Paul Bryant | 96 comments This may have been raised before, but however - I have seen that a number of books have a phrase included in the title which should not be there - example:

Sing, Unburied, Sing: SHORTLISTED FOR THE WOMEN'S PRIZE FOR FICTION 2018

https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/4...

I assume this has been copied over from Amazon. But that SHORTLISTED phrase shouldn't be part of the title, right?

Abcdarian | 19392 comments You are correct; deleted from title. You might want to put this in the Project section: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/group...

Paul Bryant | 96 comments I might make it my own project, but it seems like whack-a-mole time....

thanks all

Paul Bryant | 96 comments I see that other kindly librarians have removed the "shortlisted" parts of the various titles - next question is about the word "GRIPPING" ! Again, it seems that some books have included advertising blurb in the titles - here's the search

https://www.goodreads.com/search?q=gr...

an example is:

Her Last Breath: The new gripping summer page-turner from the No 1 bestseller

https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/3...

so, I guess all these should be removed, right?

Yes, these 'subtitles' should be removed.
Please note: there are also valid subtitles with the word gripping.
