A place where Gabi can display her wares: still lifes, flowers, portraits, and Fab fakes. Also a place where others can say, "Gabs, have you ever drawn a .....?" and, if she has, maybe actually see it.

(BTW, "Gabi Road" is a lame attempt at "Abbey Road," a piece of musical art created by the Beatles.)

Sometimes (the nice man part).

Do you ever draw wild animals, like, say, ducks? I like ducks in art, but have little use for them in a lake, thanks to duck poop which mixes with the same water I shower in (in the summer, our water is pumped out of the lake, you see).

Interesting... the second drawing looks a bit like those of the illustrator in the old Dick and Jane books. Not that I have any clue who that illustrator was. Let's just say it has a nostalgic tone.... if art can have "tone."

Morning Gabi, this is Ellen, my treasure when she still thought I was the bees knees. Now!! she is fifteen with buckets of attitude and a clash of the titans everyday, unfolds, but love her to bits anyway.

Gabi, this is literally the last rose of Summer in my garden. Terrible weather for roses..took this pic this morning before it's blown away..the walls of the house should be covered with this old rose but few and far between this year... Photobucket

message 21: by [deleted user] (new)

It's a rambler called 'schoolgirl' Gabi. It's there years I'd say, the house is not far off 180 years old and the root of the rose is like a tree.

I think it's great that you're tackling your "weakness" (landscapes), which doesn't look like much of a weakness to me. Keep us (OK, this thread) posted.

If so then maybe your e-mail is wrong at the goodreads site. If it is like mine I am always logged in. Look and see if you used a different e-mail address.

That sort of fixit is not in NE's domain...or mine! You need to talk to Otis at Goodreads Feedback group.

Sorry, I didn't ignore it, I just didn't have an answer for it. As a software problem, it's out of my league (not that I have a league, but...).
