Placeholder book covers

I have a placeholder cover I would like to upload until the finalized cover is finished, but I don't want the placeholder to show up as the main cover for all eternity (the old covers appear first on all my books, despite uploading the new ones). Is there a way to avoid this?

Is the placeholder clearly labeled as such on the cover itself? Will any copies of the book be sent out with the placeholder cover, perhaps as advance review copies?

Great! Then you can go ahead and add it. When you are ready to add the real cover, just post here again and any librarian can remove it and replace it with the real cover. Since it is labeled as a placeholder and won't be used on ARCs, there should be no issues with doing so.
