What are your favorite zombie stories?

Randy Harmelink | 1597 comments For a short story, Just One Day. What's not to love? A spaceship, a black hole, time travel, and, yes, zombies!

For series, Adrian's Undead Diary, A Very Good Man, and Zombie Rules.

I've always wished the author would delve into horror again, but I think (??) that's the only horror novel he's ever written. (Off to check.....).

Marie | 3342 comments I started reading this series and need to get back into it as I really liked the first two books. Here is the first book that starts it off:

Zero Day (Slow Burn, #1) by Bobby Adair by Bobby Adair

message 13: by Alondra (new)

Alondra Miller | 1860 comments My list starts off with an underrated series:

Autumn (Autumn, #1) by David Moody by David Moody, is just a great story. We see them from the beginning and its horrible. Great story telling.

Rot & Ruin (Rot & Ruin, #1) by Jonathan Maberry by Jonathan Maberry is excellent. It is in the YA section; but the story is anything but, IMO. Violent, crazy and this story intersects with Joe Ledger. Woot!

Speaking of Joe; Patient Zero (Joe Ledger, #1) by Jonathan Maberry . Yeeahhh, the good old strain of zombie created by a madwoman and released to unsuspecting good folk. Good stuff.

Dead City (Dead World, #1) by Joe McKinney by Joe McKinney is awesomely dead. This is just book One; things happen quickly.

The Walking Dead, Vol. 1 Days Gone Bye by Robert Kirkman by Robert Kirkman, is actually a great comic/graphic novel series. The dead kill off a lot of characters before you get to love them real good. In the TV show, the main characters actually live for like "years".... not the comics. They die off quickly except for Rick and Cooorraaalll.

I have a few more, but these are the tops. :)

I didn't like that one as much as the 2nd book; Fall of Night (Dead of Night, #2) by Jonathan Maberry . I do love it and cannot wait for book 3.
