Title: The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck: A Counterintuitive Approach to Living a Good Life

Author(s) name(s): Mark Manson

ISBN (or ASIN): 9781925483598

Publisher: Pan Macmillan Australia

Publication date: 27 September 2016

Format: Paperback

Description:
For decades, we've been told that positive thinking is the key to a happy, rich life. Mark Manson, however, doesn't sugar-coat or equivocate: "Fk positivity," he says in his wildly popular internet blog. "Let's be honest, shit is fked and we have to live with it."

Backed by both academic research and well-timed poop jokes, Manson makes the argument that improving our lives hinges not on our ability to turn lemons into lemonade, but on learning to stomach lemons better. It's time to recalibrate what it means to be happy: there are only so many things we can give a fk about, so we need to figure out which ones really matter.

An antidote to the coddling, let's-all-feel-good mindset that has infected modern society, and filled with entertaining stories and profane, ruthless humour, The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F
k is a refreshing slap in the face for a generation spoiled by being rewarded with gold medals just for showing up.

Justin Paramanandan (jusuchin85) | 3 comments I was attempting to add another edition of this book into Goodreads but was met with the message below:

Isbn13 is taken by an existing book with the title "NOT A BOOK". Search for 9781925483598 in the header to view it. If you believe this is an error please double-check your data, then check the Goodreads Librarians group. ISBNs are optional so you can also add this book without an ISBN.

However, as posted in the link above, it is an official paperback book re-published by Pan Macmillan Australia.

Emily | 13184 comments That's unusual. Goodreads staff will have to remove that ISBN from being "not a book." It must have been used for something else before.

If someone doesn't run across this thread soon you can send a message to Support and reference this thread.

Justin Paramanandan (jusuchin85) | 3 comments thanks Emily.

yes, Ed. but I'm just pedantic and wanted to add another ISBN since it is a valid book published by the Australian publisher of the same name. never hurts to cover ground, eh?
