Lily padded quickly up to the barn, shelter for her and the four mewling kits in front of her. She ran threw a clump of some strong smelling plant— dock maybe? She sniffed harder. Yes, it was dock. It grew beside her old twoleg's home. It would be good for the kit's soft pads, and her own. She took some inside with her.

Hazel meowed in protest as her mother pushed her into a pile of some soft, odd smelling thing and began rubbing some plant on her tiny pads. At least it helped the ache.

Snowpelt Padded slowly into the barn, It was cold out side and there was a strom comming so she wanted shelter. Then she heard Mewing kits.

"Hush dears." Lily meowed softly. "Everything's alright. We're safe now." Lily placed the dock on the barn floor and sniffed. There was a strong sent of mouse, and a scent of...CAT! Lily pushed her kits into the pile of..hay? Yes, hay. And then stood in front of them, bristling. But if it was a wild cat that wanted to hurt her, they didn't stand a chance!

Hazel lifted her head and hid with her sister and brothers behind her mother. She uttered a terrified mew.

Snowpelt looked around a corner of hay to see a mother, And...A small tail sticking out of the hay. She walked fully into the open. "Its ok, I'm a loner too."

Lily blinked, then slowly let her fur lay flat. "Oh thank goodness!" She sighed. "I'm Lily. I used to be a kittypet, but I had kits. And if I didn't run away my twolegs would have taken them away, and the other house cat would continue to hurt me, or worse, my kits!" Her blue eyes grew huge. Then, she padded love to her kits and nuzzled a tabby's ear.

Hazel stood up on shaky legs and padded awkwardly off the hay, falling with a startled mrrow! into the pile of dock leaves. She stood and padded up to the new cat. "I'm Hazel!" She squeaked,

Snowpelt laughed. "I'm snowpelt. And...I got parted with my family." She looked at the kit and crouched down. "Hello young one."

"Hi!" Hazel said and lay down, rolling over to look up at her. "Are you a friend of mommy's?" She asked, blue eyes wide. ((I think her eyes were blue...))

Lily laughed softly and nosed two kits, the toms sleeping, into one place. She sat down, wrapping her tail around her paws and scenting mouse.

"Hah, Yeah...I'm Mommys friend." She looked at the kit woth A sweet smile. Then looked at Lily. "There so sweet."

Lily smiled. "They are." She scented a mouse and moved into a crouch like she'd seen a wild cat do over the fence. She crept forward and pounced, slamming her paw down on it's tail as it scampered away. She killed it and drug it over to her kits. Prodding the toms awake she called, "Hazel! Come eat."

Hazel padded over, smelling a good, but foreign scent. She looked at the mouse and took a bit, before digging in with her littermates.

"So I-" Just then the pitter patter of rain started. "oh...Hmm...Mind if I stay for a bit?"

"Of course I don't mind!" Lily said, catching a mouse for herself and taking a bite. "Hmmmm...different, but good." She said with a nod.

Hazel's tummy was full, so she curled up and snuggled with her littermates. She closed her eyes, sleepy.

Snowpelt padded to where Lily was. And layed down not far from where she was. The rain started getting more heaver. She looked back at the kits then there mother, "They look a lot like you."

"And like their father.." She looked sadly at Poppy and Oak. She shook her head, not dwelling on their father's betrayal.

Hazel snored softly, rolling onto her back in her sleep and waving her paws around.

Snowpelt got that the convostation was over. She also looked back at the kits. "So...Are any kin of yours from a clan? or rouge?"

Lily shrugged, "My father may have been, maybe a littermate, though I wouldn't know."

She nodded. "I see. My family is all over the place tahst all." She heard the rain getting even more heaver. "Wow... what a strom!"

"Yes, it is. Lucky the barn is solid enough!" Lily said and sighed. "I'm just glad to be away from twolegs and Rose." She growled the name.

"Rose?" She repited. Snowpelt looked down at the kit and sighed. Then back at Lily.

"Yeah, she's that housecat I was talking about earlier. She thought I was taking her house away. She was a mange-pelt." She hissed at the thought. Then she looked at Snowpelt. "You okay?"

Hazel mewled in her sleep, happily.

"Hmm? Me? I'm fine. Just...Thinking about my own family." Snowpelt looked down sadly.

"You have kits?" Lily asked. She hadn't seen any, and there was no milk scent on her.

"oh. Me? Haha, no." She laughed at the though. Who would want at cat like me as a mate anyway...?

"Oh. Sorry, I assumed.." She trailed off, realizing she sounded stupid.

"No...Its ok." Snowpelt looked down. "But I thing I do wonder about Is My Long Lost sister,"

"A long lost sister? Maybe I've seen her?" Lily offered.

"No...Shes in...A clan I think." She shook her head. "Then I have my brothers and other sister and then a Mother but Then My Father..." She trailed of. Mumbling about her family. "Anyway..."

Snowpelt let out a yawn. And shooker her head. "Long day..."

Lily nodded and walked to the kits, curling around them. She yawned too. "Tomorrow, I'm going to look for herbs. We could be staying here awhile." ((She means her, and she's probs gonna live here.))

"Hay, Is it ok if I help you? I meen with the hurbs." She asked.

Lily nodded, "Yeah." She smiled and set her head on the hay.

Lily opened her eyes, wondering where she was, until she remembered she was in the barn with Hazel, Oak, Poppy, Shade, and Snowpelt.

Snowpelt stood up and shaked her coat.

Lily stretched and stood, "Morning." She said to Snowpelt and went to catch mice.

Hazel blinked her tiny eyes open. Oh! I can explore today! she thought.

"Morning." She arched her back, Stretching as well. "I'm just gonner go...Look for pray." Then a sudden idea came into her head. "Would you like any kit to come with me?"

Lily looked at her kits. "Hazel's awake, you can take her. Show her how to hunt?" She said and brought two mice back, one for the three sleeping kits, and one for her.

Hazel bounced up excitedly. "Yay!"

Poppy's eyes immediately opened "MEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!" she squeaks running in circles around Snowpelt

Snowpelt almost fell over. "Wow...Only if out mother lets you..."

Poppy followed Snowpelt her tail and head held high

Poppy gave a quick excited glance to Lily looking for a glance of approvement

Lily sighed. "Yes, take both. Maybe she will FINALLY run out of energy!" Lily said, shooting a loving, yet harassed look at Poppy and then laughing.

Hazel squeaked, "YAY! Poppy gets to come too!"

Snowpelt laughed. "ok then, Come on you two." She carryed on padding. When she got outside, she could instantly smell pray,

Lily shook her head in laughter and went to look for more hay for a nest.

Hazel bounded outside and sniffed the air. "What is that smell?" She asked Snowpelt.

Poppy sniffed the air "Is it MOUSE!!" she whispered loudly giving a wild guess

" hah Nice try, Its a vole. Although they are a lot like mouse." She sniffed the air once more. "shhh... Follow Me." She whispered and crouched while walking to the pray.

Lily grabbed Oak by the scruff and brought him the the mouse she'd caught. "Eat you two!" She told Oak and Shade.

Hazel crept as quietly as she could after Snowpelt and Poppy.

Shade nodded quietly taking a bite of the mouse first

Poppy followed Snowpelt very quietly making sure she didn't step on any leaves

Snowpelt Carryed on crouching untill she could see the vole. "Shh..wach." As she lep up in one swift movment, The pray only noticed her untill it was too late. She caught It with her claw and before it could make a sound she bit the back of its neck.
