Ella (ellamc) | 6 comments I'm going to try hard to make this make sense, but it's going to be confusing, so I'll start with just one book & add to this thread after we clear up this one title's issues.

For the most part two different authors have been merged:

Charles Wright (Charles Stevenson Wright for purpose of clarity here) has been merged with the poet Charles Wright

Charles Stevenson Wright:

An incorrect version of Charles Stevenson Wright: "Charles Stevenson, Wright" should be deleted & that book should be moved to the proper Charles Stevenson Wright author linked above

And "the poet" Charles Wright, where most of the above have landed:

Harper has reissued the collected novels of Charles Stevenson Wright under the name Charles Wright & all heck has broken lose. They're all over the place. So I'll just deal with that book (and the book that shares its name) for starters.

I'll create new posts for the rest of the titles (all of which share similar confusion and multiple editions, etc)

Let's get the original novel correctly dealt with - this is easy & less confusing:

Absolutely Nothing to Get Alarmed about
(Incorrectly cataloged under a name that is just wrong here: - incorrect author should be deleted & novel should be moved to Charles Stevenson Wright linked above)

His novels were collected years ago under that same title with a twist:
Absolutely Nothing to Get Alarmed About: The Complete Novels of Charles Wright

CORRECT: (Perhaps the original edition, at least the one I'm aware of)
Paperback, 387 pages
Published December 1st 1993 by Harper Perennial

There are many other editions - including the new reissue - all floating around under various Charles Wright names. I've tried to collect a few here & will keep looking:

All of these listed below belong under the Charles STEVENSON Wright name linked above -- and most importantly, they are reissued versions (with a new introduction) of the book marked "CORRECT" above.

All should be collected together under that first correct one as reissued/other editions:

There's something odd going on w/ the audio versions - a later release date, apparently. Here's the publisher page for it:
Paperback, audio, kindle & ebook versions: & these details are the same for all of these new 2019 reissues:

Paperback: ISBN-10: 0062839608 ISBN13: 978-0062839602
Kindle: B07PPNNF3D
ebook: 978-0062966421
Various audiobook versions too
(Not entirely sure about page numbers, but the paperback I'm holding is 416 pages)
All except the audiobooks are published by Harper Perennial; Reissue edition (August 27, 2019)
All in English

I hope this makes sense. I'll deal with the individual novels another day, or maybe someone from Harper will jump on it?

Moved all the books to the Charles Stevenson Wright profile.

Sorry. I didn't realize I should (or was allowed to create a new thread.) Thanks SOOO much for doing all of that work. You're awesome.

Always preferable to start a new thread.
