I got a start on it this morning, but will likely be reading a few other books simultaneously so I'll try to match your pace once you get started.

Ch 9 - (view spoiler)[ Yes! I had a feeling that Marik and Safi would be attracted to each other. BUT....I'm a little worried that her Uncle is about to marry her off to someone else. I have a feeling that this "freedom" that he is promising isn't the kind that she is thinking of. (hide spoiler)]

Ch 17 - (view spoiler)[ Eek, I can't wait for Iseault to see what kind of threads are between Safi and Marik - heart threads???? How convenient that he is the one that was contracted to transport her! In other news, how does one Kill a Bloodwitch if stabbing him in the heart doesn't do it?
I'm secretly thinking that there might be a heart thread between Aeduan and Iseault too - she can't see her own threads, but why else would she have no scent to him and be so intriguing?? I can't wait to find out!!! (hide spoiler)]

Finished - (view spoiler)[ Oh no! I'm so upset that Safi didn't get away. Now she has that chain around her neck, she is essentially a prisoner of Marstok regardless of her agreeing to it. It might only be a tiny bit better than having to bed the old Emperor of Cartorran. Ah and there are so many exciting story threads for the next book: Of course, how will Marik and Iseault team up and rescue Safi; then there is Aeduan - he knows the truth about the two of them, yet still wants to work with his father who can't be good if he employs the Puppeteer; then there is the Puppeteer herself and her "friendship" with Iseault - will she ever come to her senses and see that what she is doing is wrong? And then there is Leopold - where did he run off to? He seemed to be in on the plan to prevent war, but something tells me that his magic is powerful and something that hasn't been explained yet. I think he will be a key player in the future. (hide spoiler)] I'm excited about the next book, now I just need to find some time to read it!!
