This was a great return to the land of Harry Potter, which picks up at the exact moment we left Harry, Hermione and Ron. The script format made it an extremely fast, yet engaging read. This book focuses on Harry and Ginny's son, Albus, who considers himself a misfit alongside his legendary father. He befriends Scorpius Malfoy, another misfit but for different reasons. The two form an important bond that leads them both into an adventure to devise a way to right an old wrong and bring Cedric Diggory back to life. The story is delightful and the characters are just as lovable as in the original series. And there are important moral lessons too, for fathers and sons alike. I look forward to parts 3 and 4, whenever they might make their appearance.

My son and I saw the stage production here in Melbourne in May, and we loved it so much that we’re going again in January. I didn’t read the script beforehand so it was all totally new and awe-inspiring.
Saw the show twice on Broadway, it was just so amazing. Read the play beforehand and found it flat, just ok. But oh man, that production! Really exceptional theater.
