in the rice fields. They keep going."Mai giggled and nodded "yeah i made all of my favorites because I didn't know what you liked, except the turkey I don't eat meat but it's Jaces favorite!" She munched and grinned at him "dig in, seriously I eat like a pig so don't feel too formal."
Mira smiled over at him "slow but...looks like you rocked that tattoo he was a virgin of ink and I didn't hear him complain once, which is really impressive Antony!" She texted her back "hey feel like being a godmother?"
Luke smiled softly, shaking his head in amusement. "You're quite the trooper." he said, laying back on their air-matress with her. "And I can't wait to have many more adventures with you." he said, pecking her lips before tucking them in. Pablo grinned, taking one Nutella, and one turkey, and eating them contentedly. "well thanks for bringing them up, this is like a buffet!" he said, smiling brightly. He downed the two sandwiches, and then took another two. "I don't know, I think I'm more of a pig than you…" He teased.
Antony beamed, happy that she approved. "Thank you. I did my best." he kissed her cheek. "And I had a wonderful teacher." he smiled, patting her butt as he passed. "I'll go finish sorting the inks until someone knew comes."
Ashley got the text and immediately squealed, so happy for her. "Oh. My. Gosh. When are you due!?" She texted back.
Kenna nodded curling up to his side and snuggling in as much as her stomach would allow. "Goodnight Luke...big day tomorrow..." She mumbled falling asleep pretty quickly, nature did that to her always made her beyond tired.Mai giggled and shook her head "I sincerely doubt that, I love my food I have to go to the grocery store nearly every day." she sipped her water laying back on the blanket and looking up at him "so...tell me more about Pablo."
Mira smiled swatting him away and answering the text as she arranged the flash book photos near the front desk "in 7 months or so, I just told Antony and he's pretty excited about it. How's life in Great Britain?"
Luke nodded in agreement. "Alright, goodnight." He whispered, wrapping his arms around her gently. He made sure the tent was shut before falling asleep as well. Pablo chuckled and took another bite of the sandwich, swallowing before he looked down at her and started a tale. "I grew up in Spain, where the sun meets the sand every evening, and it all catches fire." He smiled softly. "We moved to the States for my father's work, and now I travel for my own." he explained.
Ashley grinned, shaking her head in surprise. "That's amazing! I can't wait to see the little tyke. We have to talk soon!" she insisted. "Britain is great, Mali just left to Russia this morning though, so it's a bit lonely right now."
Chris smiled and nuzzled his girl as he listened the crickets "so are they coming? To the wedding?" He saw her frantically text her friend so there was probably much bring said.Mai listened to him tell about Spain and her face was in awe "that sounds wonderful..,I lived in India for some time but I always wanted to go to Spain." She admitted and hugged her legs to her chest.
Mira frowned lightly "I'm sorry, are you going to be ok?"
Laila looked up as Chris spoke and she nodded, tucking herself against him as she put her phone down. "Yeah, they're coming, and they can't wait to see us." She said, smiling happily. "It's been so long since we last saw them…."Pablo nodded slowly, almost in reverence "It was a wonderful place." he said honestly. He slipped an arm around her shoulders and smiled down at her. "I'm really glad I met you. This has been a lot of fun." He said honestly.
Ashley bit her lip, wondering how much she should confide in her. "Well… I'm feeling lonely, and nervous, but I'm doing alright still."
Chris nodded in agreement and smiled "they are out exploring the world with no hotel rooms or showers. I couldnt do it i like the finer things in life...like soap." He chuckled playing with her long hair through his fingers "but im glad they'll be there maybe Luke wont suspect me anymore."Mai smiled up in agreement and lay her head on his shoulder "i totally agree, best time ive had in a long time..." their lips were so close she was wondering how far they were going to take this...just a first date afterall. But it was like she was with Jace but Jace actually had some feelings for her. Pablo did...at least thats what it seemed like.
Mira frowned worried about her friend and went to the backroom to talk to her "hey this is me, you can tell me anything Ash..." she said soothingly sensing some energy over the phone.
Malibu arrived at the prison and quickly found her fathers cell "Sir...im Mali we spoke over letters im getting you out of here." He said seriously "ivr found enough evidence that they will release you...with benefits."
Laila laughed softly, twining her fingers with his. "My handsome man has a taste for refinery." She whispered, pulling up the flannel blanket from the side of the swing and tucking it around them. "If he's still cold at you, I'll knock him over the head, I promise." She vowed, not liking her friends to be fighting. Pablo's lips curled up into a half smile. She was charming, she was beautiful, she was funny, and easy to talk to. He was incredibly grateful that he had agreed to today. Reaching down, he ran his thumb over her cheek, just looking into her eyes for a moment. Then he leaned down and pressed his lips to hers.
Ashley sighed softly, knowing she wasn't going to get out of this without talking about it. And she really did need someone to talk to. "Well… It's just lonely here. And Malibu is bringing my father back, and I'll be seeing him for the first time in a long time, and my mother is going to have to face him again, even though she's remarried…. I just… there's a lot of drama over here right now."
A man with dark hair, completely unlike Ashley's looked up. He had her eyes, however, and his ever present frown softened into something that looked like hope. It felt weird on his face. He had not felt it in a long time. "Yes, I remember you. You can help me get home? Is Ashley alright?"
Chris smirked and tapped her nose "those self defense classes were not for you to hit people over the head whenever you feel like it." He teased and wrapped the blanket around them both "of course I have a taste for refinery...I chose you didn't i?"Mai leaned in with him slowly and gently kissed him back still holding back so she wasn't seeing at desperate or anything. She wasn't well versed at kissing anyways and this would be the second guy she ever had kissed...Mmm soft lips, spicy tangy scent...this was nice...
Mira frowned and sighed "I'm sorry love, I'd fly to England right now if time and money permitted it. But leaving the agency made my flight benefits disappear. Just talk with your mum or sketch, I love your art work you know...and it'll be wonderful to see your father think of that instead of the drama and tension yes? I mean you have both of your parents don't you realize how lucky you are?"
Malibu nodded "she is very well and excited to see you...in fact her and I are getting married and she couldn't do it without a father daughter dance..." He had the warden unlock him and handed him a fresh pair of clothes and toiletries to pull himself together.
Laila laughed and brushed his hand away. "What else were they for then?" She asked, feigning innocence. "I think they were very helpful." she said, nodding her head in mock seriousness. Then she blushed, looking up at him. "You should write poetry. That was like… the most beautiful thing I've ever heard." She kissed him softly, leaning her head on his shoulder.Pablo paused, hoping she wouldn't jerk away from him and slap him, or something like that. But when she seemed to relax, he wrapped his arms around her gently, kissing back with the same sweet slowness that she was kissing him with. He broke it to breathe, and smile once down in her eyes, before he kissed her again, a little softer. "I should walk you back… it's getting late." he whispered rather regretfully.
Ashley nodded absentmindedly, huffing. "No, don't bother. It's alright. It's been good being able to talk to you at least." She said seriously. "I know you've been busy as well. Tell me all about the studio sometime, ok?" She said seriously. "Right now I'm just really worried my parents will start fighting, and my father will want to leave again. I love them both, you know? I don't want them to fight again. Once was enough."
That caused him to beam into a smile. "My little girl… getting married. Congratulations, young man. You certainly have earned my approval." He said kindly, changing into the new clothes. He went to the washroom quickly to wash his face and hair and shave. He came out looking ten years younger. "Can we just leave now? Or is there legal stuff that needs to be cleared up?" He asked, wondering how long he'd have to wait.
Chris shook his head "I wrote songs not poetry, it's too...sensitive, I am secure with my manhood." He played with yet hand with the ring and smiled "can't wait to get married to you...and then going home to see Kriss walk down the aisle crazy right?"Mai friwned not wanting the moment to end, she put the food away and got up holding onto him "least it's all down hill right?" She smiled taking his hand "want to plan something tomorrow?"
Ashley frowned "honey...from what I heard they weren't fighting...it's just the story you were told so you didn't know that man was stalking you...he killed hm to protect your family. I bet they still care very much for eachother, problem is your mom is remarried right?"
Malibu shook his head and gave a smile "my agency took care of everything a jet is waiting to take you to England and the place you are staying. If you like it you can move in, if not we'll find somewhere else."
Laila laughed softly and lay her hand on his chest, tracing circles. "You'll have to sing to me sometime." She said seriously, looking down at the ring on her finger. Seemed like such a long time ago that they had gotten engaged. "That is most incredibly crazy. We're getting old…" She shook her head, smiling a little. They were still considered a young couple, but it felt like life had stretched out for Laila. Pablo stood, his smile soft as he nodded. "Yup, all down hill." he agreed. He picked up the food basket and looped his arm through hers, walking down the mountain again. "Oh… I would love to see you tomorrow, but I'm visiting my sister in Naples. I'm free this weekend though. Could I take you someplace?" he offered.
Ashley sighed softly. She hadn't put two and two together and she sat down on the bed, taking a moment to digest. "True, I suppose. But yes, my mother is remarried, so that will get awkward." she agreed. "I feel bad for my mother, caught between two guys. But… it was her decision to remarry…my father doesn't even know yet…."

He said in a false Italian accent.Mai nodded "I'd love that, I'm going flying with Jace on Friday but Saturday and Sunday im very much open. I just need to see if I can handle even being in a plane before trying to fly again you know? But I will text you if you'd like...and I think I might miss you." She admitted with a flushed face.
Mira bit her lip "I'm sure Malibu is catching him up on everything it's his personality and job afterall but...im sure it's hard but think about how wonderful it will be to see him and hug him...just think about that Ash." She tried to persuade "oh dos you get the tattoos I sent?"
Malibu chuckled "it's part of the agency I work for, we have all the latest technology. Sir I'd like to catch you up on Ashley's life since you were imprisoned...your wife married again shortly after and Ash was put in finishing school till she joined the academy and agency...she's 23 now and gorgeous, very smart and very accomplished." He handed him the file.
Laila laughed softly, realizing how silly that sounded. "I know… I'm over reacting. I just… realize that as a kid, I always thought that parents with kids were so old… and now I'm that person… and it feels strange… you know?" She said, shaking her head. "It is very beautiful here, mon amore, and I didn't mean that you don't sing. You sing lots. I was just expressing how much I enjoy it when you do. It never would hurt to pamper me more you know…" She teased, lacing her fingers with his again. Pablo nodded in agreement. "For sure." he said, thinking it wonderful that she was getting over her fear. "Text me on Saturday, if you find some time off." He said seriously. "And I'm sure I'll be able to come right over." he promised. The he smiled softly, getting back into his car. "I think I'll miss you too, Mai, this has been an incredible adventure." He insisted.
Ashley nodded, chewing on her lip. She knew she was just being an old worry wart, but it was hard not to stress. This was a big moment in her life. "I know… I know. I'll try to make less of a big deal of it." She said softly, sighing. Then she smiled a little. "Yeah, I got them. They look amazing, Mira, you're ever talented as always. And great idea, about getting the temporary ones."
He shook his head slowly, amazed. Any man who was part of an agency, and working for the good of people, and having money on the side, was obviously a good choice for his daughter, and he was happy. His expression grew sad, and then thoughtful as he was told about his family. "So that's what I'll being going back to." he said softly, flipping through the pictures. "I just want to see them again." he ran a finger over his daughters smiling face and sighed.
Chris chuckled and nuzzled her "Mmm what shall I sing for you..." He mused and started a low ballid from an opera all in Italian as he played with her hair and hand hoping that the soft music would help her go to sleep because it was late and they had a very big day tomorrow. Mai smiled hopping into his jeep and leaning over and pecking his cheek "I think it's the start of something..." She admitted and checked her phone now that they had service. No calls or texts which wasn't unusual "so how many siblings do you have?"
Mira grinned "you know id be very willing to make it permanent, and I have found that Antony has a lite touch. He just tattooed a virgin and the kid was no older then 18 and he didn't seem that phased." She admitted and smiled "I so wish I could be at your wedding! Take lots of pictures and record the ceremony because id hop in a plane if I could!"
Malibu sighed "I'm sorry sir..." He said quietly patting his shoulder and smiling "but Ashley is ecstatic that you'll be coming to the wedding, I've planned a dinner for the two of you just to talk and get to know eachother before we tell her mother."
Laila smiled in excitement, snuggling up against him in readiness to hear him sing for her. She closed her eyes and let the thrum of his voice, and the vibrations it sent through her lull her into a relaxed state. She didn't even remember falling asleep. Pablo blushed softly. "I hope you're right." He started up the car and then drove her back. "I have two siblings. Both younger. A sister and a brother." he said, smiling softly. "What about you? What's your family like?" He asked as he turned onto her street.
Ashley chewed her lip in thought. "You know I like the idea, Mira. I'd probably just throw up, or faint, or both. I don't do well with needles." She said honestly, sighing. "But I don't' know. I'll definitely send you tons of pictures and a whole video. And hey, I might work up the courage to come get a tat." She said, smiling a little then.
He nodded, slipping the picture back into it's folder. "Alright. Thank you, again. For all you've done." he said gratefully as they flew over Big Ben. "So where is this place I'll be staying?
Chris quickly picked her up and tucked her into bed as he got dressed and curled up next to her and caressed her waist as he fell asleep. He was tipsy from the wine and the heat was nice and calmed him. Which was amazing since he never slept well.Mai smiled "I have a very protective older brother he lives in Romania, with his wife and four kids. I haven't seen him in a long time and my father is somewhere at war in Africa...but Jace is my family right now. Do you still have your parents?"
Mira smiled "it'll totally be free too honey and we could sip virgin sangrias!" She said excited and smiled seeing Antony "my guy is really hot you know that?"
Malibu showed him the fancy penthouse and shrugged "it's not too grand but Ashley said you like to be more down to earth and this would be best. Ashley has a tea waiting for us."
Laila woke early the next morning, smiling when she realized that Chris must have carried her in and tucked her in bed. Slipping out from under the covers, she made eggs and toast for them both, eating her portion, and leaving a sticky that said 'good morning :)' on the mug by his. Then she had a quick shower and took the car into town to find a last minute wedding dress for herself. Pablo chuckled. "Well that sounds nice. I'd like to meet them sometime. Four kids. Man, that guy is brave." He shook his head. "As for my parents, well… both are retired. They like to spend their savings on travelling the world." he chuckled. "I warn them that the excitement isn't good for older couples, but they never listen." He pulled up in the driveway and parked the jeep. "So you and Jace got pretty close, hey?"
Ashley laughed easily, but it was still slightly nervous. "Yeah, if I work up the guts to do it. Don't hold me to anything, ok?" she said, shaking her head. Then she made a fake gagging sound. "Spare me the sap."
Antony heard and he chuckled, giving Mira a loud kiss on the cheek he was sure Ashley would hear. He was rewarded with a groan. "Listen guys, I'd just love to stay and listen to you two gush, but my Dad's going to be here soon, so I gotta go, ok?"
His eyes widened as he surveyed the new place. It certainly was nicer than anything he'd ever had before. A single fork was probably worth his entire previous house. "If this is keeping it modest… then I'm definitely visiting you guys at your new place." he said, actually smiling then. "She's knows we're coming then?"
Chris woke up and sighed seeing her gone, he smiled seeing the mug and folded it up putting it in the box he kept all of the mementos from their relationship. The oragami crane that asked her out and little things that he just collected that represented their love.Mai smiled and nodded "dos he tell you what happened? His sister set us up and he didn't want anything to do with me and was very...brusque but he saved my life when I got attacked and well we made the deal and have best friends ever since. But he just doesn't care for girls I feel bad his wife would be a lucky woman."
Mira giggled and smiled "love you Ash, call me later ok? Good luck with your dad and say hi to Mali for me mmmkay? Bye!" She hung up and hugged Antony tightly "you are pretty sexy you know...I want to push you to that chair and have tattoo sex."
Malibu nodded and smiled calling on the watch "hey pretty girl...we are flying onto the roof and going into the house, you ready?" He asked and smiled directing the plane and going into the front foyer.
Laila arrived at a wedding shop, and looked around in it for a few moments. There were so many extravagant gowns she could choose from. But she chose a simple lacy one, one that didn't have too many frills so it would keep her cool in the hot weather. It was an off the shoulder dress with a low cut back, and once she was satisfied with her purchase, she left the store with the garment bag and went to look for flowers. Pablo shook his head, listing to her story, and by the end of it, he was chuckling softly. "Yup, that sounds like the Jace I know." he got out of the jeep and opened the door for her. "I hope for his sake he finds a brave girl for himself. He'd get so lonely without a love." he said, walking her up to the door. He kissed he regain softly and smiled. "Goodnight then, I suppose. Thank you for the lovely afternoon, and I'll see you on the weekend."
Antony chuckled, wrapping his arms around her. "I know." he flashed her a grin. Then his smile turned playful. "Oh do you now? And what exactly is tattoo sex?" he inquired, raising an eyebrow at her.
Ashley rolled her eyes and smiled, hanging up. Then she got the com from Mali and she smiled, walking into the entry and waiting nervously. "Yeah, I'm ready. See you in a sec." she returned, biting her lip. When Mali returned, she grinned and hugged him quickly. "Welcome back." she said, pulling away from him again. She turned to her father and smiled shyly. "Hi…" She whispered, not sure what to do.
Chris already had a suit and everything was prepared that way, so him and Parker played until the doorbell rang. He grinned seeing Luke and Kenna "come in! Come on! It's certainly early but you are always welcome."Kenna laughed "we needed a shower and a place to change, is Laila here?"
Mai smiled and kissed him goodnight lovingly stroking back his hair and holding him close before letting go "call or text me alright?" She insisted and smiled really not wanting the night to end but she was sweaty and stiff wanted a long hot bubble bath.
Mira laughed "Mmm I tattoo you and then we have sex, doesn't that sound excellent?"
Salvadore blinked seeing his baby girl look so grown up and beautiful he gebtly hugged her and sighed feeling a connection that was lost "hi my beautiful girl..." He whispered strokibg her hair.
Luke had walked up to the door with Kenna, and he smiled when Chris answered it. "You're looking smart. And older. Its' been quite a while…" He said, entering. "Nice place though!" he squeezed Kenna's hand. "And yeah, we do need a place for a shower and change. You guys have running water and a bathroom somewhere?"Pablo savoured the moment as it lasted, and then when she pulled away, he smiled softly and nodded. "I will I promise." He said, waving, as he got in his jeep again. Jace had seen the kiss, and some part of him ached for it as he opened the door. "I assume it went well?"
Antony shivered and shook his head slowly. He was smiling. "Alright. What do you want to tattoo me with?" He asked, curious as to her ideas.
Ashley had not expected him to just hug her like that, and she felt her walls come crashing down. She was in the arms of her father again. Tucking her face against him, Ashley tried to control herself so she wouldn't start crying right then and there. "Papa…"
Chris nodded "in the guest quarters there's two showers and rooms for you to change into, if you need clothing I have a suit and ties you can wear...and Laila still has some maternity clothes." He was surprised to see Kenna so large. Laila came in and he grinned "darling look who is here!"Mai smiled as he opened the door "thank you I forgot my key and yes it did. We are seeing eachother this weekend after flying with you." She hugged him "thank you for finding him for me, you know I'd do this for you in a heart beat." She assured and pecked his cheek "im a sweaty mess."
Mira sat on the leather chair with her notebook wanting ideas "well what do you want? Nothing as large as the pheonix don't want to be torturing you...maybe we can get matching ones to represent our love or the baby...up to you!"
Salvadore held her close and kissed her temple "I'm here baby girl...im sorry...im so sorry I had to protect you though..." He whispered needing to explain himself to her. She was so small last time he saw her, so innocent.
Luke nodded his thanks. "Wonderful." He said, immediately following the directions to the showers so he could clean up." Laila's eyes widened when she came in and she gasped. "Kenna!" She said, hugging her quickly. "Ohmygosh you're pregnant!"
Jace nodded, walking inside with her and shutting the door, hugging her back lightly. "No problem." He said, shrugging. That had been hard to do. "Go ahead and take a shower, it's free and there's still hot water." he promised.
Antony thought for a moment. "matching tats would be awesome. We could get something small on our wrists or something?" he suggested. "Like the gender symbols. Or that quote. The 'her one. His only.' quote." he suggested.
Ashley hugged him tight, feeling like everything was right in the world now that she was back here with him again. "It's ok. It's alright I understand." She whispered against him. "I missed you…" she whispered a little softer, and then she really was crying.
Kenna smiled hugging her back and laughed lightly "I am, almost 8 months...I was going to tell you but the look on your face was so worth it." She giggled hugging her again as much as she could at least "can't believe you are getting marfied...it's insane! Now where's that God daughter of mine?"Mai smiled and quickly hopped into the shower and into her sweat pants snuggling up on the couch with him "did you have a good day? Pablo and I want to set you up on a double date and I know how you feel about that but really!"
Mira nodded and looked at their wrists "I want it something to do with the baby too though..." She admitted trying to think about what they could do that was nice looking and not ridiculous.
Salvadore held her closet rubbing her back "I missed you more..."
The marriage between Ross and Rachel (Yep I went there :) ) wasn't doing well at all, Ashley's mother found out the 'business trips' we're really an affair with his secretary how cheesy as that was.
Laila shook her head, both shocked and amazed. "Congratulations!" She exclaimed. "I'm so happy for you." She said seriously. Then she grinned and scooped up Parker who had been hiding behind her. "This is Parker." she introduced, smiling. "Say hi baby." She whispered in her ear. Jace snacked while she showered, and then he just rested with her. However, her mention of a double date made him feel sick. He didn't want any other girls, he knew that much. "Oh give it a rest! I'm not going on any double dates, and I'm firm on that." he smiled softly.
Antony nodded, understanding. "We could do dates. Or the location of our home. Or a quote about family." he suggested. "Do you have any ideas?"

Ashley hugged her father for a moment longer before she pulled back, wiping her eyes. "Let's get something to eat. All this emotion has made me hungry." She got a text then, from her mother. 'Honey, please come home… I need some girl time. I just found out that Ross has been cheating on me' Ashley gasped, her face falling. "Oh no…"
Parker buried her face in her mum's hair she was being shy and wasn't around new people ever so it was a bit frightening. Chris smiled "hey bug it's ok, these are mommie's best friends...look Kenna is going to have a new baby...you love pregnant bellies."Mai froened lightly and sighed "Jace, I promise you'll be happier with a girl...someone you can share everything with and be connected. Like me but not me."
Mira smiled noddibg as she grabbed the ultrasound picture and heartbeat recording with the heart linws paper "we could do the heart beat on both of our wrists. Then when we name them we can put the name under.
Malibu saw the text and instantky brightened "no this is good! We can take your dad over and she'll be happy to see him. Her long lost husband!"
Laila smiled lightly at Kenna. "She's shy at the moment." she explained, as Parker peeked out to look at Kenna's stomach. "Hi…" she whispered softly and tucked her face away again. Laila smiled, nodding into the kitchen. "Do you want something to eat? And where's Luke?"
Jace swallowed. Happy? With a girl? The only girl he was happy with was her, and he was just fine with their relationship. He didn't want to add in a stranger and a romance. "Like you." He repeated softly, mulling over that. He stood, walking into the kitchen and running a hand through his hair. "I don't want to go looking for other girls."
Antony brightened at that and he grinned. "That sounds like a marvellous idea." he agreed. "We could make the heartbeat line form a little heart at the end too… to make it cuter." he offered, climbing up into the chair. "Do me first, then I'll do you."
Ashley swallowed, wondering how her mother would take two surprises in one day, but she nodded. "Alright, let's see how this goes." She said, motioning for her father to follow as she walked out to the jet.
Kenna smiled letting parker feel the baby "see?...she's saying hello back to you." She explained to Parker softly and smiled "getting showered and dressed honestly he looked like a mountain man." She giggled rubbing her stomach "do you have a dress I could borrow by chance?"Mai sighed and nodded "alright...im sorry I won't bug you about it again." She promised and pulled the blanket around her "can't wait to get into the air again...I really want to conquer this fear, it's who i am..." She mused but was pretty upset that he wouldn't give dating a chance at all.
Mira nodded and got the black ink and made the simple stencil with the heartbeat and placed it on his inner wrist so that when they held hands they'd touch "good?"
Malibu nodded getting the jet to the mansion and landing in the backyard going to the front door and knocking "I assume you want to tell her first before we come in?"
The next morning Mai got up and fixed breakfast for them as usual, she noticed that he was sleeping in this morning and would let him. He needed rest something was bothering him and she wished she could help. She got dressed waiting for her guy to come pick her up, she threw her hair into a messy bun on top of her head not really caring about making a great first impression. She didn't think any of the guys would really work out.
Malibu smiled and pecked her forehead and nose "And I love you...but it's seriously hard to take you seriously as a nerd when you've got the look and body of a model...just saying." he offered and chuckled nipping her.
Danny knew her tells well, she didn't have it. But lets torture her for a little bit...he nodded "I raise you 20 and you lose your shirt." he put the chips down on the pile and grinned at her with a raised brow.
