I think we have discussed this before, but it's a topic that can be pretty richly mined. In a word, no, I do not finish if I don't like it! Too many good ones out there that need more attention!

Tonya Jyll (tonyajyll) | 4 comments Unfortunately, I suffer through books that I’m not connecting with because I am not a quitter. That being said, I don’t want to waist anymore time on books I’m not enjoying. I end up in a terrible reading slump.

Heather (dragonflymornings) | 43 comments I used to finish everything, but these days I quit stuff I’m not into about half way through. Earlier if the writing is just bad. I once quit a book in two pages. That said, if it’s something I’m just not in the mood for or the timing is off, I’ll add it back to my To Read list and give it a second chance. There are several really great books I just wasn’t ready for the first time and loved the second.

Tonya, I understand completely, and I have been there. I still have problems "quitting" a book even if I don't like it!

Heather, same! Sometimes a book seems like it would be the perfect book in theory, and I get so excited for it, and then just, ugh or eh. And try again later!

Laura Noble | 6 comments I don't finish every book I begin. If I don't like how a book is going or if there is no enjoyment or benefit to reading the book, I don't feel obligated to continue it. In my opinion, there are too many books out there that I will enjoy/benefit from to continue something I don't.
