Alright. But I also have to read several other books for the MMP group challenges, so I'm not making any promises. I'll really try to read it though :)

It's okay, we have until the end of Feb. I'm not starting it anytime soon either. Will let you know and then we can see :)What're you reading at present?
I'm reading three books, all for the MMP group.
(almost finished with this one), and only just started these two-
Tell me if you're interested in reading any of them and we can do a BR :)
Not for the present, I can't. I am reading another book with my Crime BR soon and am yet to complete one other PD James that I started with the first.Let's read something together starting Feb?
Ipshutup! Finally! I thought you were never gonna grace this thread and me with your presence :PWhat's up?
Hmph, I'm always present with you. You see, I have become a metaphysical being for you. You can't live without my presence now. Mwahaha...I wonder if the evil laugh ruined all the master-slave edge of my statement :P
Master-Slave? I thought I was listening to a self-illuminating villain, with a straight face, just waiting for him to finish his speech :P
I can't handle so many threads altogether *pulls on her hairs*Ahan? Should I be scared? ;)
What do you plan to do to me, you villain?!
As would please you, my villain ;)Darn! I'm sorry, I just can't handle so many threads together from my phone :\
See you soon :*
Whenever you're here next- wanna start David Copperfield? We'll take it slow, no set time period, no set rules.
Nah, I read it just a couple of years ago so it's still fresh in my memory. I'm up for a Tale of Two Cities read, though it'll have to be near the end of February.
Okay, I'm up for that too. But since I've already started David Copperfield, can I update you later if I can start it then? If not Feb end, then sometime in March beginning!
Oh shoot! Sorry I missed this. Have you started The Tale of Two Cities yet? Um, I can start in on Tuesday, if that's okay with you? I'll get the book by then :)So what did you think of Gone Girl?
No, I haven't started it. Tuesday is fine for me.Yeah, I think I get now what Fong meant by saying I'm a little similar to Amy (Not much though. I'm so much more compassionate) :P
It was a bit difficult for me to get into in the beginning, but then it became rather unputdownable.
Not yet. I was saving the suspense for the book. Wouldn't have enjoyed reading it as much otherwise.
That is true. Exactly why I wanted to finish it before the movie came out!Let's buddy watch, what say?
Okay, I'll tell you when this week. I don't have Internet access abhi to I'll have to download it first from someone else's place :PI'll do it and tell you :)
Let's also do The Ocean At The End Of The Lake. Tilak Purvi and Ishi are really scared by that one. It makes me curious! Specially Ishi's "I didn't get scared by shining but I was by this" :PI checked their thread.
And while we're at it- make me a billionaire so I can buy all these books.
-_-
Oye listen, can we please start this next week? Actually I ordered a copy online and it'll reach me next week. I got a good discount *hides face*Um, if that's okay with you, we can start The Professor tonight. Or tomorrow. Or whenever you're fine with, if the book is fine with you, that is.
Lemme know what you think :)
I have no idea where you have gone off to but I started The Professor. ATOTC is yet to reach me.The introduction doesn't make it sound very promising but compels you to read it. But it is not talked down upon, for sure! And I'm planning on reading Jane Eyre after ATOTC. JE was published after this and this is usually referred to as her "practice novel". I want to see her grow.
Hey ipshi um, I hate to do this to you but.. My second internals and submissions both are next week. Do you think you can postpone it another week? Or you could just go ahead and start reading, I'll start this next month :)
No, that's fine. And that will be better for me too. You see, I can't find my father's copy of ATOTC so I'll have to buy it since I won't be satisfied with an ebook where this novel is concerned.
I just am not used to reading classics in electronic formats, also I like this story, and I need a break from ebooks.
Of course, my dear! After all, you'd do anything to fit the description, Nai? ;)I have mine too ^_^
So shall we start Monday then? Finally? :D
"Anything to fit the description"? Makes me sound like a loose-moraled person :PMonday is good for me. We're going to read at an easy pace, right?
You can't be loose-moraled for me? :(Let's see- I'm also planning to start A Clockwork Orange with Sou. And though my partner might be too busy DC for a while, I am going to continue reading it everyday. So that makes 3 books at once. Then of course there's the fact that my second submissions have started and soon after is my second internals. Of course we're going easy! I'll probably be reading at Sou's pace for some time :P
Albeit I hope that's not the case!
Yeah but it's creepy! And disturbing! That's enough to have me intrigued. I didn't plan on reading it but I couldn't resist. Also Abhay recommends it. He says the movie was so creepy he couldn't even sit through the first 10mins! Now that's some dark sh**! Plus it's small. Shouldn't take a lot of time :P
Creepy is intriguing. My reading schedule's light at the moment so maybe I'll try that one. Or watch the film :P
Oye don't watch the movie alone! We'll buddy watch. Which reminds me.. Have you seen Gone Girl yet? That was also one of our buddy watches :PJoin in if you can! I only read the intro last night. Didn't have my laptop and it was really difficult to read on phone. The language is more difficult than I thought. And what about ATOT?
No, I haven't seen it yet. I've got the movie downloaded, waiting for you now :PI've read the first 3 chapters of ATOTC. I'll see if I can get my hands on a copy of A Clockwork Orange.
I couldn't start today. I'll catch up by tomorrow. Hopefully :POkay then I'll wait for you on that. I'm through the first chapter. Not reading further today. The language is a lot to bask in!
Yeah, those are 3 very short chapters, and I'm not in any hurry to finish so take your time.I've found a copy of ACO. This cover is horrible though:
I started it today. I think I'll only finish the Introduction aj. My copy has one by Richard Maxwell and it is quite detailed. It also has some comparative studies which is really interesting! Do you think we should set a time frame for when we have to complete this one? You're reading a physical copy? I bought a few books this month so I'm out of budget for now :P
Yeah, that cover is horrible! Although, I think it'd send me into hysterics instead of scares. Lol!
I don't need to set a time limit for ATOTC, it's kind of a leisure read for me.I read the first few chapters of Clockwork Orange. Are you even finding it interesting? I mean there are better sci-fic books out there. And there're so many unusual words that when I tried to discover its meanings, I got super-frustrated. I'm reading an ebook, but I think I might not continue it.
You've read it before? Sorry I couldn't comment Lete the intro today. I started in the evening but then I had to do this assignment that just would not finish! It's 4 right now and I'm still only half way through :\The submission is between 12:30-35 tomorrow morning and I have no idea what I am going to do! God save me!
I couldn't read that further either. I'm still dead at chapter 1. Thought I'd catch up a little today but. I can't really say. Sou says it gets quite disturbing a little further into the book. I stopped him before he could tell me more. Id still give this one a try. Let's see. You can stop if you want :)
And let's add The Prisoner of Life by Jeffery Archer to our TBR too. I started it last year with shin and Abhay but couldn't complete it. I want to now. Join me? It's not anytime soon but it's still in this year. Lemme know :)
And as for the meaning of the words- go to wiktionary. Type in any word from the book and it'll give you a link to that. That's really helpful. I'll try to finish the book by Sunday. It's a short book and hopefully I'll have a little more time to read on Sunday. I'm packed till Saturday. I don't expect much progress :P
