Kadi wrote: "4 left fangirl!! You can do it👏🏻"Thanks! Let's see if I can complete the challenge next month.
You are definitely going to finish before me. Did you like Cinder and Six of Crows, or did you love them?!
I liked Cinder(3.75-4stars)(it was quite predictable but I loved the concept of a cyborg). I LOVED Six of Crows! My best read for 2019! I want to write reviews for both of them but I don't know why I'm procrastinating! What about you?
Oh my goodness gravy! Those are two of my favourite series! Keep on reading the lunar chronicles. The beginnings are always a bit rough for her it seems. And then read Renegades. The third book comes out in November, and I'm dying waiting for it
I'm definitely looking forward to read Scarlet. Renegades seems good. I'll definitely read them, just can't tell when. Thanks for the recommendation.
2019 seems full of great new releases. There are a few books I'm/ was looking forward to myself!
Yay! It's the best (excluding Harry Potter, of course. Those aren't even in the running. Nothing could top them.)
Which ones?

This was the 2019 TBR challenge but sure go for it! It's not really time restricted, I just create a new TBR challenge every year. Which reminds me, I need to come up with one for next year!
Now the pressure is on for me to make it a great one!😱 I've already got a New Year's Readathon planned as well, I've been waiting to do it since January this year! At the end of December I'm going to ask everyone to recommend the best book they've read in 2020 then I'll make a list and it'll be like the October readathon except in January instead! What do you think of the idea?
Ooh great! Stay tuned then Sandra, I'll be making a poll in December for it and will send an invite out to everyone...
😱yay! And I can’t wait too! No literally I’ve been waiting since jan this year to host this New Years event next year😂😂
@Jess I'm pretty sure the idea stemmed from a conversation I had with you at the start of the year! It was either you or Ilsen or both of you😂 We were talking about how I always start off the year with increasingly bad books. Like this year I started with a book I awarded 3 stars the year before it was 4 stars the year before it was 5 stars so now following that trend next year will be 2 stars. So to try and break that trend and save me from the pain of having to read a 2 star book we'll have this readathon instead!
Yea you talked to me about it but I think we all discussed it at some point!! I’m super excited! I have some great books that you all should read 😏
Ilsen wrote: "Yea you talked to me about it but I think we all discussed it at some point!! I’m super excited! I have some great books that you all should read 😏"
I know it's going to kill you Ilsen but you can only choose 2 books for the Best Books of 2020 New Year Readathon!😂
I actually have this whole other idea that you guys all might like. I call it: Reader Recommends. So instead of the books of the month each month (because lets be honest most people don't take part in it so lets replace it with something else) I'll randomly choose a group member from those who have agreed to take part to recommend like 10 books they love, 1 will obviously have to be MG but it's up to them what the rest are and the genres are totally up to them too. So each month will be a new Reader Recommends so like January can be like: Ilsen Recommends and February can be like Jessica Recommends etc etc but obviously there's only 12 months in a year so only 12 people can be chosen.
Even if people don't read the books it will generate conversation which I totally love and we'll all hear about some new books we've hopefully never heard of before!
Let me know if you guys are interested in this idea! I'd have to start sign ups for it in December in preparation for January!

The new TBR challenge I'll post in Jan 2021 will have all new prompts! I need to think out of the box for some interesting and different ones I haven't used so far! Any suggestions you guys might have I will definitely take on board😊

What a creative idea! Sounds like fun.
@Jessica @Lynn I'm glad you guys are interested in it! I'll send a message out about signing up for it in December!
Okay, so I only found this part of the group just now but I've suggested this to Kadi via message:I think these can allow flexibility to choose what books you want to read but still purge that TBR! Here are some of the ideas:
1. Friend Recs - Pick a book that has been recommended to you by a (real-life or online) friend...or else they will never speak to you again.
2. Unfinished Series - Pick the next book of a series you haven't finished but are still interested in.
3. New Author Exploration - Pick a book whose author you haven't read from yet.
4. Dat Cover Ugly - Pick a book with a less-than-aesthetic cover.
5. No Idea - Pick a book that you have no idea about or only a vague one.
6. New Series Start - Pick the first book of a series you haven't read yet.
7. Online/Booktube Discoveries - Pick a book you discovered on Booktube (Could be done with Bookstagram or Booktwitter or Bookish Buzz too).
8. Goodreads Discoveries - Pick a book you discovered on Goodreads.
9. Bookstore Discoveries - Pick a book you discovered browsing through a physical bookstore.
10. The Hype iz Real - Pick a book that's been getting a lot of hype recently (published within the past year or so).
11. Standa-lonely - Pick a stand-alone.
12. The Elephant in the Room - Pick a book from the top 5 longest books on your TBR.
13. Shortie Binge - Pick 2-3 books from the top 5 shortest books on your TBR
14. Dat Cover Pretty - Pick a book with an aesthetic cover
15. Rereadathon - Pick a book you've read before (possibly buddy read it with someone who hasn't read it while/after you read something they're rereading that you haven't read already).
16. Page to Screen (Seen) - Pick a book that you've seen a TV or movie adaptation of.
17. Popular books - Pick a book from the top 5 books on your TBR with the most number of ratings.
18. Unpopular books - Pick a book from the top 5 books on your TBR with the least number of ratings.
19. Old Author Rediscovery - Pick a book by an author that you've read from before.
20. Page to Screen (Unseen) - Pick a book that's been adapted into a TV show or movie that you haven't seen or finished.
21. Genre of the Month - Pick a book from a genre to be determined by a spinning wheel.
Let me know what y'all think!
I guess the reader recommends idea can fit into #1! (Sorry, I only just read that too. I know, I'm terrible.) I'm good with whatever at this point honestly! I desperately need a TBR purge haha. I want to keep my read and to-read difference at about a hundred.
@Spencer thanks so much for the ideas, I got your message too but I’ll just respond in one place for ease. I’m loving these ideas so I will definitely incorporate some of them into next year’s TBR challenge! Also I’ll be setting up a 2021 event suggestion page soon so you can leave any more ideas you have there so it’s in one place when I want to remind myself of the event options👏🏻 I’ve got so many things to organise for the next few months I love it😂
