Jay nodded, relieved. "That's good news." he jabbed a thumb towards the door. "I'm going to go get dressed, and then we can head out, ok? I should probably clean up as well." He said, smiling sheepishly. Charlotte paused then, rolling the name on her tongue. "Stefan... Stefan...." She nodded slowly. "It sounds oddly familiar.... you said he was my husband?" She asked, trying to piece together the fragments of memories that were surfacing.
Drina smiled and watched him "will your friend, like me?...what if he doesnt think I'm good enough?" She bit her lip scared.Rayna nodded and sat at the edge of her bed "you were trying to save his life with your magic it killed you...but you love him...you do."
Jay smiled and shook his head. "First of all, any friend of mine will be thrilled I got a girl. Second... there is no reason for them not to like you..." he kissed her cheek.Charlotte nodded slowly. "I think I might remember him. But... its hard to make sense of. Is he here? My husband? Seeing him might help me remember..."
Drina smiled and helped him with his shirt and tie "when did I do something so good to deserve a man like you..." she kissed him gently.Rayna swallowed and sighed "he doesn't...allow anyone to see him darling."
Jay smiled, combing his hair back a bit before wrapping his aems around her and kissing her. "You captured my heart." He said softly.Charlotte frowned. "My husband wont let me see him? That doesnt make sense. Are you sure hes my husband?" She asked, confused.
Drina smiled "how exactly did I do that?..." She wanted to know when he did fall in love with her.Rayna nodded "he's...injured from the incident, he won't let anyone see him..."
Jay smiled. "Many different ways. First by saving me, and then by being the most adorable captive on that pirate ship." He teased, winking. Charlotte sighed softly, nodding. "He's ok though right? He's not dying or anything?" She asked. "I would hate for him to die before I could meet him."
Drina giggled and looped her arm around his "ready to go?"Rayna sighed "he's blind darling..."
Jay nodded, walking with her outside. "I think so..." he turned. "Do I have any dirt on me?"Charlotte sucked in a gasp and frowned. "Blind? Did that happen recently?" She swallowed, starting to actually remember. "I should go see him then, make sure hes ok..."
Drina shook her head "you look perfect...very dashing and posh."Rayna nodded and helped her up and walked her to the room, staying in the hall.
Jay grinned and rolled his eyes. "Well thnak you milady." He gently helped her into the carriage.Charlotte gasped when she saw him and ran over beside his bed. "Stefan!" She cried, gathering his hand in both of hers. She remembered, she remembered him.
Drina smiled and snuggled close to him, it was snowing and she gasped "what is this?"Stefan felt his heart elate and sink at the same time. She was alright "go...Charlotte I don't want you to see me like this.."
Jay had one arm wrapped around her shoulders, tucking her close when she gasped. He looked out the window and laughed softly. "Snow my dear. That's what rain looks like when it is very cold out." He explained. Charlotte shook her head, kissing his hand. "what are you talking about?" She asked, not thinking that he would ever push her away. "I'm so glad you're ok... I'm never leaving your side again."
Drina stuck her hand out feeling the cold flakes on her hand. She was amazed, as they passed downtown she saw wreaths and bells. Carols sung "what is this?"Stefan swallowed and held her close "ill never see you again...or Tide...I can't go to the sea because I would be a danger to myself!"
Jay smiled, kissing her cheek. "It's winter Drina. Christmas is coming soon. It's an American holiday." he explained. Charlotte shook her head pressing a finger to his lips. "You are strong Stefan. You can live through this." She promised, picking up one of his hands. "You can not see with your eyes. But that does not mean you can't paint a picture with your hands." She lifted his hand to her cheek and leaned into it. "You can still see me."
Drina frowned "what's it about?...I've heard of Christ."Stefan traced her features "I love you...I missed you, it scared me you just died and I couldn't get to you!"
Jay smiled and nodded. "It's to celebrate his birth. We give presents to those we love, and decorate the house with wreaths and lights, and often have big dinners and parties."Charlotte bit her lip and nodded slowly, sighing. "I'm sorry. I had to save you... I did that the only way I knew how." She looked down.
Drina smiled at him "it sounds beautiful...can we have a party? With all those things?" She asked hopefully.Stefan traced her emotions and frowned "I know...are you ok now? Tide went to Rayna."
Jay nodded, "Of course. It's a tradition." He agreed, kissing her cheek. "And here we are..." The coach rolled to a stop and he opened the door, helping her down the steps. Charlotte nodded weakly. "yes. He went to her, and Rayna came and saved me." She agreed, smiling so he would feel it and think she was ok.
Drina carefully followed and held her stomach "so who are we visiting?"Stefan sighed and lay back tiredly "Tide is scared of me..."
Jay lead her carefully up to the front door and knocked. "One of my best friends." he said, smiling as they waited for the door to be answered. "We've known eachother for as long as I can remember."Charlotte frowned softly. "How do you know that?" She asked, laying beside him.
Drina smiled "is he married? Have kids?" She asked wanting to know everything about him before she met him.Stefan swallowed "Anne the maid told me...he won't come in, so I tried to block everyone out."
Jay laughed softly. "Married, yes, kids... no. Not since I last talked to him anyways..." he smiled as the door opened up. "Hey! Jude!" Jay exclaimed. "Good to see you buddy!"Jude grinned, clapping him on the back. "Jay! How's it been? Come in! Come in!"
Charlotte shook her head. "No... no Stefan... he didn't want to come in because he was afraid for your life. He didn't want to see you dying. I don't blame him. He's still young.."
Drina smiled shyly "it's nice to finally meet you." She said clearly her English nearly flawless.Stefan swallowed and lay near her "ill never see him grow up..."
Jude grinned. "And who is this?" He asked, kissing her hand. He flashed a grin at Jay. "Did you finally find yourself a girl?"Jay rolled his eyes. "Don't act so surprised..." he was so proud of Drina for her English.
Charlotte shook her head. "Don't say that. You're not dead. You'll still be there, make the memories, grow with him. Stefan, you can't think like you're dead. You still have all of your other senses."
Drina smiled and flushed "Drina...he is my fiance...I wanted to meet friends of his."Stefan shook his head and squeezed her hand "I don't feel like myself..."
Jude smiled, bowing a little as he lead them into the center of his house. "A pleasure to meet you." He said, gesturing to the sofas by the fire. "Please have a seat. I want to hear all about the past few months."Charlotte cupped his face and kissed him gently, "Does that feel better?" She asked softly, hoping it did.
Drina slowly sat down and put a hand on her stomach looking up at Jay "I think you'll be the best to tell it darling."Stefan nodded and kissed her back "yeah...you make me feel better. I love you..."
Jay nodded and sat down beside Drina. He started the story with his months on the mission, and then went on to tell about meeting Drina, and the adventures that followed. Charlotte smiled, nuzzling noses with him. "I'm glad darling, I was worried about you..."
Drina laughed "It sounds bad when you say it like that..."Stefan held her close and kissed her chest "I want to...please..."
Jay raised an eyebrow. "Oh does it?" he teased.Jude laughed softly. "Sounds like quite the tale. And I expect you both will stay for dinner?"
Charlotte closed her eyes, breathing slowly for a moment. "Stefan... are you sure you're up for something like that?" she asked, worried.
Drina smiled and nodded "of course, where is your wife?"Stefan nodded pulling her on top and holding her close "please...all I want is this."
Jude smiled and motioned to the stairs. "Putting our son to bed." he said, smiling. "Supper will be ready by the time she is done. We can head into the dining room now if you wish. Charlotte nodded, kissing him slowly. "You know I am yours Stefan, if it would help you then I am more than willing." She whispered.
Drina smiled "oh you have a boy? That's wonderful! We are expecting..." she held onto his arm.Stefan ravaged her body using his hands to know and love her.
Jude grinned, leading them into the dining room. "Congratulations! When are you due?" he asked. "If you don't mind me asking. Charlotte enjoyed it completely, holding onto him and kissing him. "You know?" She whispered softly, curling up against him. "I think you're better at that now that you're blind." She teased.
Drina smiled "in about 5 months...how old is your son?" She smiled seeing the wife come in.Stefan kissed her lovingly and he'd her close rubbing her back. "I saw you..."
Jude smiled, wrapping an arm around his wife's shoulders. "This is Mary everyone. Our son is about 2 now, right?"Jay's eyes widened. "My... a lot has passed since I left!" He exclaimed, sitting at the dinner table.
Charlotte smiled, kissing him back. "See... you're not really blind, just seeing in a different way now." She said, trying to encourage him.
Mary nodded and smiled "he is, our sweet Thomas! Good gracious Jay, I didn't know you were home!"Drina sat and took a deep breath rubbing her stomach.Stefan sighed and closed his eyes "I still hate it, Tide will never accept me as his father again.
Jay smiled, inclining his head. "Good to see you too Mary. Just got back actually." He said honestly. Jude nodded. "No kidding!"
Jay looked over at Drina and squeezed her hand gently. "You doing ok?"
Charlotte bit her lip. "We'll see. Tide? Could you come in here please?"
Tide appeared in the doorframe, and his expression immediately changed to one of surprise. "Dad?" He asked softly, shocked. He thought he was dead. He thought both his parents were dead. "Mom? You're both alive!?"
Mary smiled and pecked his cheek "good to see you darling." She hugged Drina "you are beautiful! Jay has never had a girl."Stefan smiled hearing his sons voice, he held out his hand trying to feel his son.
Jay blushed a little and groaned. "Guys... you're not supposed to be embarrassing me!" He complained. Tide ran over and hugged them both, crying quietly. "Don't die again! Please! It was so scary..." He whispered, shaking his head.

Mary smiled and shrugged "you did it to me, when we got married. I had to impress you before marrying Jude." She squeezed her husband's hand.Stefan hugged him tightly and kissed his head "Tide...I love you so much, but I can't see you buddy.. so you get to be my eyes."
Jay laughed and shrugged. "True say." He smiled at Drina, kissing her cheek. "I appologize for their behavior..." he whispered, smiling softly. Tide smiled, snuggling against him. "I'm so glad you're alive..." he whispered. Then he sat up. "Are you really blind?" He asked.
Drina shook her head and whispered in his ear "I can't understand a lot of what they are saying."Stefan nodded "I am Tide, but I still can play and do everything that we used to."
Jay sighed in relief. "That is very good in this case." He said, smiling a little. Jude smiled. "Food is here!"
Tide nodded, smiling a little. "I'm just glad you're ok..." He said seriously. "I thought you were dead."
Drina smiled seeing a very familier meal "wait, I used to eat that at the caravan!"Stefan smiled and poked his nose "id never leave my kid ever."
Jay smiled, "Really?" He asked, happy that she was happy. "I'm glad you see something familiar." He said seriously, pulling the plate over for her. Tide grinned. "Well. I'm glad you and Mom are back again." he shook his head. "I'm going to help Anne make lunch for all of us." He said, skipping off downstairs.
Charlotte shook her head, smiling.
Drina smiled and nodded "its musaka...it's a peasant meal."Mary smiled and spoke in Drina's language "my mother is from there, it's my favorite."
Stefan smiled "that's my boy! My little man..."
Rayna swallowed "you have a husband too...Do you remember Stefan?..."
