Here are your July 2019 Mini Challenges!


RULES

** Books DO NOT all have to be mysteries. You can use any genres.

** A book can be used only once for this challenge, but can be used for other challenges (Seasonal, World Trip, Ultimate, etc.).

** You DO NOT have to choose books in advance, and can change your mind at any time if you do.

** Do as many as you are able and have fun!


1. July 1 is Canada Day, July 4 is Independence Day (U.S.), and July 14 Bastille Day (France): Read a book with a red, white and/or blue cover.

2. July is National Hot Dog Month and National Picnic Month. July 6 is National Fried Chicken Day, July 10 Teddy Bear Picnic Day, and July 17 National Hot Dog Day: Read a book that features a picnic or picnic food, either in the book or on the cover.

3. July 19 is National Daiquiri Day and July 24 National Tequila Day:Read a book that features some sort of alcohol—either on the cover or in the title—or is set in a bar. (Authors to consider: Allyson K. Abbott, AJ Carton, Sheila Connolly, JA Konrath, Melinda Mullet, Carlene O’Neil, Michele Scott, Joyce Tremel)

4. July 20 is Ugly Truck Day: Read a book with some sort of truck or car on the cover, or that has “truck” in the title.

I love the Meg Lanslowe books by Dona Andrews, one of the few authors I purchase in hardcover.
