Ashlee | 5 comments Some of my favorites are the IAD series by Kresley Cole and The Night Prince series by Jeaniene Frost. I always look for a good drama/angst filled book where the two love interests go through some really tough times, but end with a HEA.

Robin (rockin_robin) | 79 comments Shadow's Edge (Night Prowler, #1) by J.T. Geissinger I read the first three books in the Night Prowler series by J.G. Geissenger years ago but I feel like I stopped reading because it was too angsty/dark for my taste. Well-written with complex characters, just not my thing.

My favorite "super angsty" PNR novels are probably these 3:

Tangle of Need (Psy-Changeling, #11) by Nalini Singh Tangle of Need by Nalini Singh
(Psy-Changeling #11)

Coyote's Mate (Breeds, #13; Coyote Breeds, #2) by Lora Leigh Coyote's Mate by Lora Leigh
(Breeds #13)

Trinity (de La Vega Cats #1) by Lauren Dane Trinity by Lauren Dane
(de La Vega Cats #1)

For male-male paranormal romance, this one is pretty good and has a bunch of angst:

Finding Forgiveness (Poconos Pack, #1) by Dana Marie Bell Finding Forgiveness by Dana Marie Bell
(Poconos Pack #1)

Amyiw | 172 comments angst- feeling of anxiety, apprehension, philosophical fear, feeling of extreme anxiety and unhappiness.

Coming from M.Webster, Cambridge (was the unhappiness added), and thefreedictionary. I always associated with self doubt worry and point to a lot of YA PNR but don't really think of IAD or NH there. Lots of the YA PNR I've complained about the angst just being too much, one of the reasons I give to avoid it usually but not always. Maybe I associate the word with more of the teen angst variety. hmm...
