The movie was long too. Glad you could get through it. I read this so long ago, I had to guess how I felt about it.

It was. I gave it four stars. Part of the story was based on the experiences of the author's grandmother as a homesteader in Montana.

How did you like the Bradbury book?

It was scary, but I liked it anyway-because of the ending and the writing.

I read Dandelion Wine a couple of years ago, and this book takes place in the same town. But the atmosphere is very different. Dandelion Wine is a lyrical lovely dreamy kind of book.
