Misti (spookster5) | 473 comments I saw Mortal Engines yesterday. There were so many changes from the book that I walked out unsure of what to think. I loved the visuals! Trying not to be too spoilery, I I did like Tom more in the movie than in the book. Shrike was uber creepy looking! Some characters survived the movie that didn't in the book. One rather important character was left out (but I guess I'm kinda relieved about that). There were some other parts of the book I would've loved to have seen onscreen but they didn't make it. Now that I've had time to mull over the changes, I think I found the movie ending more satisfying than the book (don't hate me!).

Vanessa | 101 comments I saw it too and thought it was fun! I definitely liked it better than the book, though I was a bit bummed they took out most of the steampunk stuff (it still has cities moving over land at 300 mph though, so I guess I shouldn't complain).

Shrike was awesome, and I loved the actor who played Anna Fang. I'd recommend it to folks, and the visuals make it worth seeing in the theater.
