Evan | 3 comments The topic of nannies who solve crimes recently came up and I recalled a book I read in 80s or 90s about a group of nannies (in London IIRC) who work together to solve crimes in addition to caring for children in their charge. I can't recall much else so am hoping it rings a bell wit someone

What age reader is it for?
Author's gender?

message 3: by Evan (new)

Evan | 3 comments Pretty sure it YA...... and I think the author was female. It seemed like it was written to start a series but no idea if a series eventuated and total blank on the cover.

Evan, can you describe the crimes and victims?

How old are the nannies?

message 5: by Evan (new)

Evan | 3 comments There was a range of ages to the nannies with the oldest being the primary detective and leader of sorts - she was treated with some deference by police as she used to be the nanny for someone quite powerful in the police and it was rumoured she helped him with cases, and the youngest was relatively young as she was having an affair with older sibling of her charges over whom she had authority but not responsibility - the sections dealing with them were sort of PG erotic
