SOLVED. YA contemporary sci/fi--Girl MC. [s]

I am looking for a YA book that I think I read about 5ish years ago. It is set in the future in the US (although I don't think it is not called the US anymore) The main character is a girl who loves science and tech, she also had Ondine's curse's disease so she had to wear this device that automates her breathing. She also had a little sister who was more into fashion and pop culture. The plot centers around these teens that have mutant-like powers (think X-men). I think the cover was blue or purple and had test tubes on the cover
