June's Books of the Month - Books Chosen!

This is the nominations thread for June's Book of the Month & Group Buddy Read. Just a friendly reminder that it's always a good idea to look over the guidelines if you've never nominated before.

Feel free to nominate any Christian fiction book of your choosing, whether it fits in with the monthly challenge (Wedding Challenge - check this link for more info) or the CFD author of the month for June (Roseanna M. White), or it's just a CF novel you've been itching to read, so long as you follow the guidelines and the book released AT LEAST three months ago (no later than March 2019).

PLEASE REVIEW THESE GUIDELINES:
-Please do not nominate a book we've already read as a group in the last three years. You will be asked for a different nomination if you do. Find our shelves here:

-Remember that a book must be out for 3 months or more to be eligible for nominations and voting

-Any author is up for nomination, as long as the book you nominate has not been a group read during 2016-2018, however, try not to nominate an author that we've read this year already.

-If it is a book in a series that is not the first book, make sure you know that it can be read as a standalone and doesn't require the previous books being read to understand and enjoy.

-Please note that there may be more reasons that a book is not a good fit for nominations or group members as a whole, whether it be availability, cost, accessibility, etc. The moderators reserve the right to make these decisions. Please know we do our best in making these kinds of decisions, and we're all human. Your patience is appreciated. Thank you for your understanding! :)

In the future would it be possible to add the book links at the bottom of the poll? I've seen this done and it's easier than doing it in two different windows.

I voted for the only one of the three I was interested in that I can get from my library network. Christian novels aren't particularly popular in this state.

Does your library have a purchase suggestion feature? My public library has a decent selection of Christian books. But when there is a Christian book I want to read and the library doesn't have it, I always use its Suggest A Purchase feature. And they always purchase the book, except when it is unavailable on their list of vendors.

Karin, the links to the books are at the bottom of the poll - it’s the covers at the bottom underneath the poll and right above the comment section. Unless I’m misunderstanding what you’re meaning. There’s no way to put more information about the book without clicking on the cover and going to the books Goodreads page.

Let me know if I’m not tracking though.

Edited to add - if you're talking about when the title was linked in the poll itself, I no longer do that because it takes too much time on my end, and my time is limited. Doing it as a book poll automatically generates the covers at the bottom, and it also searches for the book as I type in the title. A lot less clicking for me and a big time saver.

Ooh! A Name Unknown was such a fun read! Anyone jumping into that one: be ready to want to immediately read books two and three once you’re done! My favorite is the final installment, but the series builds nicely.

I don't need to start another series, especially when I've started but haven't finished RMW's Culper Ring and Ladies of the Manor series. However, since my library has an eaudio of the book, I may join in.

I have finished A Cup of Dust--it was better than I thought and I just kept on reading. I am going to read the rest of the trilogy! I know I'm in the minority, but I'm always happy when it's not a romance and has some real pith to it as well.

BUT, it takes more than that--this book was well written and she really did her research. I will say no more.
