"I have to concur with Henry, Authors Publish Press is not a traditional publisher but seems to be some sort of authors collective? Is the book available on Amazon, Kobo, Nook, or can I walk into a B&N and find a copy on the shelves?
After 20 years in the writing business I am curious that you have a blank GR profile with no books listed? What exactly are your credentials for selling a "how to" book?
Wow, a tough crowd here. Author Publish is a small publisher out of the Seattle area but is a traditional publisher. The book will be available in eBook (all platforms including iBooks) and print formats (not print on demand). I've previously published six books across a few different genres, the last of which was a dystopian suspense novel (Alarm Clock Dawn). As for my lack of profile detail here on Goodreads I just haven't spent much time here but plan on beefing up my profile within the next couple of weeks.
Henry, Alarm Clock Dawn is my latest book but I have many others as well. I've been writing for just a few months shy of 20 years and have won awards, written freelance articles, and my work has appeared in literary journals. I'll list everything I've done on my profile here on Goodreads within the next few weeks.
In the future suggest you do more than a quick Google search before making assumptions and accusations about a fellow author's credibility.
We are all part of the same family and fighting the same fight. I wish you well in your career, Henry, and will be happy to answer any questions you might have once my profile is built.
Thanks,
Eric

I find it ironic that you went with a traditional publisher to talk about writing with indie authors. Good luck with your book!
Abigail wrote: "I find it ironic that you went with a traditional publisher to talk about writing with indie authors. Good luck with your book!"It is ironic, Abigail! Throughout all these years it was always my goal to get "accepted" by a traditional publisher. When I gave up on getting traditionally published and forged ahead with self-publishing the opportunity presented itself. It's been a wonderful break from being responsible for every aspect of producing a book and has allowed me to focus more on the writing.
I'll likely continue to self-publish other projects. I'm currently working on the sequel to Alarm Clock Dawn, which should be on the market next Spring or early Summer. It's been such a challenge to hold a day job and launch a writing career. I discovered exactly how many of us are in this situation through my social media pages and this was my motivation to write, "One Word.." to try to save other authors from falling into the same traps that I have.
I appreciate your kind words.
Eric
