Ms.soule (mrssoule) Does anyone know if 50% of Shanghai Girls takes place in Asia? I know it's about their lives spanning from Shanghai to the US, but flipping through it I can't tell at what point they actually get to the US (and stay there)?

I read this a while ago. I believe that most of it takes place in the US but it was a while ago and I may be wrong. Not sure if anyone has read it more recently and has more info.

I have the paperback. It's 309 pages long and the sisters arrive in the US on page 124, so that would make it about 40% in China and 60% of the book in America

The Lowland by Jhumpa Lahiri says it is set in both India and America. So if 50% or more is set in India then it will work.

The Astronaut Wives Club by Lily Koppel works

According to the rules of the challenge it must be the edition that you read. So if you don't read the paperback version with that cover or if you cannot find a Kindle version with orange on it then it will not count.
