I'll take a crack at story #2. Please feel free to make adjustment as needed. I think I managed to get all of the current "bad books" included. :-)Adjective for person #One: Icebound
- Person #One's name / role: Mr Darcy goes Overboard
- Adjective for person #Two: Honor bound
- Person #Two's name / role: Party Princess
- Where they met: The Tyrant's Tomb
- What they went there for: The Mystery of the Moving Image
- What #One wore: Bird Box
- What #Two wore: Crown Jewels
- What #One said to #Two: Sense and Sensibility
- What #Two said to #One: Never too Much
- The consequence (a description of what happened after): Mostly Dead Things
- What the world said: Murder is Easy
The Icebound Mr. Darcy was chatting with the honor bound Princess Mia while at the Tyrant's Tomb. They were participating in a murder mystery party titled "The Mystery of the Moving Image." Mr. Darcy was dressed rather dapperly in a hat with a bird feather in the band, while the Princess was resplendent in the crown jewels.
Mr. Darcy said, "One must use their sense and sensibility when investigating a murder."
Princess Mia agreed, "There is never too much sense used."
The party became much more sinister when they discovered mostly dead things. Tomorrow's headlines will have the world saying that "Murder is easy."
I'm finishing Leah on the Offbeat before time is up, or an hour before, it counts for the mini challenge.
While my Kindle is recharging, I will try to tackle another chunk of Bridget Jones. Really not enjoying it, but taking one for the team.
That is the spirit Amy ;D And nice job on the story nr.2
Finished "Lime gelatin and other monsters" yesterday but was too lazy to update that late. I will post it in a minute :)
Great job, Amy!!!As far as I can tell right now, we have 6 books towards a 3rd story and would need 6 more to finish. Below are the titles. If you KNOW you will be finishing a book within an hour of the deadline, post the title here so someone can maybe get thinking about a story. If we don't get there, no problem... the books all still count for the regular challenge.

What the world said: Year One
Unwelcomed, Leah approached the Highlander known as The Outlander. They met in Cabin 10 to discuss the art of war. Leah was wearing a shirt stained with lime gelatin and the Outlander was dressed in sun.
"What is your Zodiac sign?" asked Leah.
"I am a vampire hunter," replied Outlander.
Leah was confused by the response and left to write a letter. The world declared the beginning of Year One.

I’m about to finish Fifty Shades of Mr Darcy: A Parody with a little re-jigging.
The child Leah approached the Outlander, Mr Darcy to arrange a meeting in Cabin 10 to discuss the art of war. Leah was wearing a shirt stained with lime gelatin and Mr Darcy was dressed in what looked like his bedding.
"What is your Zodiac sign?" asked Leah.
"I am a vampire hunter," replied Mr. Darcy.
Leah was confused by the response and left to write a letter. The world declared the beginning of Year One.

hoping to find the Chestnut man and stop him from taking his due.
One dressed in shadows, the other bathed in light,
they surveyed the room, with no villain in sight.
"He is up from the grave" said sadly one.
The other agreed, "he has cut and run".
Dark awakening has started, send out the crow.
The world sighs deeply: "Let it snow"

I updated the thread and SS with my last book The Last Letter. Apparently I'm off by an hour! I'm so sorry.
LaurLa wrote: "I updated the thread and SS with my last book The Last Letter. Apparently I'm off by an hour! I'm so sorry."It goes for next week :)
You did post it when new round started.
(I should probably go check new mini challenge)
We have now completed Week 5 literally by the skin of our teeth. Well done everyone we are now on Bingo. Don’t forget we still earn points for bad book rec’s Read.
LaurLa wrote: "I updated the thread and SS with my last book The Last Letter. Apparently I'm off by an hour! I'm so sorry."I fudged our story with Maddy’s last book. With all these time changes going on what originally started as a 10pm cut off for me is now an 8pm one!
Ugh - I read two bad book recs this last week. Not sure I have it in me to read any more. One was especially bad!
I have few more that would be rereads for me (of books I actually liked).I was even thinking to tease Cat with Mrs Fix-It but it's not really worth it. They are so short that points are insignificant. :P
Good job with the stories everyone! Sorry for my lack of contribution. This weekend (well whole week really) has just been insane! Luckily, next week has a lot less going on.
I have one that I'm currently reading that isn't a bad book rec but fits for some bingo spots. (Plus it's a chunker -- 655 pages!)Then I'm moving on to either Lady Midnight or Outlander, both of which are bad book recs and significant page counts!
ETA: I'll also be reading Wilder Girls this week before the deadline for that and then Two Can Keep a Secret once it starts to get some more BOM points!
(I will definitely not finish all of those this week though!)
Hannah wrote: "I feel dumb but I can't find the bingo cards anywhere. Where are they?"They're in one of the mod comments on the first page of our team thread: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
I can read The Family Upstairs, the girl inherits an abandoned mansion so I believe that could cover one of the spaces on the bingo card, and in line with the water one we already have. Although its the setting so maybe it doesn't count.
With the mini challenge we need to get full lines to maximise our points.Using card 1 and LaurLa’s Silver this is what we need to fill that line.
• Vertical Middle
Steak
Man

Greed

Mansion - Hannah
• Horizontal Middle

Just like all of the mini-challenges, please continue to put all the options you thing your book works for so that we can move things around if need be. Still also put how they work for the Sins, just in case. And of course, Sin Bingos outrank the mini, so keep going for those if you have them :-)@Hannah - there are no specific rules on how a book must meet a space. We can be creative or not. So I say setting works as long as it's reasonably justified.
Hi :) I have read a bunch of shorties (100-120 pages) about 6 of them, but didn't post any, because it is only the beginning of the week and I plan to red some bigger books so didn't want to take all the spots with shorties. But just as an FYI if by the end of the week we need more books to avoid penalty, let me know and I can post them to reach the limit
Congrats on your well-deserved victory in the Lust mini stories! I loved the poem, and that you made it rhyme too - brilliant!
I lost internet yesterday and won’t get it back until tomorrow. It’s like being without an arm! Phone just isn’t the same...I’ve finished a couple books, hopefully I can get updated tomorrow.

Ha ha, yes. It is a sad moment when you lose your internet :D
So if it's a "recommended" bad book series, does that mean any book in the series counts (since it links to the series page)?
