It's time to open our nomination thread for the November 2019 Non-Fiction group read. November's non-fiction theme will be open choice.

Criteria:
1. Book must be by a female author (transwomen and women using male pseudonyms are women).
2. No books that have already been group reads (see our list of previous reads)
3. You cannot nominate a book you have written yourself.
4. Book must be Non-Fiction.

How to Nominate:
1. Give both the title of the book and the author's name when nominating to avoid mix-ups. Title only nominations risk being missed.
2. Please use the 'add book/author' button when nominating otherwise your nomination may be missed.
3. Indicate whether you are willing or not to lead discussion if your nomination is chosen.
4. One nomination per person.

Nominations will close September 15th

Looking for Lorraine: The Radiant and Radical Life of Lorraine Hansberry by Imani Perry, Carol

I nominate *Looking for Lorraine: The Radiant and Radical Life of Lorraine Hansberry by Imani Perry. I can lead.

*Anita, I’m changing my nom. I hope that’s okay, since it’s early
in the process. I won’t make a habit of it.

Michaela | 286 comments This has been nominated before (not by me), but hasn´t won, so I´d like to nominate Sounds and Sweet Airs: The Forgotten Women of Classical Music by Anna Beer. Sounds very interesting! I can lead.
