Can I ask for some clarification on the criteria for eligibility of a translated work? I think it works like this:- Book originally published in language other than English in 1980, first published translation into English in 2005, eligible.
- Book originally published in language other than English in 1980, first published translation into English in 1990, new translation into English published in 2005, not eligible.
- Book originally published in language other than English in 2005, first published translation into English in 2019, not eligible.
Am I reading that right?
No - books first published in any language before 1 Jan 2000 are not eligible. The English rule only applies to the latter date ie 1 Nov 2018.

I loved it!"I'm nominating it in a self-interested way because it's a book I bought the moment it came out, and the more time passes, the more people tell me how good it is. Now that I've waited until it's eligible for our Open Pick nominations, I think I'd better nominate it or it will be washed out into the past and I'll never get to it.

We are into the last day of this poll, and the lead is currently tied. Vote now to avoid a run-off poll...
After a very close race, Disoriental sneaked ahead and won the poll.
