Vorlady | 89 comments So, I don't know about all of you, but autumn is one of my favorite times to curl up with a good mystery. I also like to get in to the season, and Halloween is just around the corner.

Do you have any favorite autumn/Halloween mysteries that you read this time of the year?

I love to re-read Hallowe'en Party each year.
Also on my list to read is Murder, She Wrote Trick or Treachery (I'm a fan of the tv show and thought I'd give one of the novels a try.)

Kim Galla (catmommie) Well, I just read Duma Key for the Novel Ladies Group. Working on The Godfather now.

Might do The Presence or The Darkest Evening of the Year next.

Vorlady | 89 comments I hope you enjoy! :-)

I just picked up Blackwork by Monica Ferris last night at the store (I had a lovely coupon!). There is a nice (modern with some color) blackwork pattern in the back ( you can see it on her website: http://www.monica-ferris.com/Patterns... )

It is definitely a Halloween story and involves a modern day "witch" -- she is Wiccan -- whose cauldron contains not eye of newt and toe of frog, but a home brewed micro-beer.
