❀Tea❀ (ttea) | 9632 comments what are you using for criteria part? if it's series, I don't think those first books work. only primary works count for series number. boxed sets and similar stuff don't count.
but I'm on app and half asleep already so I might be missing something obvious :)

Kaley (kaleyamo) | 1992 comments Regarding Envy... what is the best way to check to see if members from other teams have read something? My only thoughts were that we’d have to check individual members’ shelves or creep on other team spreadsheets once the challenge started, but that didn’t seem super efficient. Any better options? I know a few green YA books so I just need that third criterium.

I was thinking of these two:
The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell

Both have editions with majority green covers and have YA on on the first page of top shelves. . . just unsure about that third criteria.

I will read

Back Room - Starts 20 October
Save The Date
Save the Date by Annabeth Albert
Pages: 153
Sins: Vanity; Wrath

Maybe Wilder girls. But doubtful. Unless you really need me to ;D

Awesome! I’ll definitely read Fangirl because I’m due for a reread for it. I’ll probably end up reading Perks too for the points.

message 63: by Kaley (new)

Kaley (kaleyamo) | 1992 comments I’ll read the Back Room BOM.

I’ll try to read the other two if I can, but my library has a decent size waitlist for both of those so I’m not sure I’ll be able to get them in time.

message 64: by Hannah (new)

Hannah (diamond_rebel) | 190 comments I was already planning on reading Wilder Girls. So that works out

message 65: by Gareless (new)

Gareless | 48 comments Ohhh graceling!! I’ve had that book on my shelf for years! Perfect excuse to finally pick it up and read it

message 66: by LaurLa (new)

LaurLa | 2395 comments I'll be reading the Backroom BOM too. Should be an easy/quick on for me since it's a reread ;-)

message 67: by Kaley (new)

Kaley (kaleyamo) | 1992 comments I can't believe this starts in less than a week already! I guess I better get planning.

I know for sure that I'm going to be starting Outlander...I bought it a few months ago and have been waiting till a challenge where the big page count would matter for something to read it!

Charlie (miss_charlie_d) | 207 comments I downloaded Save the Date for BOTM, do we get more points if multiple people participate?

message 69: by Kaley (new)

Kaley (kaleyamo) | 1992 comments Another potential sin bingo candidate for vanity:
Geekerella (Once Upon a Con, #1) by Ashley Poston

-Looks majority purple to me.
-Contemporary on first page of top shelves
-Not sure what it takes to be considered an "LGBT" book -- a few of the major characters are LGBT, just not the main couple. LGBT is in the first page of top shelves though.

A lovely 170pts 😉

message 72: by Louise (new)

Louise | 3376 comments Charlie wrote: "I downloaded Save the Date for BOTM, do we get more points if multiple people participate?"

Yes and no. For each member of the team that reads the book we get 15.3 points. For participating in the BOM discussion there’s an additional 20pts to be had.

There are also 40pts available for writing discussion questions, I’ve volunteered for this but we are in the hands of the randomiser.

There is a prize at the end of TTVII for the team that gets the most BOM points, we currently have 5 people planning to read this book which is worth 175 points.

It’ll take me a while to get through but with that point count it’ll be worth it!

message 75: by Kaley (new)

Kaley (kaleyamo) | 1992 comments The mods are up to something with the worst book recommendations, right? I'm guessing some sort of side challenge, maybe... I doubt they'd want to know all our least favorite books for fun....

It looks like someone put Outlander on that list, so I may not start that one till we know what's up with the list. Don't want to miss out on any extra points by reading it too early!

Why would you think something like that! *shocked*
We just like looking at nice covers (even if it's lousy book) :P

Suuuuure, I believe it :-P

I'm sure whatever it is will be sinfully fun, at the very least!

That’s ok, trying to multi-task my challenges ;£

message 84: by Maddy (new)

Maddy | 2127 comments Oh wow. The SS is an awful shade of pink :D
Do we need to request editing rights or will only captains have that honor? ;D

Do we have a clear strategy? I am still sketchy about the whole bingo thing, so is it okay if I just read for points?

message 85: by Louise (new)

Louise | 3376 comments LaurLa and I will fill in the SS.

Post books completed in the Books Read Thread making sure you link the edition you read.

By all means read for points, we’ll allocate sins to each book read to maximise points.

When the MODs announce the mini-challenge there more directive tasks. 😊

message 88: by Kaley (new)

Kaley (kaleyamo) | 1992 comments I still have to figure out what I'm reading. I had a few things planned and then they ended up being in the favorites/bad book lists so I'm going to hold off for now till I see if they become relevant for mini challenges...

Don’t forget to take part in the discussion when it’s up for extra points.

message 95: by Louise (new)

Louise | 3376 comments How is everyone doing, we are a day in and have 3 books on the board. Finished my first book of the week and have started Gideon the Ninth (The Locked Tomb, #1) by Tamsyn Muir on audio. It’s good so far. I’ve also started Deadly Delivery A Cruise Ship Mystery (Cruise Ship Christian Cozy Mysteries Series Book 14) by Hope Callaghan I love this series and I’ve just realised it may count for a purple book. Doing a hunt of pink books in my physical home library this afternoon see what I can find.

message 96: by Kaley (new)
