Amy | 9390 comments Kelly, 10 of your 36 are some of the topmost favorite books I have ever read! This is guaranteed to be a great year for you. But if one of the Laura Anderson Boleyn titles gets picked, start with number one. Also, read the Huntress with me this year, if it works out. 💗Amy

That is a good sign!! I will read the Huntress with you. So I know what books are must reads, which ones are your favorites that I listed?

message 4: by Amy (new)

Amy | 9390 comments Disliked Less.

One of my all-time favorite books over a lifetime, is the marriage of opposites. I recently enjoyed the sun is also a star. I have to post it now re-look at your list again.

Amy | 9390 comments We were the Lucky Ones is in my top ten this year. Faithful was last years top ten. Anything of the Boleyn King Series. Loved Circling the Sun. Loved the Heretic Queen and anything by Michelle Moran. Let me look again.

message 6: by Amy (new)

Amy | 9390 comments Loved the Boston Girl and Room on Rue Amelie! That was a contender for the last spot on my Top Ten. Still is. Having some trouble figuring out which one of like four or five books really gets that last spot.

message 7: by Kelly (new)

Kelly | 848 comments Thanks! I Those will be the ones I will read even if they do not get picked. So I have some things to look forward to either way!

Amy | 9390 comments Did you see my list of seven books that I would love to read in 2019? I’m excited you’re read the huntress with me. But if it’s on your list, we will have to see if our times matchup. I’m excited about that one.

message 9: by Anita (new)

Anita Pomerantz | 6758 comments I love your list, Kelly! Even if it took a long time to compile lol.

message 10: by Magdalena (new)

Magdalena | 414 comments Your list is really appealing, I'm having to hold myself back from adding more books to my tbr lol! I have I was Anastasia on my tbr and although I probably won't have it on my trim the tbr list I'd love to do a buddy read if it gets chosen for you.

Barbara M (barbara-m) | 2300 comments I'm seriously considering adding Marriage of Opposites to my list. I'll put it as the same number as yours if I can. I love Hoffman.

Amy | 9390 comments You should Barbara! My favorite book ever!

I really want to read An American Marriage too. I love the author. The plot sounds similar to If Beale Street Could Talk (which I might read that with another group in February, and has a movie coming out).

Marriage of Opposites sounds good to me too and I'm not sure why I've put it off so long. I also want to read Less, We are the lucky ones, and maybe books by Quinn and Genova (but I have other books of theirs on my list). I think I own Rue Amelie. The Susan Orlean book sounds good too (I loved the movie Adaptation - Charlie Kaufmann is brilliant imo) though I didn't read her book about orchids. The Nicholas Sparks book looks good (though I have a friend who still makes fun of me for loving The Notebook)

I really liked a Visit from the Good Squad, but many in my book club didn't.

Amy | 9390 comments Nancy, I loved all the ones you mentioned - except for Less. It personally did not suit me.

Book Concierge (tessabookconcierge) | 6407 comments Hi, Kelly ....
I have The Boston Girl at # 8 on my list .... would you be willing to switch your numbering so we match at # 8?

Then, if that number gets called we can buddy-read it.
