Sorry for the late reply Ruth, you know I’m commuting around this time, and arriving at home there’s always other stuff…But it is indeed Chuck Close with a very big self portrait: these give you an impression of the life size:
I was certain I wouldn’t need a second pic but still I have some other stuff selected, coming up.
Later in life he lost his hair, got paralyzed and stuck in a wheelchair but didn’t stop painting albeit a little bit less detailed.
