Hi everyone,My name is Nick Cook and I'm an author with my debut novel, Cloud Riders: The Gathering Storm, out next summer.
You may also know me as CloudRiders over on Twitter. https://twitter.com/CloudRiders
Having been a member of GoodReads for a while, I've finally gotten around to having a proper look around the site and stumbled across your group which looks great.
My website/blog is here which as you'll see I have more than a passing interest in quantum physics:

I know I'm long overdue to write a new article on there but I promise I'll get round to it next week, honest! What do you mean authors procrastinate! ;o)
Great to be onboard and looking forward to reading your YA recommendations.
Hello everyone!! Welcome to the group!! I love reading all your stories about how you started reading.
Hello, my name's Maria, I'm 16 and spanish. I obviously like reading. Also listening to music and watching films. I'm way more in love with Will Herondale than I should be (just letting you know right from the start) , it's a problem, I know it. I'm really excited to be part of this group!
Hello! My name is Hila and I'm 18 years old. I love reading YA books in English, even though it isn't my mother tongue. When I was about 12 or 13, I jumped straight from middle grade books to adult books, and now I feel like I missed on YA books. I decided to read mostly YA books, and most of the time I really enjoy them! I read about 4-5 books a month :)

Hello! I'm Leah. I love reading YA on the train and to relax after work. I find the stories in YA books to be more my sort of thing anyway. I suppose a lot of people in this group aren't in their teens anymore and its nice to be in a place where I can talk about the books I love. Most of the books I enjoy have some sort of supernatural/fantasy or Dystopian theme.
Let me know if you have any recommendations on what I should pick up next :)
Reading and writing YA on a daily basis -- recent reads include Jackie Mitchard's NOW YOU SEE HER, Nick Horby's SLAM, and Shaun Hutchinson's FML. All worth reading. Tend to focus on contemporary stories, although I enjoy speculative fiction grounded in our world (think THE 5TH WAVE or Mike Mullin's ASHFALL).
Hi! My name is Hoot, and I'm over course a book worm. I have my face in a book constant, my battle for reading is time. Time flies and I then can't catch the book to finish. Poor me scattered with shame. I love this group already and can't wait to be active, woohoo!! Watch Hoot come through :0
Whoops, my favorite genre is Supernatural, Dystopian, and of course Young Adult!Favorite books/series: TMI, THG, Hush, Hush Saga, Divergent series, & The Immortal Rules + Immortal city + The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer :)
^Thats me + my introduction :)))
(triple chin, don't worry I don't really have one)
Hi everyone! My name is Fran, and I am a youth services librarian. I guess you could say that reading YA lit is part of my job, but I would read it even if it weren't. I love the themes of YA lit, and I read it almost exclusively. I am currently obsessed with Rainbow Rowell (Eleanor & Park was my favorite read this year). I also love John Green, David Levithan, Maggie Stiefvater (how amazing is the Raven Boys series, amiright?), E. Lockhart, Barry Lyga, and Louise Rennison. No matter what I read though, Harry Potter is still the best thing ever and probably always will be.
Looking forward to many great discussions in this group! I read 5th Wave for the Forever Young Adult book club this month, so I'm all ready to discuss. ;)

Hoping to use this group as a way to stay current on what's trending since I'm not currently teaching and my twins have very specific genre preferences!

Wow, I'm so excited you own one of my books! Sometimes when you publish you feel like the book just disappears -- so good to think of books being read and sitting on bookshelves!

Whats up! My name is Asia and just like everyone else, I love to read. I'm 17, a high school senior, and I live in crazy weathered Michigan. I love running and working out; I am the captain of my school's track team. Well, that's pretty much it, but anyone can ask me questions if they please.
Hello! I just joined this group with intention of getting acquainted with lots more of YA lit! My goal is to read 75+ books next year (the goodreads challenge). I've been reading a lot of John Green lately--however, I think it's time for me to expand! I look forward to making some contributions and, above all, to enjoy reading along with you guys.
Hi, I'm Ayanna. My favorite YA include Philip Pullman's Golden Compass, Subtle Knife, Amber Spyglass trilogy and Tamora Pierce's Song of the Lioness series. Oldies but goodies.I think books are absolutely magical and the best ones are MG and YA. That's why I went into the children's book publishing industry (and work in a children's library in NYC so I get to read the newest books all the time *sigh*) and just started my own literary agency to find more of these great books for you all to love!
Can't wait to talk more with you all and learn about the books you want published next as well as discuss why you love the books that we discuss here!
