4th SOLO Quarterly - The Unlock Challenge - Sign ups!

The Unlock Challenge
Unlike our previous solo challenges, this one will be a complete mystery! It will be split into 3 parts. The first part will be unlocked on the first day of the challenge - so October 1st. The second will be unlocked on November 1st and the third on December 1st. Once a part is unlocked, you can ONLY focus on that part. That being said, you can only read for part one in October, part two in November, and so on.

This will be a solo only challenge, so if you’d like to sign up please comment below.

Rules:
*Books must be read and reviewed from October 1st to December 31st. Winners will be announced on January 1st.
*Books must be 100 pages to count (using the most rated edition on GR)
**Books read that are under 100 pages will count toward page counts
**Books that are DNF’d can count toward pages. A review and/or status updates is still required.
**Manga/graphic novels and poetry books will not be accepted for this challenge.
*Five detailed status updates can be used in place of a review.
*Buddy reads must take place within this group to count for bonus points.
**You must make a minimum of four comments on a buddy read to earn points.

Points:
*One point for every book read and reviews that works with one of the below categories
*Three points for every buddy read that takes place within our group (you must leave four comments on the thread for it to count).
*Five points for reading and participating in the group book of the month discussion (must leave four comments on the thread to count).
*Five points for every 1000 pages read.
*Fifty bonus points for completing a part.

If a book works for the team, solo, and monthly challenge - then yes you can post the same book for all.

I'm in contingent on one thing: I'm going to Cabo San Lucas on Sept. 30 and coming home October 10. Since the section won't open until Oct. 1 and I might have issues with the internet, can I catch up on my reading or would I need to read a book during the 1st-10th? Meaning, I know I can only read Oct. tasks in Oct. but I can't read all words on my phone, so if I don't get access to the internet and the tasks are XYZ, can I do XYZ when I return home IF I have to?

Yes, of course! You can complete any or all of the tasks for October when you get back from your vacation. If you only finish 3 tasks for the whole month, it's completely fine as well. I think it's like 30-35 tasks for each month and they vary from super easy to a smidge hard. So, you might end up reading a book on vacation that just happens to fall into one of these mystery categories. That's if you read because if I was going to Cabo.. I wouldn't be lol

YAY! Sign me up then, please! I read no matter where I am!!! Nothing like sitting by the pool, having a tropical drink, watching the waves whenever I look up from a good book I'm reading! :) I just worry that I might not be able to read the tasks on my phone so I might PM you and ask you if I need help reading them.
