Cora nodded and smiled softly "it's like delivering in a jacuzzi, the baby emerges and takes her first breath out of the water. It can be whatever temperature you want and your husband can be in there with you...no stirrups no being exposed to all those doctors it's how I delivered my baby and it couldn't have been better."Mira grinned nodding feeling like he was understanding the concept and took his hand helping him with the art and smiling, she quickly got her bra back on "nearly just flashed you..." She was a little shocked that he didn't care, she knew she was atteactive...wait why did she care?'
Laila smiled softly then, feeling a little more relaxed for the first time in a while. That sounded so much nicer than how she had first given birth. She hid the twinge of pain she felt, when she thought of the possibility that Chris might not have woken up by the time she was delivering. "I'd like to do that then, it sounds a lot less stressful." She said, smiling at Cora. "Thank you, for meeting with me. I've been rather nervous about this whole thing."Antony held back a groan. He had been trying to act like he didn't notice, so that maybe she would forget, and he could just watch her when she wasn't looking. He wasn't a pervert, but she was a beautiful woman. "that wouldn't have been that big of a deal, hon." he said, winking at her as he returned to his drawing, finally getting something he thought could look like the final design.
Cora smiled "every girl is love...if men had to do that they'd be far worse off...I kind of want to know more about you and do an exam and ultrasound to get to know your baby if that's ok?" She asked squeezing her hand "I don't have an exam table I think they are awful, feel like a turkey strung up for thanksgiving."Mira smiled lightly and shoved him "seriously I even wonder if you see me as a woman Tony...just one of the guys right?" She put her shirt back on and checked on his sketch and nodded "I'd want that on me Tony, that looks good ready to practice?"
Laila nodded, smiling then. "Yes, I completely agree." She said, shaking her head. She nodded then, deciding that was alright. This woman thought the same about exam tables as she did. "Yes, I think that would be alright." She agreed, smiling softly. "Exam tables are horrible. But if you don't use one, then what do you use?" She asked, curious. Antony chuckled and shook his head. "You are most definitely not a guy, Mira, but I admire that you can hang out with guys without ogling them all the time." he said honestly, shrugging. Then he grinned, proud. "Thank you. Yes, I think I'm ready to practice."
Cora pulled out a special pillow and a yoga mat "just lay down on the mat and this pillow will lift you up as an exam table would and I can get the same access with you being far more comfortable."Mira shook her head "I'm not one to ogle anything, plus I'm still getting over Derrick...I only ever dated him...I feel like I'm cheating if I even think a guy is attractive." she said honestly and sighed getting out the pig skin "Let's first practice writing your name with the machine."
Laila let out a sigh, relaxing then. "Wonderful." She said, glad that this woman had such a wonderful invention for exams. "Well this looks much nicer than an exam table." She said, warming up more and more. She got undressed, figuring she would have to at some point anyways, and lay down where she directed it.Antony nodded in understanding. He could see how that would be problematic. If he had been dating that seriously, he probably wouldn't have gotten over it easy either. He watched as she pulled out the skin, and he picked up the needle tentatively. "So do you just push it in?"
Cora smiled and pulled out her tools that were being heated by a heating pad to keep them warm, she gently slid them in finding where the baby was and smiling to keep Laila comfortable and reassured "I think she'll be early...she's pretty big for being the sixth month...strong too she keeps kicking me." she smiled never getting tired of that feeling.Mira smiled "Come on you did a surgical internship Tony how bad can this be?" she directed his hand helping him push in and keep it moving as it vibrated in his hand.
Laila breathed a couple times as she saw Cora pull out the tools, trying to relax, but she was pleasantly surprised to find the tools warm, and not uncomfortable at all. She relaxed immediately. But she was nervous when she said that she would be coming early, as she knew it would increase the risk of Chris not being able to be there. But she smiled. "Yes, she's quite active." She agreed, rubbing her hand over her stomach, wishing she had Chris there to help calm Parker.Antony smiled sheepishly and shrugged. "Not that bad I suppose." he said, relying on her direction for the first couple movements, and then slowly getting the hang of it. It really wasn't that scary as he kept moving, making a steady sweep with the needle that turned into a fine dark curve.
Cora removed them and got her ultrasound machine working as she spread the jelly, not cold over her belly and moved the wand seeing the baby "And there she is...hello little one." she smiled and examined everything "I'm sure you know about her right arm..." she explained softly in case Laila didn't know or was upset about it.Mira smiled and nodded "Good...that's a recognizable A" she said pleased and helped him start on the rest of the letters, he was still pretty shaky but it was a vibrating brick and not the easiest to manuever "I taught tattooing on the streets..." she mused remembering that clearly.
Laila watched the screen as Cora spread jelly over her stomach, and then the image of the baby popped up. She was considerably larger than she had been in the last picture, and Laila could actually make out her shape better. "Oh… baby." She whispered fondly, watching her. She nodded. "Yes, we found out about the arm at the last visit." She assured. "We'll love her regardless."Antony flushed with pride, starting on a lowercase n. It was a little slanted, but the lines were less wobbly than the A had been. "That's right…" He mused, shaking his head. "Such humble beginnings for a tattoo master." he teased, smiling over at her as he finished off the "t"
Cora smiled watching her and nodded "She's perfect otherwise, healthy and strong...developing really well she'll be a happy girl." she said cleaning off the jelly and helping her sit up "So you want to do it at your home, can you tell me a little about the atmosphere and what you were hoping?"Mira smiled and shook her head "I'm no Ink Master yet...just takes practice and I learned how to tattoo with a machine in jail believe it or not...the Japanese use a different method that I prefer but it's illegal in the states."
Laila nodded, happy that Cora said she was healthy and perfect. Laila nodded. "I was hoping to do it at home…" she admitted. "But my husband is in the hospital, I don't know if I can leave him alone." She said honestly, biting her lip. "Either way, I don't want bright lights or white walls. Just… something normal, familiar I suppose."Antony chuckled, holding up his arm. "This looks pretty master to me." he said, grinning at her. Then he raised an eyebrow. "A different method? Illegal? What sort of method is this?" He asked, finishing his name and looking it over. It looked pretty good, and he was happy with it.
Cora frowned worried when she mentioned her husband "Let's hope he is out of the hospital by then...I saw you have a cerclage I will need to remove that when you are beginning labor or sooner so that your body can readjust."Mira flushed with pride and smiled looking over his name and nodded "Just need to work on those shaky lines but other then that it looks good Tony." she raised a brow "If I told you I'd have to kill you and I'd rather not."
Laila nodded, sighing softly. "I hope so." She said. Then she nodded, thinking that over, "Should I come back to you late in the eighth month to get it removed? I don't want to be worrying about too much once I'm in labor." She said seriously. Antony nodded slowly. "Yeah, I'll work on it a bit more." He agreed, taking one of the print out feathers, and starting to trace around it. Then he laughed. "Seriously?" he asked. "You're joking right? It can't be something that crazy…"
Cora nodded "I think that would be fine, as long as you don't put your body through much stress and rest as much as possible, I think it would be safe for you and the baby. I have to warn you though that does speed up the process of the labor, I will have to break your water during that procedure so there isn't any delay."Malibu groaned as he struggled to walk down the hall with the doctor's and Ashley's help. He focused though knowing this was the only way to get well again, he hated feeling like an invalid and mostly he hated the looks he got and flinches whenever they saw his face. He was a personal guy always had been now only his close friends came to visit.
Jason and Julie were on the plane flying to Italy, she smiled over at her husband and squeezed his hand "Don't be nervous love...he will be so excited to see and finally meet you..." she pecked his cheek and lay on his shoulder watching the clouds fly by.
Mira shook her head "I'm not joking Antony, it's a secret sacred process and it's nothing to be meddling with...the lotus dragon on my left arm was done that way and it was the most agonizing pain i've ever been through."
Laila nodded in understanding. "Alright. I'll come to you then, and expect the labor to start soon after." she agreed, chewing on her lip as she thought about the whole process. "Well… thanks for meeting with me. If you don't mind, I should probably go check on my husband now." She said honestly, putting her clothes back on and holding out her hand to shake. Ashley had her arm hooked beneath Malibu's and was helping to support him down the hallway. She watched as he grew stronger every day, and she was so very proud of him. She never hesitated to remind him of that. "You're doing so much better, baby. Willy misses you, you know." She smiled at him softly. "I should ask if I can bring him in some time." She mused.
Jason glanced over at her, his smile tentative. "Might break my pacemaker just cause my heart is pounding so hard." he joked, shaking his head. "He's my son, Jewel, this is no light thing." he said softly, glancing out the window as he took another sip of his water. Oh how he longed for coffee!
Antony shook his head, glancing at the dragon on her arm. "Doesn't look like anything fancier than you could do…" he said skeptically. But he shrugged. "However, I value having my head on my shoulders, so I won't ask any more about it." he promised, smiling a little.
Cora smiled and shook her hand "call if you need anything honey ok? Any questions or just want to talk, these next months are going to fly by sweety and then you'll be a momma!" Malibu chuckled "you could sneak him in pretty easily..." He reminded and sighed stopping to rest, he was out of breath and that drove him insane he used to be so active now a walk down the hall tired him out. He sighed shaking his head "I can go further then this..."
Julie nodded "trust me my heart was pounding intensely when I came into the house and revealed myself to you...I was scared you wouldn't want me or renember our love...I was scared to death."
Mira smiled "you just happen to be my biggest fan as well, so your kind of biased...how's that feather looking?" She leaned in to watch him tattoo.
Laila nodded, glad that she had someone she could talk to. "Thank you, Cora. I'll call if I ever need something." She promised. Laila went back to Chris's side, and sat by him as he slept for the rest of the day. Then she went home and tried to catch some sleep, before coming back the next day to repeat the process. Each night she tried to take a picture for Chris, so he wouldn't feel that he had missed too much. Every day Parker kicked more, growing until Laila looked like she was practically bursting at the seams. It was nearing the end of eight months, and she wasn't sleeping anymore because of the heartburn. Finally, she called up Cora again. "I'm ready to remove the stitches."Ashley nodded at that, smiling softly. "Maybe I will one of these days, he's dying to see you you know." She said, still walking with him. She knew Mali didn't like feeling like an invalid, but she also knew that he was growing tired. "I know you can go much further than this, baby, but I can't. I've grown tired again." She said, making puppy eyes at him. "Walk me back to the room?"
Jason had not thought of that. If she had not had the courage to see him…. "Alright. You've talked me into it." he said, smiling softly. He kissed her cheek gently, closing his eyes as he rested his head back. "I'm so glad you came to me baby."
Antony smiled softly then, shrugging. "Yeah, I guess. Guilty." He said, smiling as he finished off the feather he had traced. His lines were steady now, and he was growing more confident. "It looks like a feather." he said, slightly surprised. "What do you think? Worthy of the approval of the great master inker?"
At the same time that she was calling Cora, Chris's doctor called her he was frustrated as he got a voicemail "Laila its Dr Banks, Cheis's brainwaves are above average and I think we are going to wake him up today."Cora was with another patient and didn't snswer her phone.
Malibu chuckled "right...the marathon runner can't walk down the hall...thanks for trying to make me feel manly again..." He had her help turning him back to his room. He sighed tiredly "I'm stronger...I have to be..."
Mira smiled and nodded "that's a nice feather Antony, want to work on trying to fill and shade in color or are you done for the day?" She asked munching on her noodles and smiling.
Laila sighed when she had no answer from Cora, as if on cue, Parker kicked and Laila winced. She really had been hoping to give birth today, she just wasn't sleeping and her stomach was so large, she wasn't sure how much longer she could take it. She checked the messages and found Dr. Bank's message and her eyes lit up. He was going to wake up! He was going to be there for the baby! Smiling, she hired a taxi to the hospital, as she was too large to fit behind the steering wheel, and quickly got a ride to the hospital. She rushed into Chris's room just as fast as she could waddle, looking to the doctor expectantly. "Is he going to wake up?" She asked, almost nervous to go in. Ashley smiled softly, kissing his cheek. "It was worth a shot." She said, helping him to walk back to the room and sit back onto his bed. "You are stronger, Mali, there's no doubt about it. At first you couldn't even lift a fork, and now you are walking full hallways, that's a huge improvement." She said seriously. "And you will only grow stronger, the doctor said that, remember?"
Antony beamed, proud that she approved and he smiled, getting some colours to start filling it in. "Let me finish this feather, and then we can break for the day." He said determinedly, he was always one to finish what he had started.
Chris was already awake and eating, it was an immense difference his skin was bright his eyes were settled and the deep brown eyes that had gotten dark from the lack of sleep. His eyes widened as he saw her "Lai...look at you." He was shocked he knew he had been asleep but his baby was about to pop "get her a chair..."Malibu sighed and nodded "I just want to be better now, I'm tired of people staring im tired of my sister's weepy face and I'm tired of not feeling like a man...I was strong I was handsome and now I'm just some weak guy in a hospital gown with a face only his fisnce could love."
Mira nodded "no keep going you are doing amazing work...nuh uh, not those colors...they are way to dark together there is no contrast.." She helped him pick better colors and highlighting it right "that's how it pops."
When Laila saw Chris up and eating and looking so much better, she nearly cried from relief. She had spent many nights wondering about him, hoping he would get better, and here he was, looking healthy and well again. She rushed to him, nearly tripping in the process, and clasped his hand, as she couldn't very well hug him over her stomach. "Oh gosh, I'm not that fat am I?" She joked, her eyes tearing up. She sat where the doctor directed as he brought up a chair, and she tucked his hand against her cheek. Ashley nodded in understanding, running her fingers over his hair to tuck it out of his face gently. "You are a man, an incredibly strong man that was able to survive the torture of that camp." She said softly, twirling a strand of his dark brown bangs around her fingers. "And you are no where near that ugly. You're still handsome, Malibu, and now you have a rough sort of appeal." She whispered, smiling.
Antony stopped, surprised when she said not to use the colours he was using. He put the needle down and watched as she picked up new ones, light ones and dark ones to contrast each other. He nodded, seeing it. "Thank you!" He said, trying out the new colours, and how they splashed onto the feather.
Chris kissed her and rubbed her belly "she is almost ready to come...we have to get you home so you can have our baby just the way you wanted to." He sat up and moaned "is Krissy ok?...oh my gosh I can't believe I was sleeping for so long...are you ok?" He sighed looking up at the doctor "I've got to be released im fine!"Malibu leaned into her hand and sighed deeply "just feel like I'm never going to be who my sister wants her brother to be anymore...I want to be that fun loving kid and I'm not..." He sighed and sipped his water "I just want to go back...I need to go back..."
Mira nodded and smiled "much better...that looks really good Antony. I'd allow that to be on me forever...come on you must be exhausted your hand cramping...let's go do something else."
Laila nodded in agreement. "I was just calling the midwife when I got the message that you were awake. I'm having a water birth, you can be in there with me, if you want." she offered, realizing how much he had missed while he was sleeping. "I'm alright. Krissy's had Daniel over nearly everyday, so she hasn't been lonely. I've been here as many days as I could come." She said honestly, not telling him how tough it was not to have his help. "The doctor said you were ready to come home." She promised. Ashley chewed her lip, knowing this was rough for him. She didn't know how to help him with it though. Only he and Laila could work out these issues together. "It sounds like you need to talk about this with your sister." She said gently, hugging him. "What doesn't kill you makes you stronger, Mali."
Antony smiled, putting down the needle and turning off the machine. He stretched his fingers and nodded. "My hand's all tingly." he admitted, surveying his work and standing. "I'm due for a break. What would you like to do?" he asked, putting his work away and switching off the light on the light desk.
Chris got dressed back in his pants and shirt as he pecked her cheek "feels good to stand and stretch...let's go see the midwife, do you like her? What's a water birth?" He asked confused and rubbed her back "you ready?"Malibu nodded and hugged his girl "I know..." He sighed kissing her hair "I love you...I just want to marry you and leave this room...I want to run and be an agent again." He rubbed his arms "chill in here..."
Mira smiled and pulled him to the living room "want a drink? I need a drink..." She put together a drink for herself and looked back wondering what he wanted.
Laila waited patiently on the chair, rubbing her stomach slowly as she watched him dress. When he stood and started walking, she heaved herself to her feet and lead him down towards Cora's office. "I love her, she's quite sweet. A water birth is exactly as the title says. I'll be in water when I give birth. I assume our bathtub, it's large enough to have the water nice and deep, and you could fit in it too if you wanted to join." She explained, knocking on Cora's door. "I'm more than ready for Parker to come. I haven't slept the last week because of heartburn, even sitting up and with all the different antacids. And I feel like I'm going to explode." She said honestly. Ashley nodded in understanding, wishing they could just leave then and there. But that wasn't an option. He needed to finish his physical therapy first. "I know, Mali, I wish you could come home too. Soon, ok? Right when you are released, we'll get married." She promised, wrapping the blanket around him to keep him warm.
Antony got up, stretching and watched as she went to grab a drink. He plopped onto the couch and then nodded, deciding that was a good idea. "Yeah, sure. Have any beer?" he asked hopefully. He figured it had been long enough since getting his tat that he could have a drink again.
Cora smiled and laughed lightly "I got your call just now, and I knew you'd be here soon enough...this time love we have to do the exam chair, I need to get in there and remove the stitches, I don't think you'll have time to get homr but I have a birthing suite ready for you and it looks like s nice hotel room nothing hospitsl about it."Malibu snuggled up to her and sighed "I love you Ash...when I get out of here we'll have a large white wedding in England won't that be beautiful..." He blinked remembering the note "there was a note for you...in the mailbox...in my bag...from Russia."
Mira shook her head "you and I need something stronger then a beer Tony..." She made a couple strong shots "to Derrick and the mysterious ring on the window sill..." She clinked her glass with his.
Laila nodded, not liking the idea of the chair, or removing the stitches at all, but she knew it was something she had to get over with so she just nodded. "Yeah that's alright, and a suite sounds just fine too." She said, already undressing carefully without toppling over. It was work to climb up onto the exam table, but she managed it, and lay back, waiting, one hand squeezed around Chris's. Ashley smiled softly then, climbing onto the bed and laying beside him. "That sound absolutely lovely." She agreed, pecking his nose. But her face paled when he spoke of a letter. "From Russia?" she repeated softly, only guessing who it was from.
Antony nodded, not objecting as he took the shot and downed it, leaning back against the couch. "Thanks, hon." He said, closing his eyes. "Man… never new creativity could be so much work!" He chuckled, shaking his head. The ring in his pocket felt like it weighed a million pounds now that she had mentioned it.
Cheis kissed her hand and smiled "after this...Parker will be coming...think about that honey..." Cora smiled and gloved up as she cut and tugged out the stitches "ok Laila im going to break your water now...it won't hurt but it might feel strange ok? You ready?"Malibu sighed handing her the black letter with the red seal "seems like your dad wrote back..." He sighed "sorry I forgit about it...I didn't want to give it to you." He admitted and laid back "but you reminded me..."
Mira and him got very drunk during the night, she laughed drinking sitting on his lap as she shook her head "member the night we all met? Derrick said you both wanted to talk to me but you mister chicken pants chickened out bawl bawk bawk!"
Laila nodded, trying to focus just on what he said. She couldn't see what was happening over her swollen stomach, so she just tried to breathe, and held on tightly to Chris. "Ok." She said softly, her heart pounding in fear and anticipation. "Ok, I'm ready." She had not felt the removal of the stitches too badly, but she knew she would feel the labor once it started. Ashley stared at the letter in her hands. Her father had written back! She had never even imagined that he would… this was all too unreal. "I… I don't know what to do with it…" She said, slowly peeling away the seal and pulling out the letter.
Antony laughed easily. "I was a chicken. But he wasn't!" he pointed out, remembering all too well how his friend had managed to snag her first. But his friend wasn't there now, and in the haze of his mind, Antony found himself thinking of one thing. "But I'm not chicken anymore." He whispered, pulling her against him as he kissed her passionately.
Cora smiled and burst the water as it ran between her legs and helped her back up, she led her to the suite and got the water in the birthing tub started and warned up "you can rest in the bed or walk around, just take the time to experiance it and remember this is your baby coming." Chris smiled and wrapped his arms around her "and I'm here now..."The letter was written in right calligraphy and was poetic and fluid all in Russian
'My dear Ashlynn, I must tell you I was surprised to receive your letter as it was your weren't able to write last I saw you. I find it admirable that you work for the good side, I wouldn't want you to end up in a cage...I do not regret killing that man, he attacked you and your mother...the scar under your elbow was not from me but from that man. I protect you, I kill him...please understand my little bird. I love you

Mira gasped as he kissed her but melted into the kiss as she laced her fingers in his spiked black hair "I hoped it would be you that came over..." She muttered over his lips and kissed down his neck.
Laila knew when her water had broke, as she felt the warm liquid run between her legs and she slowly sat up again, forcing herself to focus on Parker and not the hours of labour ahead. She nodded as she stood, watching Cora start to fill up the tub. Knowing that she would by lying down soon enough, Laila started to pace the floor before she was caught up in Chris's arms. She smiled lightly and leaned back into him. "I'll be happy when I can hug you properly again." She said honestly. When Ashley finished reading she had tears in her eyes and she swallowed, setting the letter down. She didn't know that. She had been too young to remember much. But she had been told the stories, and she believed them, wondering how the man with the smiling face from her dreams could match up with those tales. A tear broke free and ran down her cheek before she could stop it.
Antony melted when he heard what she said, and that little bit in him that had always hoped, took flight. He tugged her against him, groaning when she kissed down his neck. "I always envied Derrick." He whispered, his hands sliding up her back.
Chris had her sit on the birthing ball as he massaged her back and shoulders, he kissed her neck and smiled "I can't wait to see our little Parker...oh I need to call Krissy she wanted to be here." He picked up his phone "hey...Krissy your going to be aunt soon."Malibu held her as she cried he brushed back her hair "he loves you Ash...doesn't that make you feel better? I still think we should visit him, especially now that I know you won't be harmed."
Mira moaned kissing his earlobe as she pulled off his shirt and kissed his chest "I hated that bitty Sarah...I called her slutty Sarah..." She whispered and gripped his forearm that wasn't freshly tattooed.
Laila bounced up and down on the ball in an even rhythm, nodding. "I can't wait to see her too." She said honestly, hoping the labor would go smoothly, and that Parker would be healthy. She nodded when he said he needed to call Krissy, understanding that he would want to call his sister. Krissy picked up almost immediately. "Ah, there's the brother who disappeared off the face of the earth for three months. Back from the dead." She shouldered the phone as she moved around, making pasta. "How's Laila doing? How soon till Parker comes?" She asked. She and Laila had spent a lot of time together during the past three months.
Ashley nodded slowly, as that did make her feel better. Her father loved her, no... Loves her. She couldn't have been more happy. She had always though of him as almost dead to her. She clung to Mali and nodded slowly in agreement. "If like to see him." She said softly. "I'd like to see how he's doing."
Antony laughed as he kissed her hard and shook his head. "I needed a distraction from you. You were engaged." He mumbled, fiddling her her shirt as he pulled it off, kissing down her jaw. His hands tangled in her hair as he held her to him.
Chris rolled his eyes "I didn't disappear I stayed in the same spot for three months apparently...how are you doing? I mean are you ok? I didn't mean to make you feel...I mean..." He sighed "I'm sorry I'm such an over protective brother, I love you I just want the best...I was scared that I wasn't helping anyone...but really I wasn't helping myself..."Malibu nodded "I'll make it happen...we'll get him out of jail Ash, your mother probably still loves him...it's how I got the address for you to send the letter..." He felt so glad for his girl now pieces were falling in place.
Mira shook her hand "I pulled you out of the fire Tony...the tattoo of black rose on my calf is just a burn cover up...I was so scared Tony...Derrick knew I loved you, we were going to break up and then he..." She started to cry another symptom of drinking.
Krissy was quiet for a bit on the other end of the line. His apology was pretty genuine, and it hit most of the issues bang on, so she sighed softly. "You just made it a whole lot harder to be mad with you." She said honestly, smiling a little. "More sleep for you from now on, ok?"Laila had felt the tension building up in her, but she kept quiet while Chris was on the phone. However, when the first contraction came, it was such a surprise that she startled and nearly fell off the ball.
Ashley nodded slowly, thankful to him for offering this, and getting things set up for her to send her letter. "Thank you, Mali." She said seriously. Kissing his cheek, "thank you for making this happen. You certainly didn't need to get mixed up in my family, but I'm happy you did." She said, hugging him.
Antony paused for a moment, and then sucked on her neck. "Then I owe you my life." He whispered, pulling ly her urgently against him. When she started crying he ran his hands through her hair, "I'm sorry..." He said, "I'm sorry..." All the while still trying to pull himself closer. He was drunk after all.
Chris quickly stabled her nearly dropping the phone, he sighed "Hey I love you Squish but I've got a wife about to give birth to my daughter...ill all you when you can come visit alright?" He wasn't going to juggle anymore one priority at a time.Malibu smiled and huggec her back "they are going to be my family too afterall and it made you happy and I just want that to always be the case I love you...I'll always be here for you..."
Parker shook her head and kissed him deeply having her sweatpants off as she wrapped around his waist "no it's ok...I'm just glad I can say this to you now...cause we won't remember this in the morning...I love you Tony...I do...I ogle over you."
Krissy nodded, thrilled that her niece was coming into this world soon. "Alright. G'bye soon to be daddy." She said, hanging up so he could go. Laila smiled lightly up at Chris "thanks. That sounded like it went well?" She asked, slowing her bouncing a little. She controlled her breathing again as the tension built up once more. She closed her eyes in anticipation and then winced when another hit. She stood then, pacing the room for a couple minutes before a contraction hit that nearly buckled her knees. "Six minutes apart, and then five, Cora. I guess we're starting fast because of the cerclage?" She panted, trying to breathe.
Ashley nodded, liking the thought of them all being one big family. "You'll like my mother... But even i can't remember much about my father." She admitted. "But I am more than happy about this, thanks to you." She promised, ever grateful to him for how he cared for her. She leaned into him. "See, you still care for me like a man..."
Antony mumbled into her neck, "I love you too." And then some odd hours later he woke in bed, and sat up in confusion. He immediately winced and rubbed his forehead. He was hungover... And in bed with a naked Mira... This didn't look good... Antony surveyed the scene and sighed. "I'm screwed."
Chris caught her from behind balancing her and rocking her slowly to help with the pain as Cora checked and nodded "moving into stage two quickly, ready to get in the water or do you want to still be out till the end." She asked wondering about her comfort level and how to help her. Chris brushed her hair back wetting her brow with a cold cloth.Malibu smiled and rubbed her back kissing her hair "I guess I can..." He got a text and blanched "holy...my sister is having the baby, I'm going to be an uncle soon!" He wished he could see her and be there but then he saw a camera shot of her on the tv "what?..." He looked at Ashley who was grinning "how?"
Mira moaned as she got pushed off him, she slowly opened her eyes and wished she hadn't the light was far too bright for her headache as she shoved her face in the pillow, she felt the sheets...and nothing else using her hand she felt his naked body and her head sprang up "oh my..."
Laila pursed her lips, trying to breathe slowly and relax during the few minutes she knew she had until the next contraction. "I…" She grit her teeth as the wave rocked her, and she would have collapsed if Chris had not been holding her up. It wasn't fair for him to have to hold her up during the hours coming, so she shook her head. "Water, I'll go in the water." she said, walking towards the bath quickly. The pressure was already building as she slid into the warm water and sighed in relief. She sat on her knees, leaning against the edge of the tub, just in time for another contraction, this one longer. Laila grit her teeth, still managing the pain alright. Ashley nodded when he got the text, as she had already known that. She smiled, happy for his sake, and then smiled brighter when he saw the picture. "I am an agent…" She pointed out, kissing his cheek. "This will do for now, until you can go visit her. There's a live video feed too, if you want to watch." She said, "But only if you want to. Delivering can be very stressful."
Antony sat on the edge of the bed, rubbing his temple. This was pretty bad. He just hoped to high heaven that he didn't get her pregnant. But on top of that, it was extremely awkward. They had just been friends… and now… Antony's face scrunched up and he sighed. "I'm sorry, Mira…"
Chris rubbed her shoulders and back as she worked through the contractions "good job love...how is that water feeling?" He smiled as the live feed went on so Ash and Malibu could converse with her.Malibu grinned waving "hey sis! How's it going?" He felt better now that he could be with her and help her through this. She needed all the support they could give.
Mira shook her head biting her lip "it's fine...don't apologize..." She wrapped up in her silk robe and rubbed her head "I remember some of it...you told me you loved me...do you mean it?"
Laila smiled weakly and shrugged. "It's warm, it feels like water." She said simply, trying to be lighthearted. She couldn't believe how less stressful this was, when she had people there to help her, and it was way more casual than her previous delivery. She smiled at Malibu, surprised and happy that someone found a way for him to be here, sort of. She shrugged. "As far as delivering goes, I'm doing great. On a whole? Be glad you're male."Ashley laughed easily then, admiring Laila for being able to put up so well with this. She had seen deliveries before, and most women were screaming by this point. She didn't know that she had delivered before, however.
Antony raked his hands through his hair, leaning his head against them and heaving a long sigh. He had said that, hadn't he? He had only fuzzy recollections of what had gone on. Well. She remembered it, so he figured he was stuck now. "Yeah. I meant it." He said softly.
Chris smiled brushing on her hair with his fingers and kissed her temple "she's been doing great, her contractions are five minute apart now...so it's been a quick labor and we are happy about that."Malibu worried about his sister but was glad to talk to her "We've got our own problems being male but I can't wait to see my niece!" He smiled watching the screen "just think you'll be skinny again!"
Mira leaned on his shoulder and took his hand "I love you too...maybe it's not a mistake, I mean...we wouldn't be able to know otherwise...unless you just want to stay friends?"
Laila nodded at what Chris said, moving a little in the water to change positions. "Yes, thank goodness its been quick." She said seriously, shaking her head. "I'd like to know of these horrible male issues." She joked, shaking her head. "Hah! Oh to be skinny again. If only I could lose this weight!" She grit her teeth, closing her eyes as another contraction hit, but this one was stronger, and got stronger as it lasted, and she dissolved into a moan, swearing after. "That hurt." She grumbled. Ashley smiled, shaking her head. "It shouldn't be too hard to lose weight again, you were skinny before you were pregnant." she encouraged. "The weight won't stick around long." She squeezed Malibu's hand, wondering how he was handling this whole situation, he seemed to be alright with it so far.
Antony nodded slowly, still a little stricken at what had happened. He sure hadn't meant it all to happen that way, when he was drunk. He would have liked to remember doing it with her. "I always wanted to be friends… but never just friends." He said honestly, shrugging. "I'm just sorry it happened that way."
Chris frowned and rubbed her sides and lower back, Cora helped her lay back comfortably and checked "your cervix is at a 7 love just 3 more centimeters and then you'll be ready to push." She said patting her thigh gently.Malibu looked away from the examination he didn't want to see his sister like that, he smiled at Ash squeezing her hand "I think I'll freak out more when it's you Ash..." He said honestly and sighed "hang in there sis, at least it's not twins right?"
Mira took his hand and laced their fingers and nodded "I'd say try again right now...but my headache is getting much worse..." She admitted and pecked his lips "don't be sorry...at least if wasn't just a meaningless one night stand right?"
Laila's breathing increased in anticipation for the next contraction as she moved with Cora to lay back in the water. Three more centimetres. She was mostly there. She was mostly there, and then came the hard part. Wonderful. "Anticipation is the worst." she breathed, closing her eyes as the tension built up again. This contraction was longer than the last, and again, Laila grit her teeth for most of it, and ended up groaning by the end as her body clamped down powerfully. She felt the baby turn inside her and she lay her head back on the edge of the tub, panting. "Yeah… not twins… just a bloody huge baby…" She muttered. Ashley watched what was happening here and there, just to get a sense of what pregnancy might be like once she got to that point. She chuckled softly, however, at what he said, shaking her head. "I'm not sure whether I should be flattered by that, or nervous." She said, kissing his forehead. "Your sister is doing very well, by the looks of it. Hopefully it will go smoothly from here." She encouraged.
Antony nodded in agreement. "Let's get some Advil, and some water, and we can brave this massive hangover together…" He suggested, smiling weakly. "It is better than a one night stand. If you had been mad at me, I'd probably feel sick." He said honestly, forcing himself to stand up and pull his pants on again.
Chris sighed and rubbed her shoulders and tried to help her through it, he wiped a cold cloth on her brow and rubbed her hips "try to open up your body more Laila...just relax ok..."Malibu nodded and sighed "your doing great Laila! I just texted Andrew and he'll call you once she's out...he's still on his honeymoon." He said sighing and caressed his love's cheek "you'd be just as great Ash."
Mira nodded and groaned closing the curtains not wanting any light "how's your tattoo doing?..." She was sore and honestly just wanted a shower "let's get cleaned come on..."
Laila shifted her position a bit, trying to open herself up like he said, and get rid of some of the pressure. It was just constantly building now and she shook her head, frustrated with herself. "I can't!" She complained, choking on air seconds later as another contraction rolled over her. She only had a minute after that to try and catch her breath before another one came. She cried out in frustration. "That's not enough time to breathe!" She gasped. Ashley hugged Malibu, tense now that Laila was starting to break down. "I love that you guys all support each other." She said softly, meaning Andrew, Laila, and Malibu. Ashley was an only child, and she had always wondered what it might be like to have siblings. "I have a high pain threshold, but Mali, so does she, and that doesn't look like much fun." She pointed out, sighing. "But I'd do it anyways. For us, for our family."
Antony looked down at his tattoo, touching it gingerly. "The bandages must have rubbed last night… it's pretty sore." He said honestly, sighing. It burned, in all honesty. He followed her though, into the bathroom, and turned on the water in the sink, running it over the tattoo to help cool his skin off a bit.
Cora smiled "well that means it's time to push Laila...you ready?" She helped her hold onto her knees as she pushed "hold for ten and then push sweetie you know the drill..." Chris grinned and pecked her cheek "you are doing great!"Malibu worried about his sister as he turned away from it and held onto Ashley "you are one of us now you know...and its up to you, do you want kids?"
Mira grabbed a cooling cream and rubbed it carefully on his arm "there you go...that should help..." She undressed getting in the shower and pulling him in as she washed her hair "can you grab some soap?"
Antony watched, enthralled, as she started to move around feathers, and show him the shapes. He nodded the whole time, grabbing out his own pen to try and mimic some of the designs she was doing. Eventually his ovals started looking more like the eyes of the feathers, and less like peanuts, and he smiled, triumphant. "It actually looks like something!" he said, trying again, each time growing more confident.
