and I'm T, the other forgetful Mod, and together we are the Procrastination Duo
Hey :)I'm Katriina, 20 and I'm really bad at introducing myself. :')
I am currently studying commercial law in Germany, but I was born and raised in Finland, where I also started writing at the age of 10 :) My first writings would be in Finnish until I moved on to writing in German and English.
I currently lack time and motivation for writing, but when I don't, I mainly write Horror and Drama, and mostly a combination out of these two. :)
Well, I have actually been hiding in a corner with my writings so far. The very few people I actually showed what I've written were hooked and always asked for more, but I never actually showed them more. I'm here to come out of the writerly closet :)
Hello! My name is Sara. I´m 20 years old, and I portuguese. I love writting and reading. Especialy writing about witches, fairys and wonderfuls adventures. Only in the writing I can show who I am. I have a short story publish in a book called Grandfather´s storys. Thak you to invite me to this group.
Hi,My name's Yairy. I've been writing for as long as i can remember, i love it as much as reading and can write anything :)
My friends and family have finally got me to publish my writing, so I'm working on that at the moment.
Hey guys!!!! I am SmilingDork! I love reading otherwise I don't think I would be on this site. I am 16 and living in hot humid New York. Love new friends. Favorite books are Maximum Ride, The Infernal Devices, Vampire Academy, The Throne of Glass and many MANY more. I am a huge dork and can hardly stay off Goodreads. Plus I am a huge movie nerd. Sorry it took me so long to introduce myself.
Yairy, Smile, (sounds better than calling you 'Dork XD)and Hailey, welcome to writer's corner!I'm Z, your forgetful mod.
Welcome to the group.
Lol. Smile, smiley or SD work and are fine. Nickname it however it is simple cause yea the whole name is a type-full. Hi!
Hi! Looking forward to reading and writing with you all, Sara, Yairy, SD and Hailey... and to anyone else that I missed! :)
Hi, I'm Jackie heading for my 40th early 2016. I have been writing for many years, on and off but never finish anything. I have so much in my head but struggle to get it out onto paper.I have a book with so many ideas or short paragraphs. I tend to write whatever comes to mind and it can be teen to crime / murder / mystery etc but since having kids - I have also started dabbling with kiddie stories but again, not much on paper.
Tips and ideas are always wonderfully received, so I am hoping something or someone will inspire me further.
Take care y'all.
Welcome, Jackie. I'm in the same boat - turning 40 in January next year. Have been writing for a few years now and had four books published (3 x crime fiction and 1 x teen action/adventure). Best thing to do is involve yourself in some of the writing activities and see what inspiration you get. Just ask if you have any questions! Have fun!
Hi everyone, I'm Jen :) I'm 22, and, when I'm not either studying or working, I'm either reading or writing. I love reading all kinds of books, and I always have a book on the go. I'm in the middle of writing my first novel, but I also write poetry (which I post to my Instagram page). Nice to meet you all :)
Welcome to Writers' Corner, Jenny! It's great to have another member from the southern hemisphere. Look forward to reading some of your works. :)

Hello All!I'm not really a new member here anymore. I was just so wrapped up in finishing my novel at the time that I joined that I forgot about basic etiquette, i.e.-- Introducing myself. So, here goes:
My name is Tomi Wright, and I am a writer. I have recently published the ebook of my debut novel, and I've already started working on the next one. The life of a writer, ya know.
Hi, I'm Kavya, and I'm 16 and I'm currently thinking of writing a book, and this is actually my first time writing a book.
Hi Kavya! Hope you can share your writing with us. Good luck with the book. What's it going to be about?
thank you, in my book, the characters are going to be half-mortal and half-mage and in the morning and afternoon, they go to a school for the mortals and in the evening they go to a school for the mages.

Hello everyone! I'm AmbrosiaAiyren, but mainly Aiyren ;)I am 26 years old, and caught the reading and writing bug at a young age. For over 15 years I am trying to write my books, but it has proven itself to be quite the challenge.
I am very glad to have found this group!
So do we call you Aiyren or Lynn? Either way, welcome to the group and I look forward to seeing your writing. What challenges are you facing with your writing?
Hi, you can call me Lynn. The challenge I am facing is that I have no inspiration to write these days. I do try, and I get something written down, but I feel like I'm hitting a wall. I have two different stories in the running right now, and one has multiple main characters, so that is quite challenging sometimes.
helloI am author and I have 2 ebooks published in bookrix.com: "Short stories and poetry" and another on "Book reviews" on various novels and plays. I have another volume in progress on Book reviews, along with my memoir on my childhood in Communist Cuba. Hope you enjoy this group and Goodreads like I do.

If you're finding it difficult writing that particular story, maybe write about anything else and see what turns up. I find you can't just force a story - that's why I have so many going on at the same time.

I love it, but now I have three stories of about 8 A4's long, and no idea how I can stretch this into a fill novel xD But still, it is great fun to think of other stories every now and then.

Hi everyone! I'm new here. :) My name is Joy, and I'm a single mom of two - both daughters, both special needs. I am 31. I love to read, mostly YA, fantasy (including retellings!) and historical. I'm currently writing a story I started developing last year, which is a retelling of The 12 Dancing Princesses and The Wild Swans.

Welcome, Joy! Look forward to reading your work. Just letting you know, I created a folder for you and moved your prologue into that. The folder's called "Joy's Writing".

Hey Everyone, Great to meet (virtually) some fellow authors. I hope to see all of your stuff on the NYT bestseller list soon! I've just self-published a modern fantasy; this has been quite an odyssey! Happy to exchange thoughts with you all on cover art, finding editors, formatting for ebook and hard-copy, etc - I'm sure there are discussions about that elsewhere in this group.
Mod, hope it's OK to include link to my my GR author profile?

Hi Peter,
Welcome to the group. Congratulations on the new book! Good luck with it and thank you for sharing it with the members of Writers' Corner.
No drama about the link :) If you want to, under the BOOKS discussion, put in a New Release... topic and advertise your book. Tell members where they can get your book. :)

Hi Noel,
I'm sure people will pass on anything they want you to read. In the meantime, good luck with the novel. What sort of book are you writing?

Thank you! It's a scifi that's based off aliens helping evolve our technology while most of the planet has been destroyed, and things- such as Stars- have been missing for a decade. If that makes sense, lol.
I have a hard time describing my writing project sometimes.

Sounds interesting, though I don't quite understand what it's about. You might need to work on your pitch. However, if you find describing your work hard, maybe write a few chapters to get the story out of your head and then you might be able to verbalise it better. Good luck with it. Look forward to seeing it on the shelves in the near future.
