Traci | 6 comments The model seems nice and lightweight....still a Kindle fan though.

I applaud any and all electronic advances and with Barnes and Noble behind it....I hope it is successful!

new_user Very cool. Thanks for the link, J! Seems a lot more versatile than the Kindle and thinner and lighter than a tablet PC (probably cheaper too).

Not sure if there are any Apple fans here but it looks like the Apple tablet may come in and sweep out all the competition. Even poor Plastic Logic!

Total MAC gal, but not sure if these are just rumors. Not planning on commiting to any eReader until I know what MAC is going to do. I figure they will let it be known sometime before the Plastics reader launch.

new_user Eh, I think it's much more likely that this will be a bigger iPhone or a completely functional tablet computer (in which case it's too heavy to compete with any eReader on the market). Apple cannot compete in the netbook market with their pricing. If you're in the market for a new Mac or iPhone it might be worth considering.

Jenn | 126 comments I have read stories that it is an ereader and others that it is a netbook. I only want it if it is a ereader, not in the market for netbook.

I'm hoping they go this route for somewhat biased reasons. I want that push toward ebooks being sold at Itunes! :-D That will most likely be the premiere place to buy them since folks go there for audio products. Otherwise, I'm with you guys. I'm not really committing to a reader. Especially as long as DRM is king. Yuck.

Yes, it is. :-(

Jenn | 126 comments Another contender. Very tempting but I think I am still going to hold out for 2010. I know, I am such a geek.
