You may want to check out The Hole by Hye-Young Pyun. I only started it last night, but am having that Ogawa feeling, notwithstanding the fact that its author is Korean.

I also highly recommend Finnish author, Antti Tuomainen. I've read 4 in the last year. The Man Who Died was my favorite, but Palm Beach Finland was a close second.

i'm looking forward to Memory Police, but am a couple of weeks away from starting it.
