Yvonne | 86 comments I didn't quite finish this in March but I'm glad I finally picked this one off my tbr shelf.
I enjoyed the setting in southern Australia in the 1920s and the information about lighthouse keeper life. I thought it was well written and presents dark decisions in contrast to the beacon of light. Isabel so desperately wants a child, when a baby lands on the shore of their isolated lighthouse island, she convinces herself it was meant to be raised by her and husband Tom. But of course this leads to the struggle between what is right vs just desperately wanted.
