Margaret (grandmommyd) I have been taking each of these mountains one at a time this year, which is my first year with Mt TBR challenge. It has been a wonderful time. I've had to discipline myself to choose at least one book from my at-home TBR shelf for every library book or new purchase that I read. I've read 121 books this year, 60 of which came from my faithful TBR shelf. Some have resided there for decades. That got me to the peak of Mt Kilimanjaro, and 52 of those 60 books have been passed on to new homes. That is very freeing. Now I am ready to take on El Toro. I debated doing this because the remainder of my year's calendar is pretty full of other things . . . but without the motivation of this group, I know I won't make progress. Even if I fall short of the peak, I'll be nearer to the light at the end of my book tunnel, so the journey will not be a waste. Maybe I'll surprise myself and it will be a quick climb. We shall see. El Toro, here I come.

Margaret (grandmommyd) book 64 - Soul's Gate by James L. Rubert

This book has been on my shelf for years and I really wanted it off. I read 22 out of 52 chapters, tempted multiple times to ditch it. Finally, I just decided it's not something I am enjoying so it is not worth continuing. I will be finding a new home for this one.

Margaret (grandmommyd) book 65 - This Doesn't Feel Like Love by Roger and Marcia Lamb

I started this book at least three times this year and I just can't get into it. I have decided to let it find a new home.

Margaret (grandmommyd) book 75 - Magic Mirror by Orson Scott Card

I actually read this several months ago, but I just discovered I failed to mark it for this challenge. This puts me at the top of El Toro. I am not pushing myself to the next level with the holidays and travel in sight. But I plan to be back in 2020. Happy reading, everyone!
