Here are your June 2019 Mini Challenges!

RULES

** Books DO NOT all have to be mysteries. You can use any genres.

** A book can only be used once for this challenge, but can be used for other challenges (Seasonal, World Trip, Ultimate, etc.).

** You DO NOT have to choose books in advance, and can change your mind at any time if you do.

** Do as many as you are able and have fun!

1. June 1 is Dare Day: Dare to get out of your comfort zone! Read a book featuring a theme* you don’t normally read or — for those who read across genres — read a genre you don’t normally read.
* For example, books featuring antiques, academics, puzzles, fitness/sports, witches/ghosts/paranormal, genealogy, etc. For more ideas, check out Stopyourekillingme’s job index.

2. June is Candy Month: Read a book featuring candy of some sort (caramel, chocolate, fudge, gum, jelly beans, licorice, lollipops, mints, taffy), either in the book or on the cover.
(e.g.:

3. June is National Adopt a Cat Month and June 4 is Hug Your Cat Day: Read a book featuring cats or with cats on the cover.

4. June is Country Cooking Month, June 3 is Eat at a Food Truck Day, June 10 Herb and Spices Day, and June 18 International Picnic Day: Read a book featuring food/cooking (for example, books by this month’s Featured Author, Maddie Day).
(Other authors to consider: Connie Archer, JJ Cook, Krista Davis, Lee Hollis, Kylie Logan, Paige Shelton)

5. June is Dairy Month, June 4 is National Cheese Day, and June 7 is National Chocolate Ice Cream Day: Read a book featuring dairy products (milk/cheese/ice cream/yogurt) or a dairy animal (cow/goat/sheep) in the title or on the cover.

Can you believe we’re heading into the last week of May already? Here are the June challenges for those who wish to scavenge their TBR mountains during what is in many countries a holiday weekend (Memorial/Remembrance Day).

Happy hunting! 📖

This book is a cozy, but it has a lot of ancient history mentioned along with an archaeological dig, neither of which interests me, but I like this series and author, so I gave it a shot. I hear ya, Vanessa. I read a book by this author (on audio) and it truly was really bad ... the writing and the narration. Luckily it was a freebie. I decided I would not read another book by this author nor listen to another audio by this narrator. Lessons learned!
