a few things about this book before i forget them.

(view spoiler)[ 1. if his sin was the final straw that made god decide to kill off the world, why did it not happen until years after he killed the guy?

2.im calling bullshit on the star shaped scar that he just got by catching his hand on a medical tray. thats some serious misdirection!

3. that ending. seriously that's the big climax? he just says, hey god, i know that you decided to give up on humanity and kill us off because we are so awfull, how about if i just pay for all their sins instead and you let them off and god says oh alright i guess i can change my mind about all of humanitys evil because you offered and by the way, no need to pay for their sins. i know i let my own son get tortured and crucified and murdered to pay for their sins once but i feel like just letting you off the hook for free and also giving you what you asked for. your welcome. now go back in time and pretend this didn't happen.

4. why are the angles after him again? his was the final sin, the straw that broke the camels back, but it wasnt anything personal right, god gave up on humanity and decided to kill us and he would have died with everyone else so why send the evil angles to murder everyone and carve a message into an innocent guys stomach and throw him through the window just to send a message. i can buy into the whole angle of death sent to wipe out humanity because that has supposedly happened before but what they did to peter was evil and i don't buy it. evil angles is a stupid idea.

5. the angles cant enter the bar because it is a place of evil? i thought earth was a place of evil and that's the entire reason they are here. so a pornographic magazine repelled them? what would happen if he just pulled his dick out and started masturbating while running away and talking really dirty? could they touch him then? im just curiose

6. i know these are mostly complaints and faults with the book, but despite the stupidity of it i did like all the stuff he did after going back when no one else remembered anything.

(view spoiler)[Reply to 1. I was asking myself the same thing. I figured that it was because God’s time is different from our time. At least that’s what the Christians say. I hear that all the time when I asked about the creation of the world, animals, and humans in 7 days.

Reply to 2. I too felt that the scar in the star shape would have more meaning but it was just a scar.

Reply to 3. I’m no religious expert especially because I get upset about all the horrible things that happen. I do hear all the time that God is a jealous god. Apparently so. I’ve always found the stories from the bible extremely violent and cruel. With floods, wiping out cities because he doesn’t like the way they live, spreading plagues, and just cruel sufferings or odd acts in his name. With the snow storm it’s him just being himself, not really original but I have to say it was along his lines so I did enjoy that part in consistency. I liked the ending because follows the dotted line. He would let them have it all back because of a big sacrifice. Harry doing the big act of Jesus and giving himself up. The part that is different is Lucas. I enjoyed his role. He’s a very likable devil. The way I’d picture the devil to be. Questioning things and rooting for us.

Reply to 4. I’m not sure why the Angels are after him other than just to put his head on display to say this is the fool that made the choice in his act of murder. Symbolism perhaps, maybe a reminder, not sure. I was thinking it was along the lines of us making us sympathize with Harry and think it could have been any of us. Imagine if it was just the act of having an affair on the wife or husband. I don’t know all the 10 commandments but I’m sure any one of them would have done it. It’s just that Harry’s sin was the “straw that broke the camel’s back”. I do like the idea of making the angles the bad guys. They are the mindless drones just following God’s demands. Justin, I know you are shaking your and rolling your eyes at me, lol. :P

Reply to 5. I don’t know what the bar would be considered evil. Is drinking a sin? That’s quite judgmental. Just because people go to the bar to drink doesn’t mean it’s evil. Now I could understand if it was a gentlemen’s club or something like that but just a pub or bar, I don’t understand it. The porno torch was funny. I that was more for humor, or at least I felt it was. It would be funny to watch a man whip out his junk and start wanking. It would be a bit more difficult for a female to do that.

Reply to 7. Are you talking about the Jack short story about it all. I read that. Are there more short stories because I just looked at my kindle version and didn’t see more. The Jack story was just the same things going on just in the church. (hide spoiler)]

im not sure, i didnt read them, i just know my novel ended at about 80% and then said bonus storys for second edition. i didnt read them. i didnt really care about this story anyway and the bonus stories for sea sick which i did like where dumb so i dont really care to read them unless you or andy read them and think they are good.

Andy, Origin was good, the second half is really when it picked up and get kind of gory. I do enjoy Bub. 11811 said it was really good in audiobook format.

In my edition the epilogue ends at 81% and then has special edition bonus contents tales from final winter (chance of snow, cold shoulder, when hell freezes over, news and weather, cloud cover, winter before last) and then the bonus novela the peeling of Samuel lloyd Collins.

I got mine from Amazon quite a while ago when it was free, I wouldn't think they would downgrade the Amazon version from the special edition back to the normal one unless maybe both are available but the normal is the one that is free on kindle unlimited. If you want to read the bonus stuff I can lend it to you

It's okay I don't need to read the bonus material. Thanks for the offer. Isn't it strange that with Kindle Unlimited they downgraded it. Very odd. I would think they would want free publicity but then again. It's all about money.

I checked Amazon and there is only the one edition. Mine says I already purchased it on april 8 2013 and it is the one that is free on kindle unlimited. They must have done an update since then and taken the bonus stuff out. I never do the updates.

I checked it too. Good thing you didn't do the updates, they will take your bonus material away from your free books.

That is weird, holes in the ground just came out so maybe he is going to do something special with the bonus stuff because of that. Put it in a print only edition to make more money or something maybe. That's why I don't upgrade my books I wouldn't be too happy if I updated only to realize it was a downgrade and I was losing content I paid for.

I just started ravage and it is a sequel to Sea Sick with a major spoiler in the first sentence of the book. I had no idea it was a sequel but sea sick is an awesome book so read that first!
