This week, we have another top three sub-genre list. Share your three favourite fantasy books or series that focus on "military life and may focus on a solider or a group who is part of a military."*

2. Black Company by Glen Cook - see 1
3. Deed of Paksenarrion by Elizabeth Moon - much more focused on one MC but really has the drudgery down.

Re the Chronicles of the Unhewn Throne, I thought the Kettral (and in particular the female members of the Wing units) were really cool :-)
