1. It must have been published in 2014 or earlier.
2. It must be YA, MG, or NA.
3. It must not be a book the group has already read. (There are a lot of forgotten gems out there, and we want to give them all a chance!)
4. The runners up for last month's poll (Cruel Beauty and We Were Liars) will automatically be added to this month's poll.

We're excited to see your suggestions! Remember that we tally these by the number of people interested in a title, so if someone suggests a book you'd like to read, make sure you "second" their vote in your comment! You can suggest as many titles as you want. Feel free to suggest books that were previously suggested as well!

(And if you want to suggest spooky October reads, we're totally for it! 🎃👻)

Elizabeth (aliteraryprincess) | 78 comments I second In the Shadow of Blackbirds and The Last Vampire!

And since everyone seems to have the scary books covered, I'll suggest some non-scary ones:

The Outlaws of Sherwood by Robin McKinley
The Book of Lost Things by John Connolly
Stolen Songbird by Danielle L. Jensen
Dating Sarah Cooper by Siera Maley
Belzhar by Meg Wolitzer
An Earthly Knight by Janet McNaughton

Ashley (queenofwonderland) | 2 comments Roy & Ruin was great! I need to re-read to read book two so I be inspired that!
I wish I was on the desktop not my cell... are you guys all familiar w Splintered by the way? It’s the best Alice in Wonderland retelling I’ve ever read !

Carrie (brightbeautifulthings) (brightbeautifulthings) | 327 comments Mod
I read the Splintered series! It's not my favorite Alice retelling (still Christina Henry 🖤), but I liked it. The weirdness and imagery felt very faithful to the source material.
