Banned Books Week, the annual celebration of the freedom to read, is here. I just read 1984 a few weeks ago. George Orwell’s 1984 has repeatedly been banned and challenged in the past for its social and political themes, as well as for sexual content. I found the story to have similar themes as The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood which is also a book that has been challenged for the same reasons.

To celebrate your freedom to read, what banned or challenged book would you like to give a try ?
