Question 3- Were the characters appealing/believable/interesting?

I thought they were believable although somewhat dated. I did wonder about Clarice's mother who pushed pregnant Unity Bellwood down the stairs to her death. Calrice's mother's motivation apparently was an obsessive fantasy that Dominic was in love with her...

Not sure that made sense, perhaps I misread it, but it seems a wholly too big of a coincidence that two people connected to Clarice have died from being pushed down the stairs.

I don't think you misread as I had a similar idea. The whole story-line is too contrived, I think.
