For the month of April we will be reading Nonfiction books!

Please use this post to discuss your opinions about this genre, books or authors you like or not, or to ask for recommendations from others on books within the genre.

Questions:

Is this a genre you already were reading regularly?
If it was:
1. Favorite books or authors?
2. What do you like about this genre?

If it wasn't:
1. Is there a reason you have never tried it?
2. Did you enjoy the genre? liked/didn't like?
3. Do you think you will continue reading it?

Please post the book or books you read that month for the genre and let us know what your opinion was.

I started Murder By Family today. I am not usually a fan of nonfiction but this one has a nice flow to it and has been easy to get into.

I finished my book. It was a sad story and somewhat uplifting at the same time.

I surprised myself by enjoying it since I normally shy away from nonfiction books.

If it wasn't:
1. Is there a reason you have never tried it?

I always felt that the books were dry and boring, just full of dates and boring facts.

2. Did you enjoy the genre? liked/didn't like?

I enjoyed the book I read, I think my enjoyment would be dependent on the subject the book was about.

3. Do you think you will continue reading it?

I think I am more open to picking up a nonfiction and giving it a try.
