Ed | 9 comments I'm trying to spark discussion in this forum. The first book I ever read in this genre was Clifford Stoll's The Cuckoo's Egg. Like all current cybersecurity books that I consider good, it was non-fiction that read like a tech-thriller. What are some other books you've read that you think were early trendsetters in this genre?

Ben Rothke | 4 comments Check out the Cybersecurity Canon - https://researchcenter.paloaltonetwor....

The go to site for information security books.

With that, The Cuckoo's Egg was definitely the first and one of the best written.
Kevin Mitnick’s earlier books are also interesting.

Ed | 9 comments Very cool site, Ben. I actually knew about this a couple of years ago and forgot. PAN has been a key vendor of mine for some time. Good to see Cuckoo's Egg is listed in their hall of fame. I need to get them to review my Cyberwar fictional series. I don't see any fiction in there.

Ben Rothke | 4 comments Anyone can submit a review to the Canon.

Perhaps have someone write a review if they think the book is worthy.

Esfan | 1 comments Just started reading This Is How They Tell Me the World Ends: The Cyberweapons Arms Race, by Nicole Perlroth.
It definitely reads like a fiction, having a hard time putting it down.

We need some discussion in this forum!
