Jeremy Grinnell | 1 comments Years ago, listened to short audio book (say 3 hours or so). Title was something like "The disturbing(?) life of..."
Middle aged man living with abusive mother (like Skinner in Simpsons). works in dead-end office job, many shenanigans about not having toilet paper in bathroom.
Trying to find himself, goes to get massage for first time, ends up with large chatty Af-Am woman giving him a handjob
Eventually, his boss is murdered by someone else, but he confesses because he likes the female detective.
Ends with him in prison, occasionally confessing to murders, just so he can see the detective again.
Had a very "Confederacy of Dunces" feel, if it had been written by Camu.
Been all over the internet with searches, any help appreciated. Thank you.

A shot in the dark, without a book description - The Incredibly Boring Life of Peter Black by A.H. Lavigne?

Jeremy, around what year did you read this book? I find "years ago" means different things in this large group.
