1 Million Group Challenge!!
I would like to post the 34 books that I've read in 2020; however, I hesitate because, typing them on an Android phone, I cannot post links or covers.
I could post them for you, Jim. I presume they are all on your 2020 page? And i do everything here on Goodreads on my Android phone. I use the desktop version of the website. When you use the desktop version than you get the little link at the top of the box you write in. It let's you post the book covers and links..at first I was using the mobile version and I wasn't able to do any of that stuff.
I only see 8 books on your 2020 page...
Sarah B, I've changed my mind. Between the wretched Wifi connection in my house and the interminable typing of books that are not on Goodreads, the only way I can get my books and page count into this thread is to cut and paste my Notepad+ file. I don't think I can participate.
It's ok if you can't participate, Jim... And one can ask that books be added to Goodreads through the Librarians group, but that's probably too difficult for you with the wifi situation.
Good afternoon! Despite the spotty WiFi in my house, I have created a 2020 Reading Challenge shelf on which I placed 32 of the 34 books I have read.
Hi Jim! Thanks for putting your books on the reading shelf. When I have more time I'll make a list and then post them over here.. I'll be very curious to see what you have been reading! 😁

Yes you can correct it. You need to use the desktop version of the site, click on My Books and you will see a long list of books. Then you need to find each of the books you read on that list and look at the info for it. You need to make sure that it's status is READ and that it shows a date in 2020.If your device cannot handle that, then you send an email to the people running the website and ask them to do it for you..but then you need to give them a written list of the book titles.
I suspect it's the date missing in your case. Because if you just simply add the book by clicking on "read" in my experience no date is added. Because the website doesn't know when you read the book. It could be last year or 5 years ago so it leaves that part blank for you to fill in later.
If you read book this year and you want to add a bunch, what you do is: click on "currently reading" for each one and then click on "finished". It adds an extra step but it's easier because then the date for the current year is automatically added..
If you look at the bottom of the page you should see a link that allows you to switch up and back from the Mobile version of the site and the Desktop version. But you need to be on the actual website. Not using the app. It's always right under the logos for the Apple and Google stores.
When I first joined the site it took me a long time to learn how to do this stuff. Now the majority of the time I'm on the desktop version. Before I would always be on the mobile.

How do I get rid of the duplicate dates?
