Not at all acceptable to "pretend" you are a lesbian.

Myrna Solganick I enjoyed the first part of the book. But pretending to be gay to avoid the reality of the main character's demise is not believable and not cool. And she did this - why? because she was afraid to tell her grandmother and her friends that she had resumed dating a man who is a workaholic and has zero interest in commitment. He is married to his job. We dont need more female characters who are weak, who hide behind lies, and who have zero comprehension of what a relationship is. For any member of the LGBTQ world community who may struggle with self acceptance, or the acceptance of others, this book is an insult. I did not find it romantic or funny.
