Chris nodded and kissed down her neck and down her arm and fingers "Mmm I love the smell of your skin angel...it was incredible, it's nice to be seen as the good guy and not the druggie, alcoholic and playboy they just saw what you see...it's amazing."Malibu smiled "I'll text her ok? And ask...can I call you my date or what should I say, friend?..." He didn't know what to say, he had a foot in his mouth and it kept getting bigger "Ash...can you tazor me please?"
Laila couldn't help but giggle as he kissed a trail down to her fingers. It was tickly, especially on her hand and neck. "I'm glad this job makes you happy." She said honestly. "I only ever want you to feel confident in who you are. You aren't a druggie, alcoholic, or a playboy anymore." She pointed out, kissing him. Lying here in the tub with him kissing her was making her antsy. "You've worked hard today, Chris, join me?" She asked, looking up at him with puppy eyes. "We don't have to do anything… if you don't want to. But I mean. The water is hot still, so why not make use of it?" She smiled softly. Ashley nodded, happy that she would get to meet his sister, and get together with him again at the same time. She laughed softly when he stumbled over his words. "Ok." She breathed, and kissed him passionately, knowing that that put most men in a daze just as much as any taser did. "You can say date. Or girlfriend. Whichever you prefer." She said, winking at him as the water was brought over.
Chris smiled lightly "I can't get in water because of my stitches member?" He kissed her deeply "but I can still pleasure you honey...I know that hormones make some women a little..." He chuckled "I think it's cute and your phone is ringing."Malibu groaned and blinked slightly unconscious from that kiss, he chuckled lightly and blinked again "g-girlfriend...yeah I'm ok with that..." He shook his head "that kiss is dangerous...." He called his sister hoping he'd be able to talk properly.
Laila stuck out her bottom lip, "I forgot about the stitches." She whispered. She smiled again then, blushing. "I'm sorry." she said, embarrassed. At least he thought it was cute. She grabbed her phone from her jeans pocket and answered the call. "Who is this?" She asked, shooting an apologetic look in Chris's direction for interrupting them. Ashley laughed softly, well aware of her effect on people. She found it cute that he was so dazed by her kiss. "I suppose I am a black widow." She teased, shaking her head. She leaned back again, so she wasn't breathing over his shoulder as he called his sister. She just waited politely, not wanting to be in the way.
Malibu smiled "well it's your twin brother, have you come out of the closet...wait that came out wrong." He chuckled "I want to have dinner tonight, your house this time I want to try your cooking this time!" He teased and smiled at Ashley "I also have a girl I want you to meet...she wants to meet you and um can she come? She's tiny she wont eat a lot..." He groaned again with the talking too much.
Laila smiled when she heard Malibu on the other line and she laughed when he started to fumble over words. "Yeah. Actually I'm in a bath right now." She said, shaking her head, the smile not leaving her features. It lit up when he mentioned a girl. "Oh Mali! I'd love to meet her!" she said enthusiastically. "She can most definitely come." She promised. "One sec. Let me make sure it's ok for you guys to come over." she said, covering the receiver with one hand. "Chris, Mali wants to bring his girlfriend over for supper tonight. Is that ok?" She asked, before moving back to the phone. She now knew why her twin was stumbling over his words so much. "She kissed you, didn't she?" she asked, smiling softly.
Chris chuckled and nodded allowing it. Mali chuckled "y-yeah she stun gunned me with her amazing skills...she's an agent too, and she likes me because I'm sensitive can you believe it." He smiled at Ashley "I'm going to put you on hold to deeply kiss my girlfriend ok?" He hung up the phone and kissed Ashley cupping her face "are you sure this is real?"
Laila smiled but she made a pretend gagging noise. "Ok that's enough! I've heard enough." She teased, pretending to be mortified, when really she was pleased that Malibu found someone to love. She just hoped this obviously skilled woman wouldn't break her brothers heart. "Goodbye. Enjoy you'r kissing." She joked as he hung up. She shook her head, lying back in the water again. "Mali's got a girlfriend." She breathed.Ashley smiled, kissing him back with the same passion that he kissed her. She smiled, nudging her nose against his. "Of course it's real." She whispered. "It's real and true and actually happening, and I am so glad it is." She breathed as the waiter came over with their food.
Chris shook his head "he's going to need a new backstory written for him...he's definitely not gay." He chuckled "do you want to see what his new girlfriend looks like? She's...well I'm happiky with you but I had to turn away because...wow."Malibu chuckled and kissed her softly before eating his food and smiling over at her "me too...thanks for finally coming to talk to me...though honestly I thought it was another day dream."
Laila smiled softly and nodded. "He's a good writer. I'm sure he'll come up with something." She raised an eyebrow then. "That much of a looker, huh? It's alright I'll see her tonight." She said. She smirked then and pat his arm. "It's alright, Chris, I know I'm not that attractive." She said, her smile soft. "Should I be jealous?" Ashley took a bite of her sandwich and smiled at him. He was just abou the most adorable thing she had ever seen. And she was in love. "You're welcome." She said, smiling. "It was my pleasure. It's been wonderful spending time with you Mali."
Chris's eyes went wide as he shook his head rapidly "don't get me started on how gorgeous you are Laila, member the many months you turned me down because I thought you were the sexiest creature I had ever laid my eyes on...and with the flow from our child you are a goddess..." He promised and kissed her "don't ever think I look at other women...alright?"Mali smiled eating his sandwich, they ordered the same sandwich without a hesitation "it's crazy...we've only been talking today but since your an agent I know everything about you...and you me...it's like we know eachother already no awkward first date."
Delaney knocked on Brandon's office door "excuse me agent 103?...I um have a question about some of the paperwork you sent over...do you have a minute?"
Laila blushed fiercely when he went on about how gorgeous she was, and she smiled shyly. "Well you certainly know how to butter me up." She said, pulling him down for a quick kiss. "How do you always know what the right thing to say is?" She asked, raising an eyebrow. He always knew how to make her feel better. Ashley nodded in agreement. Being an agent did that for you, you worked together, and researched together, and saw each others files and data and could never meet. "It is strange." She admitted. "But in some ways I'm glad, like you said. No awkward first date." She shrugged. "I get and don't get their dating rule. Life is short. And what is life without love?"
Brandon looked up as Delaney came in and he flashed her a smile. "I've got all day, love. What is it?" He asked, sitting down backwards on a chair, his arms rested over the top of it. He gave her a once over, smiling his approval.
Cheis smiled and kissed her again "I just do...trust me all my other horrific say the wrong things with a foot in my mouth moments are just as frequent as the Lucy times I say the right thing to help you." He sighed at her bare hand "will you please put the ring back on?...it's from me ok? All honesty."Malibu nodded "I agree, I don't think its fair that Brand can screw each agent and not get in trouble but if we were found out we'd be in loads of trouble..." He paused thinking "you've never been with him right?" How could he ever compare to womanizer Brandon?!
Delaney cleared get throat trying to stay professional, he made it hard thogh...and she was well mousy and quiet and sweet like a lamb. "Just these regulations...I think they may be wrong, the dates don't match up...I didn't want you to get into trouble because of it is all..."
Laila smiled softly then. He was being honest now, and she valued that. "Well, I know you are macho, my gosh you're an agent. But that means I'm allowed to call you cute when no one is around." She teased, "And that right there is definitely cute." She kissed his cheek as she stepped out of the bath tub and towelled herself down so she wouldn't be dripping everywhere as she walked, shivering, to the dresser and picked up the ring. She looked at it for a moment, and then slid it back onto her finger, jogging back to the bathroom and practically leaping back into the tub because it was cold out of the water. "Better?" She asked. Ashley smiled softly as he talked. Brandon was a player, and that much was common knowledge. Her smile widened at the worry she saw on his features. Was he already jealous of anyone else who had been with her? She found that cute. "He's kissed me." She admitted. "But no. We've never been together."
Brandon scooted closer, peering at the sheets in her hands. His eyes widened. "My gosh, you're right!" He fed them into the computer, typing quickly to switch around the dates and info so that it was the correct ones. "Thank you love, that was an incredible save." he said honestly. "I don't know what I would have done if you had not noticed that, darling." he said, shaking his head.
Chris smiled squeezing her hand and nodding, he pressed his lips to her palm keeping it there a moment just thinking about how fortunate his life had become "ready to get out? Our guests will be here wondering where dinner is." He chuckled and helped her up wrapping the towel around her and running it to keep her warm getting her underclothing "want to wear your kimono tonight or a summer dress?"Malibu hated that he felt relief but he was relieved, he paid for their meal and smiled "so what do you have on schedule now? I've got to go over some paperwork and tweak a few things..." He didn't want to leave her but there was definite work to be done now that they snagged the guru's voice.
Delaney smiled lightly "just my job..." She said modestly and took the new forms piling them nicely in the folders and picking them up again ready to walk back to her desk.
Laila nodded, smiling. "I'll get out I suppose." She decided, glad they were back on good terms again. She huddled in the towel, hoping to dry quickly as possible as it was very cold out of the water. She changed into her underwear and smiled at Chris. "I'll wear the kimono." She decided. "Can't let such a lovely present go to waste." She kissed his cheek and then looked down at herself, sighing. She had already put on some weight, but not enough to look pregnant yet. "Problem with early pregnancy, is that you look like you could be just fat."Ashley stood once the meal was finished, thanking him for paying for it. "That's alright." she promised. "I understand that there's work to be done. I'm actually off for the next couple hours." She admitted. "I could join you? Maybe I'd be of some help."
Brandon smiled, watching her organized. "You're so precise. I admire that. I have trouble organizing anything." he admitted. He stood, smiling a little. "When's your next break? I'd like to treat you to lunch, or ice-cream, or both, for helping me." He said seriously, genuine now.
Chris wrapped his arms around her from behind "you don't look fat love...no one in their right mind would ever think that. You are a gorgeous women plus you are starting to get boobs." He said jokingly kissing her collarbone.Mali grinned and nodded "yeah of course, let's head to my office, I will need your help for sure. I think some of them are your records honestly, from your Russian mission...it's the only language I struggle with."
Delaney blinked nearly losing all of the files as she stumbled "oh, yes I mean that would be nice...my next break is in a few minutes, I just have to go get lunch for my father...I mean you don't have to wait we can do it another time?" Oh why was she so bad at this? She acted like a scared rabbit around boys.
Laila smiled softly, leaning into his arms. Her smile widened into an embarrassed grin at his last comment. "I suppose that is one good thing that comes out of this." she agreed. "Don't act too happy about that." She teased, kissing his cheek as she pulled on the kimono and tied the ribbon around her waist so it sat in a bow at the back. "How do I look?"Ashley smiled, following him out of the diner and back to HQ. "Of course. I'd be more than happy to help in any way I can." she promised. When she heard about the russian, she smiled brightly, as Russian was her second language. "I can definitely help you there." She promised.
Brandon found it incredibly cute how shy she was. "Sounds good." he said, taking her hand gently and kissing it. "I look forwards to lunch with you. We could meet in a few minutes once you've gotten lunch for your father?" he suggested, wanting to be accommodating.
Chris turned her around and smiled noddibg his approval "like a royal geisha...I love it on you Laila do you like it?" He asked hopefully kissing her hand. He heard Krissy get up and realized that he needed to tell her "great another woman mad at me..."Malibu smiled and took her to his office which was nerd central, avengers posters on the wall along with his own artwork. He smiked embarrased "make yourself at home." He searched for the files and found them spreading them out on the desk "I'm going to need translation Ash."
Delaney nearly tripped into the chair her face bright red as she nodded and quickly left going to her father's huge main office "good afternoon daddy..." She said with a smile kissing his cheek and handing him the files.
Laila glanced in the mirror and nodded. "It does look regal." she decided. She pecked his lips quickly. "Thank you for bringing it back for me." her smile became a little nervous when he spoke again. "Good luck." She whispered, as Krissy came in the room, rubbing her eyes. "Guess what guys? I feel better." She stated, and then surveyed Laila. "Is that a Kimono?" She asked. Laila nodded, "Chris brought it back for me from China."
Krissy's eyes widened. "China!?"
Ashley walked into his office, and felt like she was hit by a burst of Malibu. You could see his tastes and personality everywhere. It really was sweet. She sat down gracefully at his desk, and looked down at the files. They were all in Russian. She smiled and got out a laptop, quickly typing out each one, but in English for him. "better?"
Her father looked up when she walked in, and he smiled. Dean Drakes was not a soft man. But he loved his daughter, and the hard lines in his face immediately softened when he saw her. "Hey baby girl. How's things going out there? Everyone behaving themselves?" he asked, taking the files and stashing them in their appropriate folder.
Chris blew threw his lips "Squish...we need to talk about my new job..." He got out his badge and showed her the iPad "I'm now an engineer specialist at this agency...I will go to many different places around the world at a moments notice...I was just in China an hour ago..."Malibu surveyed it and nodded his thanks "perfect, one day I'll get it...but it's just so hard to remember it all and there is no pattern to it." He quickly put away the beanie baby on his desk that Laila gave him when they were kids...can he be any more dorky?
Delaney smilef and nodded "just fine, eceryone is busy working on the guru and gossiping about the new recruit, poor kid already has himself a reputation." She was open and not shy at all around her father because she trusted him and felt comfortable "what do you want for lunch today...and don't say coffee."
Krissy looked over the iPad, frowning at first as she slowly realized what this meant. And then a smile split her features and she beamed. "This is amazing!" she exclaimed. "I have an agent for a brother!" she exclaimed. "Where's your gun? Do you have any gadgets? Can you take me to Newzealand in a fancy jet? Can we go scooba diving? Do you have an invisible suit? What jobs have then sent you on?" she asked in fast succession. Laila couldn't help but laugh. Only Krissy. Ashley smiled softly. "It's like prose. It comes easy once you get the technique." she shrugged. "I could help you out if you like…" She offered, not missing the beanie he stuffed away. "That was cute." She commented. "Who's it from? I have a couple myself. The cotton candy one, and the fourth of July one, and the classic one, of course."
Her father smiled softly, nodding. "Ah yes. The new recruit. Seems as though he's doing alright. I haven't seen the footage yet, but apparently he's a real sharp shooter." He leaned forwards, balancing his elbows on the desk. He laughed then. "No coffee? Ok. Then I'll have an extra large latte." he winked at her. "And a sandwich on the side."
Chris blinked "woah woah woah! Child calm yourself! All of my weapons and tools are given to me I don't get to keep any except for this." He showed her the very first throwing knife he got in training strapped to his leg. "I have no idea what an invisible suit is but you cannot go on the jet because you aren't supposed to know about this. But I get a lot of money so I'll take you scuba diving alright?"Malibu flushed and smiled liking that she didn't care he had a bear on his desk "Laila, she gave it to me when we were kids it's our birth month one...it's a little raggedy but means a lot we had a four year long fight...it was horrible."
Delaney scowled "you know what the doctor said, no caffeine! I'm not risking you getting another heart attack scare..." She said seriously looking around for his meds he obviously hid from her in the room "daddy...this is childish!"
Krissy clasped her hand over her mouth and bounced around with glee when he showed her his knife. "This is sooooo cool." She breathed, shaking her head. "You could be in a movie!" she shook her head. It was a little disappointing that she could ride the jet, but scuba diving was a close second. "alright. I'm holding you to that." She said seriously, hugging him. "Stay safe, ok? I want souvenirs too. Why does only Laila get them?"Ashley looked at the thing, and smiled softly, intrigued that a bear could mean so much. She found it very cute that he valued his sister so much. But she hadn't been expecting the part about the fight. "That sounds like a major war. Do you mind me asking what caused it?" she said softly, not wanting to pry.
Her father laughed, leaning back in his chair. He was confident that his daughter would not find his meds. "Caffeine is healthy, Delsie, it's what I run on!" He grinned. "You know I'll just snag a coffee from the cafeteria if you don't get me one now…" He raised an eyebrow. "You wouldn't want your old man to walk all the way down the hall just to get a coffee?"
Chris laughed and searched in his bag handing her an oriental fan with magnolia bloasoms "of course I didn't forget about you Kriss...don't be ridiculous!" He realized she didn't know about the baby either, the girl slept through a lot! "How do you feel about being an aunt?"Malibu sighed "getting recruited...it was different back then months of training...all my letters were red x and her letters were sent back. She was upset that I was ignoring her and so when I finally could see her...she ignored me, to get back at me...last week was the first time we talked in years."
Delaney found the needle and vial behind the loose brick in the wall she sighed disappointed "I don't want to lose you like we lost mum...please no coffee...that's all I ask." She pleaded injecting the syringe in the vial and tapping it letting out the air "you know the drill daddy turn around."
Krissy spread the fan and flapped it, beaming. "Oh this is beautiful. I'll bring it to school tomorrow." She smiled, hugging him. Then she stopped. "An aunt?" She repeated. She looked at him a moment, and then looked at Laila, her eyes drifting down to her stomach. "You don't mean…"Laila blushed softly and nodded.
Krissy's eyes widened. "I'm going to be an aunt!? When did this happen!?"
Ashley chewed her bottom lip, feeling nothing but pity for this poor boy. What a horrible situation. "Wow… that… that sounds intense." She said seriously. "I don't have any siblings, but I can't even imagine what that would be like." She admitted. "I am happy for you though, that you both are talking again."
Her father groaned when she found the meds. "You're too smart!" She would make an amazing agent if he wasn't so protective of her, and he knew that. He sighed softly when she spoke of her mother. "I know baby, I know. I'm sorry. It's an addiction, I'll admit." He said, turning his back to her and lowering the sleeve of his shirt. He hated having to take his meds.
Chris chuckled "at the cabin...but we found out right before I left for China...it's been busy while you've been snoring away...oh and two agents are coming to dinner, please do not ask a billion questions ok? One of them is Laila's twin brother."Malibu smiled and nodded "I'm more then happy...things feel right again when they felt so off before. I missed a lot and I'm glad she forgave me...I just get worried that's she so mixed up with the agency..."
Delaney sighed and nodded "quick poke." She warned and plunged the needle into his deltoid and released the plunger "was that so bad?" She asked storing them in her purse so he wouldn't re-hide them. She pecked his cheek again "no stressing, I'll take your blood pressure when I come back up with your healthy lunch."
Krissy nodded very solemnly. "Well thanks for informing me now that I've woken." she said, shaking her head. Her eyes lit up when she heard about their dinner guests. "Two agents?" She asked, grinning. "Awesome! I promise I won't pester them." She said, crossing her heart. "But I do want to see if they bring guns…" She said, grinning.Ashley nodded in understanding. Laila sounded like a sweet person. "I can't wait to meet her." She said seriously. Then she chewed on a lip. A non agent having so many connections that were agents? That was quite dangerous. "Yes… that is a little risky. Does she know how to shoot a gun, just in case?" She inquired.
Her father closed his eyes and just took it, rubbing his arm afterwards. He hid his wince and smiled for her. "No, it wasn't that bad." He promised, kissing her cheek. "I'm not stressing. But I do hate healthy." He teased, shaking his head. He got back to work as she left to get his lunch.
Chris rolled his eyes "if your feeling better go get the pasta boiled yeah?" He said shooing her to the kitchen and laying on the bed looking at Laila and smiling "I dont know whether being thrilled or mad is worse.." He said chuckling "I worry she won't take it seriously...you both need a gun just in case."Malibu nodded "we used to have BB gun wars...I know not the same but she shot a BB right through my hand." He showed her the tiny scar "I think she'll be fine but I'm getting her a gun just incase..."
Delaney came back with his salad and sandwich and a water bottle "there you go father...heathy and delicious, I'd stay to take your vitals but...I actually um am going to lunch with someone...and he's waitibg so...." She immediately lost her confident speaking nature when thinking about Agent 103.
Krissy sigh exaggeratedly, smiling a little as she left to the kitchen to boil the pasta.Laila sat on the bed beside him and looked over at him, smiling softly. "I think it's cute. She looks up to you, Chis. Next thing you know, she'll try to get recruited." She joked. Then she grew more serious. "A gun, Chris?" She asked, nervous. "What for?"
Ashley gasped and laughed. "That must have been painful!" She said seriously, shaking her head. "If she can shoot like that, she should be alright with a gun." She said seriously, squeezing his hand. "I don't think there's any real reason to worry too much."
He put on a smile for her, and grimaced at the salad when her back was turned. He just wanted something like a burger! Or a hotdog! But he smiled when his daughter started stammering. So she had found someone. "Who's the lucky man?" he asked, smiling softly.
Chris sighed "protection...you guys are involved with me being an agent I can't even think about the danger that could bring, your getting a small pistol and so is Krissy but only for emergencies alright? I just have to keep my family safe...especially our little one." He kissed her stomachMali sighed "I'm a worried wart ask anyone...I worry about everything. It's why doing geek work keeps me focused and present or else I'd be a horrible agent."
Delaney flushed bright red "it isn't a date! It's a thank you for saving his butt on his forms...that's all." She insisted and caught the grimace "honestly you act like a child father, what's the worse that can happen if you eat a healthy salad once in awhile?"
Laila nodded in understanding. She hadn't thought about that. She or Krissy could get kidnapped to use against him and Malibu… Laila was more scared for their sakes than her own. "Alright. But I'm not sure I can fire one very well." She admitted. She was touched that he was so intent on keeping them safe. She ran her hand through his hair and smiled softly. "They're going to grow up having an agent for a daddy. Now that will be something to talk about at school."Ashley smiled then, liking him more and more as she saw bits of his real self. "I think it's cute that you are geeky, Mali, honestly. Own it. People will respect you for that. I do." She said honestly.
Her father shook his head. "Alright…" He said, clearly not believing her. "Have fun anyways." he said, poking at his salad. "What's the worst that could happy? I could turn into a carrot!" he exclaimed. "Or a piece of lettuce or…." He gasped. "A broccoli!"
Chris chuckled and shook his head "I prefer little one not knowing...I don't need 3 people to worry about...especially my baby." He said honestly and chuckled "Mali's hand would beg to differ...he told me about the BB gun incident I think you'll be just fine"Malibu smiled and pecked her cheek "alright you know too much about me Ash, it's time I get to know the real Agent Waters." He said honestly and squeezed her hand lovingly "so let's go to your office so I can make sure these files get stored correctly."
Delaney giggled "that better be in your stomach by the time I get back I will check the garbage and toilet." She warned and smiled going down to meet Brandon she pulled her hair out of the ponytail it usually was trapped in and fluffed it out.
Laila nodded in agreement then. "Alright. We'll keep it a secret." she promised. Then she blushed red. "He told you about that?" She asked, shaking her head. "And you said you were outnumbered. You two are ganging up on me!" She complained, smiling softly. "I've got two agents in the family. Now isn't that exciting." She shook her head. "I feel like I'll be a little out of conversation at dinner tonight, with three agents in the house."Ashley smiled softly, but it was a nervous smile. No one knew her truly. That was why she was an agent. But she nodded, getting up and leading him to her office. She pushed through the door, revealing an office covered in video game and tv posters, most of them vampire, werewolf, and zombie posters. She pretended they didn't exist, as she was embarrassed, and instead walked right to the file folders, stashing the files.
Her father groaned exaggeratedly as she left, and then secretly smiled as he started picking at his salad.
Brandon was waiting leaning against the doorframe of HQ. He couldn't help but smile appreciatively when he saw her. Of all the girls he had been with, she had a sort of sweet beauty about her, and its was alluring. "Your father got his lunch?"
Chris shook his head "Ash and Malibu are not like that, Brandon on the other hand is your typical James Bond, egotistical and a killing machine...but he's a good guy, everyone is really nice there." He started to cut up the bread for garlic bread as he grabbed the special seasonings.Malibu looked around his jaw dropped "you have never...oh my gosh now I know I'm in love Ashley!" He pinned her to the desk kissing her deeply and shook his head "tell me your a nerd Ash..."
Delaney smiled and nodded "I don't think he's going to like it though I'm afraid...but...oh well." Wow that was the most she had ever said to him, she cleared her throat nervously and put her hands in her pockets she always wore cute vintage clothes and this was high waisted sailer pants and a sleeveless white silk shirt.
Laila nodded, a little reassured by that. "Well I'll be happy to meet Ashley." she said seriously. "Brandon seemed like a nice enough person. If my brother likes him, then I should too." she said, cooking up the pasta sauce to pour over the noodles Krissy was making. "Are they all being nice to you?" She asked, curious what the dynamic was like there.Ashley blushed then, embarrassed and shy for the first time. She was confident most of the time, but when he pinned her to the desk, she looked up at him and said hesitantly. "I'm a nerd?" She never told anyone about this, and no one else had been inside her office.
Brandon smiled softly as she became all shy and hesitant again. "I'm glad you managed to get it to him none the less. The big man needs to eat." he said, looping his arm through hers. "allow me to escort you to the diner, madam?" He asked, in a british accent.
Chris chuckled lightly "I have a reputation now...I feel embarrased around everyone cause they think I'm somr big shot...I'm not I just always had a good aim in basketball, archery and shooting." He set the table and smiled "I need a bigger place...nicer place. One with peanut butter storage apparently."Malibu released her from the desk and smiled @i love it Ashley...I have all these video games at home...plus my cellar is prepared for zombie attack." He said chuckling "you are a hottie nerd...next you'll tell me you have glasses."
Delaney nodded and smiled as his arm touched hers she had goosebumps "so where are we going?"
Laila smiled softly, proud of him for doing so well that even other agents noticed him. "I think its cool." She assured. "Guess all those sports payed off." She smiled, helping put the food on the table. "We'll get a nicer place." She promised. "With your new job, that's guaranteed. But why the peanut butter?"Ashley smiled softly, tucking her hair behind her ear. "Awesome." She breathed. "I've found a soul mate." She kissed his cheek. "I had glasses once. The agency payed for the surgery to fix my eyes." She admitted, blushing again. "But good guess."
Brandon pointed to one of the fancier Italian restaurants. "I hope you like pasta. This place has a deal where you can 'make your own pasta' and choose what ingredients to put into it. Sound good?" He asked.
Chris chuckled lightly "Kristine would be a better one of explaining that...according to her she's in love with a guy obsessed with peanut butter in fact there is none in the house anymore."Malibu smiled "I think you'd look great with glasses...but I like you for you, but you can be yourself around me Ash...I love that you geek out about this stuff like me...I now have a video game partner Brandon hates it."
Delaney blinked and smiled up at him "I love pasta...that's all I ate when I was a kid, but I try not to eat it a lot...my dad likes it too much so I only eat what he's supposed to."
Laila's eyebrows raised. "I didn't know she was in love." She said honestly, glancing over at Krissy. She had become a teenager right under their noses. "Well… I'll have to remember to buy some next time I go shopping. As well as some more ice-cream… I kinda finished off ours…" she smiled sheepishly. Ashley nodded, relaxing finally. She had someone she could be her around. "thank you, for being a friend I can be honest with." She said seriously. "I am confident and shady and all that, but even more than that I just like to have fun." She admitted, shrugging. "we should get together and game sometime, when we have time off."
Brandon grinned, not believing his luck. She liked pasta! He smiled brightly. "Awesome! I think pasta should be a food group… honestly." He chuckled, glancing over at her. Why did she only eat what her father did? "Is your dad on a diet or something?" he asked, curious.
Chris chuckled and smiled at his sister "tell Laila about Daniel Krissy, she will squeal and be excited better then I can." He smiled and opened the freezer "Nope we still have one snickers ice cream bar left...it is frost bitten though."Malibu nodded and grinned "I think we are going to work out just fine Ash...ready to head over to my sister's place she throws a fit if I'm late so I'm going to be early this time."
Delaney sighed "Um something like that...he has high blood pressure and heart problems...from stress so we eat healthily along with his meds...please don't tell him I told you...he doesn't like to be weak."
Krissy beamed and obliged telling all about Daniel, and in response, Laila giggled and clasped her hands, thrilled that Krissy had a boyfriend, and such an interesting one at that! "He sounds lovely, Krissy, you should have him over." She advised. When Chris pulled out the last ice-cream bar, she practically started drooling. She caught herself and held out her hands to keep it away from herself. "Don't tempt the baby! I'll eat it whole! I can't eat that much ice-cream! Spare me!"Ashley smiled softly, feeling something unfamiliar in her stomach that she didn't usually feel when she was around men… and that was butterflies. She nodded. "Alright then. Let's head over!" She said, eager to meet his sister. "I hope she likes me…"
Brandon immediately felt badly for asking. "Oh… I'm sorry about that." He said honestly, taking her hand and squeezing it sympathetically. "I won't breathe a word of it, I promise." he vowed, his hand over his heart. He then pushed the door open and entered the restaurant, sitting at a table the waiter brought them to.
Chris quickly threw it away and took her shoulders "no more ice cream...ok? We will find a new craving for you that doesn't involve cream or ice." He smiled and kissd her neck "Mmm I love that color on you...it's so pretty."Malibu squeezed her hand "she'll love you Ash ok?" He paused and then groaned "crap...I have my bike today...you definitely would not want to ride the handles..." He looked in his phone for a taxi number.
Delaney smiled watching him as she sat "is that whole...Joey from friend's attitude you have fake?" She asked raising a brow "I mean I expect you to say 'how you doing?' Any day now..."
Laila sighed in relief. "Thank you." she breathed. "Your little child likes cream and ice." she said, rubbing her stomach. She melted against him when he kissed her, and she smiled softly. "Thank you. I seem to remember you picking it out." She said, smiling softly. She pulled him down and kissed him passionately. "Don't tempt me baby, I'm hormonal, and we have guests coming." She whispered. Ashley nodded, hoping he was right. When he said he only had a bike, she smiled a little. "I'm up for riding the handles." She promised. "But if you don't want to do that, I have my motorcycle parked in the garage." She offered, shrugging. "We could used that."
Brandon's smile turned a little more sensitive then. "I don't know if its fake." he admitted. "I kinda took the whole agent thing very seriously. I dropped my old quiet self, and became what I am now." he admitted, shrugging.
Chris pulled her back and shook his head "I'm not the tempting...you are the tempting..." He muttered and smiled getting white grape juice for them to drink "I love that you don't drink either...kind of makes it easier."Malibu grinned and nodded "yeah I love motorcycles, but I got in a wreck when I was in Highschool Laila made me swear I'd never own one...and well I kept it."
Delaney bit her lip "I'd like to see that quiet guy...I'm pretty intimidated by your macho-ness...I'm scared actually...makes me more mousy and shy..."
Laila smiled softly, leaning against the counter. "Yeah?" She said, looking at the white grape juice. "I do miss wine though." She admitted. She had really liked wine before hand, and had stopped drinking it only when she started dating Chris. And now that she was pregnant… she couldn't have any either. Ashley smiled, leading him out to her bike. It was a sleek, nice looking thing, a few bits here and there jazzed up with agency tech. "I'm sure she wouldn't mind if you rode one?" She asked. "You're more than welcome to drive," she offered, waving a hand at the bike.
Brandon looked at her, surprised. No other girls had guts to say they were scared of him. It made him admire her. But he sighed, "I don't know if the quiet guy exists anymore." he admitted, folding a napkin on their table absent mindedly.
Chris nodded and sighed "I know remember I let you have your wine night on Sunday's?" He sat down and sipped his white grape juice "your brother is late...is this common for him?"Malibu whistled "oh she's a beauty Ash..." he got in the front and had her curl up against his back. He smiled back at her "hang on my gorgeous girl we are going for a wild ride!m...until the campus because the cops are strict on speed."
Delaney sighed and picked up her plate "I don't know...I want to talk to him, not Joey..." She said honestly and left to get some more pasta.
Laila nodded, smiling softly. "I know. Nine months just seems like a long time." She admitted, shrugging. Then she sighed softly, giving a curt nod. "Yes. Malibu is always late." She admitted, shaking her head. "Guess even the agency couldn't pound that out of him."Ashley hopped on the bike after him, wrapping her arms around his waist and hanging on tight. She grinned in anticipation. "Lets go!" she said eagerly, excited to ride the bike fast, and not have to be driving it.
Brandon watched as she got up and he sighed softly. Maybe this wouldn't work out after all. That was a real bummer. He liked her. But he couldn't help it if she didn't like him back. He got up to get in line for the buffet style pasta, running a hand through his hair.
Malibu arrived just as she said that he frowned and shook his head "sorry Im late Lai...but ask Ash we left early because I wanted to be on time." He cleared his throat "sorry this Is Ashley Waters my girlfriend." He smiled at her "this is Laila and the famous Agent 122."Delaney wanted to try and be braver she turned and kissed him deeply getting pasta all over them. Her face was bright red but she did it, she had her first kiss...covered in spaghetti. Not very romantic.
Ashley smiled, genuinely thrilled with that idea. "I'd love to meet her!" she agreed, comfortable and happy about holding hands with him. "I'll come. When are you planning on seeing her?" She asked, curious as to when she would get to meet his twin.
